  1. Good morning/day/evening, fellow employees. I am a kind of new player, but I already fell in love with this game. Also, nice server you have here. I will surely stick to this place for a longer peroid of time. Serve NT. (You will often find me on the server as Ryan Xovr. Before you break your tongue it's pronounced Zor.)

  2. Basically someone held from behind in a killgrab should be immune to falling over from stuns (they can't act in this state anyways) or crit, allowing the person to effectively use them to block tasers, disablers, and bullets until the person grabbed has expired or until they've been released. Additionally the person performing the grab should be able to shoot over the person. This lends another layer/option for antagonists who can effectively grab people and use them as bodyshields, threatening people chasing them (if they can pull it off) to back down and retaliating if they don't. It also encourages people not to blindly rush in like idiots when those oh-so-rare hostage situations crop up. It'd be balanced by the fact that getting one of these grabs on someone is actually pretty damn difficult in the first place, and that your mobility is limited while holding a person in this manner (making it really only ideal for maintenance corridors where you can't be flanked from the sides).

  4. Thank you, I am trying hard. My philosophy is that we shouldn't play to win, but to have fun. So I am really trying. Thanks for your kind words!

  8. RIGHT. Here's my ideas. There is a lot of resistance to giving Science any kind of powerful stuff in R&D. Sometimes this is valid, sometimes not, but here's my totally terrible thoughts to think - I'm not a science player, so numbers will not be accurate. Let's say all tech levels go from 1 - 10. 10 is max it can go. The issue with things being added is that it is no issue to max R&D in 15 minutes, if that. My idea is based around the Phazon. Now, the Phazon requires an anomaly core to be constructed. This isn't an item that spawns, it requires successful completion of a random event to happen; thus you do not see Phazons every round. What if we extrapolated this idea and linked it to antagonists/events? Examples could be - Brain of a changeling needed to go to the next Bio Level; Some rare ore that only spawns in meteors to get to Electromagnetic Level; An organ from a Xeno Queen for Plasma Level; Vampire ashes for Bluespace Level; ERP logs for Illegal Level; Something that drops from the Rogue Drone event for Combat Level; The possibilities are endless. What this would mean is... You could have powerful things at the top end of science because they won't always appear in the round. But yeah, this is based off of the current method of obtaining a Phazon, which I haven't heard anyone complain about much.

  9. I agree. Space lube is basically a shorter range multi-tile taser with a lot of ammo that can stun multiple people. The problem with it isn't that it can be helpful to antags, it's that the only reason it's ever used is because it's such a great weapon, rather than having any intrinsic RP value of its own. This is NOT a competitive video game. Unfortunately, there is a ton of focus in this server, even from some admins, on being "good" at the game, so it sort of results in an arms race between antags and security, leading to absurd scenarios like security having to carry around a crowbar and floor tiles.
