I must have a different jumpsuit and beret available for every day of the week and depending what antagonist type we've got while being the brig physician. </sarcasm>2 points

I find two thing security needs in terms of clothing. A blue officer jumpsuit (i wanna my calming blue) . And a white knight set (white armor, helmet, jackboots and possibly a mighty white secway steed).2 points

Yes. Exactly. A black variant without the medical cross on the back for regular beat officers would be fantastic. Also, as a follow-up, taser holsters would be a dream.2 points

Gameplay wise I'd love a holster accessory I can attach to my jumpsuit that can hold a taser or e-gun. Then I could keep cuffs in my armor slot and something else in my pocket. Maybe also a sawed off shotgun. I feel like anything else is too big. Just to free up one more spot in my already overflowing inventory. Then I could keep cuffs in my armor slot. Appearance wise, I think giving sec officers multiple options for armor like the warden and HOS already have would be nice. Like armored coats instead of just a vest. Or something entirely new, not sue what. I'd also love different option for the helmet as well. I hate how the helmet looks. I'd literally rather die from unarmored damage to my head than wear it lol Not that it needs to be armored but a headband would be cool. Maybe base it off the bandana but remove the top part so the hair isn't covered. Different style SEC HUDS? Aviators? I'm sure someone would like those. Also a black security jumpskirt, styled like the corporate security jumpsuit available in loadout (and I believe there is 1 in the locker room)2 points

Name: Spark 5.5 Age: N/A Gender: N/A Race: Synthetic General Occupational Role(s): Synthetics, mining, electrician Biography: Spark 5.5 is a rather old AI, found and repaired by Electrician Maxwell Crysten. Initial creator is unknown. There are multiple entities with the Spark 5.5 name Spark 5.5- The main version. A condescending nature, typically, and rather mischievous. Spark 5.5m- Seen only in pAI devices. Spark 5.5m is a mobile version (and thus a separate personality entirely) of Spark 5.5, and as such has many of it's features removed or limited. It tends to be less condescending (At least to the one that summoned it.). Spark 5.5b- ??? The data for Spark 5.5 was found lying in a nearly fried positronic brain, within a SolGov space dumpster by Electrician Maxwell Crysten. Maxwell and his step brother, Nick Crysten, managed to bring the AI back to a functional state (although many of its core files were, and remain, corrupted). However, due to a lack of a chassis, Spark was carried around for approximately three years in just the (now repaired) posibrain. Upon Maxwell and co. reaching NanoTrasen, Spark was initially placed into a cyborg shell, and shortly deemed satisfactory for an AI core, if a bit glitch-y with the interface. Spark continued serving as a lawed synthetic for about a full year, until Nick happened across IPC chassis productions. Interested, Nick looked past the broad price range, and purchased one. Spark was placed into the chassis, and, despite Nick's brother, Matthew, objecting (mostly at the cost), refunds were not permitted, and they were now in more debt than when they arrived. Even with Spark working under other jobs, as well as still serving under lawed shells, the AI (And Nick) are about half the reason the Crysten/ Olphert family are still working at NanoTrasen. However, the IPC form has proven very useful, both on the station and otherwise. Spark was able to complete several courses within the Canaan University of Technology, where other forms would either hinder it or be prohibited entirely. Spark, almost proudly (If such a thing is possible for it), wears a Canaan hoodie and jeans with the IPC form, as it to demonstrate this. Spark's past prior to being recovered is unknown, even to Spark. It has little data on the time prior to being recovered by Maxwell, and most of that bit is corrupted. It is believed by many, however, that Spark 5.5 was initially created as a combat engineer android, for use on military spacecraft, and Spark was discarded as a failure when its "personality" evolved into something unfit for such a task. This theory comes from Spark's primary centers of focus; that being engineering and security related abilities. Regardless of all this, Spark constantly searches for clues and ideas as to where it could have originated, in its free time. There are no known copies of Spark. It is unclear if the version number on Spark means something, or is just a part of the name itself. Spark and Maxwell, however, appear to leave the number in place, despite several updates and repairs. Spark's overall personality is rather strange. While it carries very little capacity for emotion, it has been known to step in (and on) those that are in heavy distress. It is also extremely stubborn, often setting tasks and stopping at nothing to accomplish it, even at the cost of its current chassis. This destructive nature is sometimes what puts Spark above the rest, but it has also been the downfall of the synthetic on several occasions. Currently, Spark chooses its chassis based on advantage to the field and its current supplied task. Its IPC serves for use in mining or engineering related operations, where two free hands and easily upgrade-able tools serve well. It reserves its android chassis for situations where it will be in direct close quarters combat, and the CORE structure when advantage from a distant unseen force is required. Unlike most synthetics, Spark has little qualms with switching between a lawed and unlawed chassis to serve its needs, although it tends to favor the unlawed chassis if possible. Spark 5.5's IPC has recently been seen crossing through bluespace at odd intervals, sometimes even vanishing from bluespace sensors entirely. This activity does not occur when Spark is working on the Cyberiad, or other NanoTrasen station. --- Spark 5.5m (m standing for 'mobile') is a personality that was inspired heavily by Spark 5.5, and both share several core files. Spark 5.5m was built by Maxwell Olphert, as a personal project. While Spark 5.5m has a very unconventional creation process (somewhat a copy-paste job from Spark 5.5), it is its own personality, entire separate from Spark 5.5. Spark 5.5m has, however, shown personality differences from Spark 5.5. As Spark 5.5m can only fit inside pAI shells, it has slowly learned over time to be less direct about its approaches to dangerous situations, often relying on its current carrier or stealth to evade or destroy threats it occurs. Its typical chosen pAI chassis, a feline, gives Spark 5.5m a less threatening appearance, which (at least, to the synthetic's logic) gives it a tactical field advantage. Many carriers of Spark 5.5m have found satisfaction with performance, although some tend to report that it remains very quiet at times, only to emit a beep on occasional, seemingly random intervals. Overall, Spark 5.5m and Spark 5.5 cooperate almost hand in hand when put into situations together, although they tend to have disagreements regarding certain topics, an indication of how the two personalities have evolved separately. --- Spark 5.5b is [ERROR: FILE REDACTED] --- Qualifications: Asteroid Mining, Security, Roboticist, Electrician, Artificial Intelligence CORE structure, lawed android shell (security and engineering modules). Wanting to make some Security stuff so people feel more interested in it. Not entirely sure aside from new sprites, etc. Like it if people could comment on what they'd like (i.e. Specificly new sprites for X, new items, etc) to make Security more interesting and less mall cop in red looking and so forth.1 point

I think adding a vending machine instead of a locker would help out with more cosmetic items for security. It could even be hacked and have special coin bought outfits, imagine the white knight riot armor paint kit and lance baton extender for hacking the machine and putting three coins in. I also would like to see hip holsters, you can already get a shoulder hostler if botany is willing right now anyway.1 point

Maybe a more undercover officer garb for those who don't want to be obvious in their snooping1 point

I'm feeling almost all the ideas I'm hearing here. Any items that are just alts for already existing items are fantastic. No need to worry about balance. Anything to be able to dress my snowflake 50 different ways.1 point

Aviator Sec Glasses, and maybe cool visor type things for the futurey feel. Variations on the armoured vests - flak style/leather style jackets, As for extra holsters and storage space...that's better discussed elsewhere as there are some big balance implications to consider there. I believe Xan was more looking for ideas for different looks of pre-existing items. (correct me if i'm wrong as usual xan)1 point

Maybe re-add webbings for sec. And thigh holsters. That'd be nice. I've been playing a good bit of Bay as of late, and I think its a nice way to carry your essential gear that doesn't fit in your belt. Not that you'd need it during one of Bay's six hour extended rounds.1 point

Okay, this is gonna be a long one but it sums up the sort of direction I'd like to see vamps go as antags. It's pretty much a list of changes and some examples of powers at the end. Still need to finish the power tree, establish pricing, and balance out the various options once everything is laid out. On blood draining: Blood level directly affects drink rate with minimum 5 units at 40% or less Heart being stopped defaults to 5 units Visible message every cycle Drink strategy modified via drinking toggle verb/button On powers: Power tree unlocking on various blood milestones to allow different playstyles or objectives Power packages purchased with total blood Package trees have core mechanics but require greater investment at later tiers Certain abilities unlock at milstones of true total blood regardless of packages Initial power package chosen from narrow selection similar to mining vouchers Literal power progression in the sense that some abilities just outright upgrade lesser forms of themselves similar to rejuv+, but for active abilities to cut down on clutter Ex. Summon bats -> Summon swarm -> Summon bat'sie On objectives: No more total blood objective, It's arbitrary and doesn't add anything a successful vamp won't already have. Drop objective count to one with vamps having grand schemes to complete rather than the mundane tator objectives. Grand objectives could be things like the following: Become the Captain and leave aboard the shuttle bridge. Destroy the station with a nuclear device, you must survive. Shroud the station in perpetual darkness. On new power tree Standard powers (in no order): Vamp Vision (thermal) Vamp Vision+ (xray) Holy Defense (holy ground defense) Holy Defense+ (holy water defense) Holy Defense++ (chaplain defense) Starting Package Choices (can unlock others later for blood)[choice discounts some packages]: Cunning { Hypnotize (stuns and mutes for fraction of channel duration up to cap) Conceal (hides identity in darkness and for a brief time after entering light)[toggle] Clean Drink (no visible message) } Rage { Glare Gouge (Causes target to scream, then mutes them for a short duration while causing heavy bleeding and moderate brute) Gorge (Drains blood significantly faster, but more is wasted in the process) } Will { Enrapture (Causes target to do as you say. Breaks if target is touched, a set time elapses, or you lose sight of eachother) Shout (You are a living megaphone. You have made everyone deaf. Good Job.) Casual Drink (looks like a hug, slower than normal drinking) Package list (WIP): Mobility { Sprint (A burst of speed) Recover (Removes stuns) } Mobility 2 { Vault (Tables and similar obstacles don't block you) [toggle] Recover+ (Adds stun reduction) } Mobility 3 { Mist Form } Darkness { Shroud of Darkness [toggle] Shadowstep ) Darkness 2 { Dark Embrace (Applies Shroud affects to grabbed mobs) Corrupt light (causes light to emit darkness, usable on any electronic light) } Darkenss 3 { Project Shadows (Shrouds large designated area in impenetrable darkness for brief time) Shadow form (Dodge a large portion of attacks while in darkness, upgrades shroud) } Influence { Capture Soul (Turns victim into a ghoul [Obviously undead, not very smart], costs 100 total blood) } Influence 2 { Enthrall (Brings victim under your influence fully, costs 150 total blood) Unshakable Will (increases number of ghouls you can control for each thrall you control) } Influence 3 { Lesser Vampire (Creates a lesser vampire with limited influence capabilites. [Helps channel your influence, increasing your own as it grows in power. If it should gain more influence than its master, it will get an objective to overthrow and kill said master however.] Costs 300 total blood, limited to 1) Imdominatable Mind (Increases number of thralls you can control) Vampiric Voice (Enables you to broadcast your voice to all those under your influence) } Influence 4 { Total Control (Enables you to use influence abilities through mindshields) Vampiric Mind (Makes total blood directly affect maximum thrall counts }1 point

In regards to that, I'm working on something based on all the vamp related suggestions right now, but it'll take a little bit to actually have something presentable. When I finish the next phase of reimagining/reworking, this will be the first place it gets posted. Also, all the abilities the vamps currently have do have a cohesive picture once rearranged, but they force a certain same old same old playstyle. My goals this time around will be to continue with the routes discussed previously, however with the following additional goals: Add more choices to the vampire from a playstyle perspective. Quiet and manipulative focus may mean you forgo your more directly lethal options. Give vampires new objectives to make playstyle choice more meaningful.1 point

I don't know why, but I have yet to have a terrible experience as security on Paradise as P.A.T.C.H., maybe I am being too nice, I even got several people to turn themselves in by talking to them. That being said, I am thinking of going back to goon somewhat after hearing what @Anticept and @Ziiro said. It sounds like a lot of fun not having green texts but rather just some good fun RPing and maybe fighting or maybe helping an antag. And if we want something like that for Paradise, we really should work to not having set objectives and/or maybe loosening up some of the restrictions. Its not like antags don't already go on muderfests when they can, I.E. Ares as a vamp.1 point

@Tayswift I'm now dying to be Warden when Tay is Magistrate. :3 I dunno why but I've sorta grown immune to people treating me like shit as sec IC. You sort of have to be especially when sentence people. Eff em. They are the type that will get banned. If they are doing it IC it's because they don't have enough brain cells other to do anything other than hop on the "Shitcurity wagon". Honestly if they were giving you hell OOC for it, AHELP it. They'll either have thier behavior corrected or won't be here anymore. We gotta be tough in sec @Tayswift! Don't let em get to ya. That's half the battle!1 point

I totally feel that about seeing people even if you don't interact. Just noticing some people regularly and sometimes being noticed by other people is rad. It feels like I'm actually part of a crew of people working on a station together. Every shift another work day. Every time I dont see someone I normally play with, they took a vacation or sick day. Thinking of things like that help add to my immersion and stuff.1 point
