Hi, folks. I'm not exactly a new player, but I'm only now getting into the community. Discord, forums, etc. You may have seen me around some, either as Amos Clyde or, more recently, Vincent Rader. I've been mostly playing Cargo or Miner, but I've also been playing some chef and botanist occasionally. Hope to see y'all around!

Hello everyone! It is I, Mister Man, although most people would know me as Francisco Unk. I've been on this server for a bit, although I started taking it more seriously a few weeks ago. Nowadays I spend a bit too much time playing, and there's a good chance you've seen me around at least once. I've played a lot of roles throughout my time here in pretty much every department, and I occasionally dabble in command roles if I'm feeling adventurous. Nowadays I play shaft miner mostly, but I'll still switch it up every few games. I don't ave much else to say here, so I'll see you around!

Hello Y'all. Im Quinn. maybe a few of you recognize me as Sarah Lancer from the last couple of days. ive been reluctant to play SS13 for years, but now that i gave it a shot, its pretty damn good! currently my character is going through a pretty normal career progression; from civvie, to janitor, to cargo tech, and currently as a new shaft miner. my hope is that i can eventually learn enough to promote her to roboticist, and much, much later research director. i dont know what else to say sooooo see y'all later

(i do hope this isn't too much of spam hghfhdhg) we hitting february and march 2021 today this one's featuring Cure#FF99FF during a round where Idunn's brain was stolen after her murder, and following Cure flatlining, Idunn briefly encouraged her to keep living for the short short moment they were reunited in the afterlife. here's a short sketch of Idunn and Freya in their original renditions! their relationship is much messier in their original verse, but they do get better as people and make up eventually :] this one's from a round with Idunn and her girlfriends (Angel Anide and Rivera Kirkland) where we had queued up to learn cargo tech, and our QM (who was APPARENTLY a syndicate agent) spent their whole shift teaching us the ropes, it was hysterical when the round ended and we found out LMAO finally i have my current Idunn ref, which covers her three typical outfits :] it's got a couple notes that I expand on more in her crew record (found here), but i really am pleased with how it came out!

The code that handles our forum/Discord integration has been updated. The main change is that the code now uses the latest Discord API. This is important, because Discord is going to turn off the old API, so had we not updated, our Discord integration would have abruptly stopped working sooner or later when Discord did that. Other then that, the update is mostly just bug fixes. Don't expect any obvious difference. If you do notice anything odd, though, let me know.

Overall this is a pretty solid idea and has good merits. Allowing people to RP without exposing their identity has def RP benefits. Having them craftable is great so that it doesn't guarantee they're an antag. Along with the lack of destructive potential, it seems solidly a C class contraband. It's not grief that's my worry here per-se - the item isn't going to hide you from admins! - it's being generally low-RP and memey that's my worry. Anonymously shouting about shitcurity over comms, and general low-grade greytide behaviour that is not by itself prohibited, but not something we want to encourage. Usually the social-shaming is enough to help curb a lot of this behaviour. Anonymity seems to very much allow people to act like dickwads. It might be worth considering making them harder to craft for general crew. The goal is to allow antags to RP without exposing themselves, not to give the crew anonymity. As long as it is technically craftable by crew, then it means you can't guarantee unknown=antag.

Hey Quinn! You might know me as Francisco Unk, and I've really enjoyed the few rounds I've played with you, whether it's been "working" together as roboticist, or just seeing you around every once in a while. Glad to see you're enjoying the game, and I'm glad I could help you learn robotics!
