Diablo's an alright guy and Ipsum makes a decent effort at being a good sec officer. Don't attack him just because you don't like his biography.2 points

A quiet start to a shift. Nothing wrong with that of course. You can read Jonah's Crew Record here.1 point

Phoenix Station 13: (Stolen from the idea of the book/movie "Flight of the Phoenix") A passenger/mining refinery ship crash lands on a large monster infested roid. Bombarded by fleshroids and space carpe the survivors must repurpose the wreckage and work together to bloom where they have been planted. They must build a new life from the dust and the ashes... The general purpose behind this idea is to create a game mode that encourages the more creative sandbox/construction nature of the game. Give a minimal start to the players encouraging work and cooperation. Let players create and design and build (and gather resources for) their own work environment instead of having it precreated for them. Most/All players/survivors should start with Space Suits on or available. (If possible I think it would be great if a large portion of the players started with varying wounds). Players should have goals for constructing and getting rooms functional (medbay, hydroponics, communications, etc.) A lot of players will find they must fill temporary roles. Ex. A surgeon might need to be a miner for a while, a botanist might need to be an engineer, etc. Perhaps there is some greater ancient evil lurking deep within the core of the Asteroid? Maybe I borrowed a little of this idea from dwarf fortress? As an RP side note, I think new players that join mid game should be "Found among the wreckage" or mysteriously/purposefully "Cloned" into existence (if there is a cloning bay available). I'm not a good finisher. I have ideas but my mind doesn't really let me complete them. If this seems like a good idea, please refine it and make it better. I like the feel of the idea, even if I can't explain it well I also lack the power and capacity to bring it into existence on my own. :/1 point

So it's that time, after soon to be 3 years I'm gonna make this suggestion again :) Summary: Effectively just a karma point job to be a musician as there are a lot more musical instruments currently in then way back when so it makes sense. They'd most likely spawn in some maint shack with a closet of instruments. Have some complimentary random musician escape shacks to look at.1 point

I like this Idea Haddock, I would agree on merging Hydro and Kitchen departments.1 point

Streaky Haddock has unretired, returning to the position of Trial Administrator.1 point

Not really. They're seperate entities, but the Kitchen is a heavily reliant parasite. Kitchen adds nothing to Hydro yet Kitchen is vital to the rest of the crew and heavily dependant on competant/active botanists. Honestly, I'd like to see the two entities merged into one, with the botanists reporting to the Chef, and freezer access restricted to the Chef so he can still murder dudes without anyone noticing. Then the freezer could be placed in between the kitchen and bar; so the Bartender could actually get some produce from hydro. Like, many of the fruits and berries have zero or a single recipe attached to them for the Kitchen; but the Bartender might have several recipes that he never uses. Bartender's booze dispenser and soda fountain gives him a wide variety of stuff, but he could make some specialised or just plain cool drinks without ever having to bother chemistry or mining. Hydro can make radium, liquid uranium and even neurotoxin. That's not even mentioning the bottler or the other cosmetic things they can grow/make which the bartender can use to brighten the place up. Wood, Carpet, grass. Fancy tables, poker tables, easels... I've forgotten what point I was trying to make. Oh, right. Science and Hydroponics have a good relationship if they're both staffed by competent people. Science only needs 1-2 samples of each of the things and then they never need anything from Hydro ever again, and putting them under two heads like they are with genetics won't really add to that or change the way they do their jobs. Botanists will still make weed and wood for the crew, belts and holsters for sec, feed the chef (or distribute fruit/corn if the chef is absent/shit) and do their own horrible, questionable experiments with the equipment that science will or won't give them. (tl;dr i'd be happier if the bar/kitchen hydro mapping would be changed to make them work more closely together as opposed to pulling hydro away from the service department by splitting them with the RD)1 point

Emagged Drones can't be reset or blown. So put this in the CE's locker and at any point, he could pop a nuisance drone's laws, or send a drone alert to a room to summon all drones to a location; as the drone console between atmos and atmos delivery already does. This should have no impact on emagged drones. Because honestly, I think the drone console gets forgotten about a lot.1 point

Love it. As it stands, there's no way of dealing with a trolling non-emagged drone short of asploding it, and I'd love a way of calling drones to a location. I have to admit, though, I'd really love more ways of interacting between crew and drones like this, especially when the station starts getting holes blown in it and I need hands (or grippers) on the smoking hole where Cargo used to be bloody yesterday.1 point

It was a post like many others on r/ss13. The same, tedious claim that the Paradise staff are playing Judas with the moneybag. Unsubstantiated rubbish, as usual. But it did bring something to my attention: Our Patreon is bringing in more than twice the monthly amount we need to run the server. Seeing as we have an overpopulation issue, why not consider getting a second one? Goon does it. TG does it. Why don't we? Yes, it would require more staff members, but we've got fertile recruiting grounds. There are other issues that this could also solve: The RP divide, for instance. We could keep one server with the current rules, and another that's properly MRP. Or the development one. One server could be used to test various novel PRs, while those who prefer stability could stick to the other one. And so on and so forth. Surely I can't be the only one in favor of this?1 point

1. You need some latin lessons 2. Please don't use the scientific latin name of the species of your character to name your character. Nobody names their children "Homo Sapiens Sapiens" 3. When someone says you are "a trained soldier" at the age of 22 that means you are probably going to be assigned to the frontline of infantry. 4. Nanotrasen is a mega-corporation, they don't have armies, and therefore they don't have generals. Their private military forces are mostly composed by Elite squads led by captains, sergeants or officials. 5. Please keep in mind that Space Station 13 is a game not meant to let you live your fantasized characters. They will die, they will ridiculized and they will be laughed at, unless you earn your respect. And you have to earn that respect without abusing all the meta-knowledge the wikipedia has to offer (Example: knowing surgery, chemistry, bomb disabling, airlock hacking and torch juggling all at once) since that is cheap and might even get you banned. Good luck gaining that respect on a server with an average population of +100 players. And even then you might end face-down in a pile of their own bloody feces. 6. You also seem to both severaly underestimate, and then severly overestimate, and then again severly underestimate the conginitve learning ability of an ,allegedly, intelligent sentient being. 7. I could go on but I want to give others the chance too. SENTENCE:1 point
