  3. Giving IAA's more power has been discussed and was met with approval but well .. nothinig was done with it. IAA's are just assistant+ at this point. Calling dibs is just petty and stupid. Department rooms and resources should be used by everyone in a department, not by just one person. 'Get out, this is my OR!' ... just doing my job, yo.

  4. If you want to stop people handing out all-access during war ops, the simple way to do it is to add a 20 TC item that lets a traitor spoof a war ops announcement. Traitors could use it to get legit all-access and then complete their steal objectives. Crew's only counter would be.... not giving out all access indiscriminately during war ops. Adding a server rule to prohibit this behavior is a bad idea. Server rules shouldn't force people to behave in blatently unrealistic ways. When a nuclear team has publicly broadcast their intention to nuke you and kill everyone, doing whatever you need to do to survive is the realistic response. Worrying about SOP isn't. SOP exists to serve NT's interests. It is not in NT's interests for their station to be blown up.

  5. Those are all good points, but I would like to point out a life lesson I learn..."Work with what you got". I believe there needs to be a stop to allowing people to take advantage of these all access and use their brain to figure how they can contribute to the fight instead of trying to what...powergame?

  6. I don't see a problem with awarding all access. IC-wise, nuclear operatives have declared their intention to destroy the station and kill everyone on it. You know they will be arriving shortly, armed to the teeth. It is only natural for SOP and standard behavior to go out the window in such a situation - everyone is in it together, fighting for their lives, whether they want to or not. Giving out all-access still means people with certain jobs can take the job gear first, if they want it. It just means that if they don't take it, someone else can, since it is such an emergency.

  7. Awarding all access can also be incredibly useful in combating operatives as it allows the crew to no longer be impeded in ways which they already were. Not being able to open a door on nukies is literally the difference between life and death for crew members, and more often than not the people you need to handle something (MD's, Security, Science, Cargo, etc) are either too busy with other things or are already dead. It's a double-edged blade. If people are using all access to steal actual important things (war-ops or not) such as the hand-teleporter, NAD, reactive teleport armour, ETC, ahelp it. All-access does not mean people are exempt from the server rules.

  8. We need a straight forward law who say no to all all access in nuke wars it just doesn't work, it makes the place a mess and the abuse is insane, yesterday I joined 5 minutes late into a nukies round as security and the armory was already raided and the medical crew had more weapons and gear than me, 2 medical guys where walking around in security hardsuit, it's fucking stupid. And we also need more active mentor/admin help to the nukies about is objective and questions to prevent them for dying for oxyloss in space, no jetpack or buying a macrobomb to kill his entire team

  9. Surprisingly, medbay was working flawlessly that round. The psychiatrist built the beekeeper stuff in his office... Later that round, some players attached an ipc head to a monkey body, but that's another story.

  10. This one happened about 2-3 months ago but it's worthy of being told n I completely forgot to. I'll name this "Where's my office?" I spawn as Warden. No HOS. That's fine. Nothing unusual to start. Things are slow. About 15 min in a HOS shows up. His name is John Blennon -.- IC he says "Can I have a taser? Sry I didn't spawn with 1" Oh Lord I'm like "Why don't you take YOUR laser from your office?" Him "Where is my office?" Me (dead inside) "Let me show you..." I escort him to his office, he says "Thk u" I drag my feet back to my quarters. The captain is there. I salute "Greetings captain, to what do I owe the pleasure?" Captain "Hi...is my office around here?" IRL I'm like ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?! Me "Not here...let me show you..." I escort him to the bridge. Inform sec what just happened on sec comms n they are like "Ohhh shit...one of these shifts..." Blueshield greets us at the bridge. While the captain inspecting thier office with the fascination of a young child, I pull the Blueshield aside. Blueshield "You look mighty fine in that skirt and sandals" I whisper "Wanted to give you a heads up, this captain and HOS literally did not know where thier offices were. We've got our work cut out for us...PLEASE keep a close eye on the captain and show them what's what" Blueshield leans in "You. Me. Bar. 12:35." I'm like "I'm busy, tend to the captain!" and stomp back to the brig. I'm dazed. Maya Stewart is there as magistrate. I inform her of the situation. She is like "Oh lord...let me see what I can do" and walks off. I'm starving, go to the sec lobby to grab a cup of chicken soup from the vending and while I'm standing there a nukie walks by in the hallways towards the bridge. I inform sec on comms, open the armory, grab a shotgun, and run towards the bridge. The captain and Blueshield have no idea what happening. I give the captain the disk, the pinpointer to the Blueshield and I'm like "NUKIES!". Blueshield is in the middle of the bridge and is like "Hey there doll, take it easy. You reconsider that date?" immediately after saying that a nukie with dual esword comes up behind him and decaps him. Clueless. I fire off a few shots before my agony is finally ended by the sweet release of death. Don't really remember what happened after that aside from the nukies successfully blowing the station up. I was probably furious and salting in deadchat. Maybe that's why I forgot to post the story. I may have blocked it from my mind until now.

  11. This tale focuses around the time a Brig Phys helped a Vox murderer. So there's a murderous rampaging Vox (We'll call him $Vox) on the loose, extremely dangerous, unable to be contained. Has killed a lot of sec members including the HoS as well as other command members. I've been killed twice and have very minimal equipment. So logically if you're the Brig Phys you wouldn't want to heal a mass-murderer at large right away (uncuffed, armed to the teeth) in BRIGBAY so they can't get straight back to their murderous rampage of other crew members right? Wrong! The Brig phys decided to do just that. I see $Vox casually walking out of brigbay with the Brig Phys and what does $Vox do next? Why $Vox lets out a massive EMP that knocks everyone over, kills the IPC HoS and Magistrate, and runs away of course! Standing there in pure dumbfoundment, I then stunbaton the Brig phys and cuff him for aiding and abetting a murderer on a rampage. I then start to yell at him - he tries to justify it with his "doctor morales", or something like that. $Vox comes back to the brig later on, this time with telekenetic powers and is harmbatoning another officer with their telekensis in processing. The rest of us rush $Vox and I load $Vox full of syringes from a rapid syringe gun used by another rampaging murderer earlier that shift. I think it was Cyanide. $Vox was then on the floor, stammering, asking "WHYS!?!" as they died. It was finally over. The end.
