Inspired by a post @Woje made in the current Suggestion thread regarding cutting hair. Currently, you can only perform CPR if both you and the target have nothing on your face, and you are able to deliver rescue breaths. However, compressions are arguably the most important part of CPR - to the point that the AHA changed their algorithm from "A-B-C" (Airway - Breathing - Circulation) to "C-A-B" (Circulation - Airway - Breathing) in 2010, prioritizing high-quality chest compressions over opening the airway or delivering breaths. In fact, there was a study that was released one year prior to the AHA changes that showed that prehospital cardiac arrest patients had a higher survival rate when just given an oxygen mask as opposed to being mechanically ventilated. I don't want to get too off-track on how things work in real life, because SS13 is a game and ultimately isn't a 1:1 facsimile of real life. However, I would like to see CPR be able to performed when you can only give chest compressions - perhaps at 75% effectiveness? If both parties can breath and have no masks, then let it function as it currently does. This would allow CPR see a lot more use, and would also allow better management of patients when you have 2+ medical staff attending them. No more worrying about administering a medication that the other doc is already on top of, or treating the same damage area - now one person can focus on CPR to help stabilize while the lead medic runs things.6 points

To put it upfront, life's been busy as hell lately in finding a place to live, going from one end of the state I'm in to the other and at the time of writing, potentially looking in a different state entirely due to the job opportunities available there. I'm finishing off the last year of a Bachelor's degree online and moving on to a Master's program not long after, but as a result of that I'm not able and wasn't able to do as much shit for para from near the beginning of this year till now and a little beyond that to the point I'm not sure if most of you goblins remember me being around! There's been a lot of big shit going on when it comes to staff politics and as much as it sucks to say it, there aren't enough hours in the day to knock that thing out. I'm hoping that others continue the surveys Shadey started (especially as it's nearing that time again!) and keeping up at least the occasional community meeting to let everybody know not only what's been going on on the back-end, but to take in new ideas and feedback from the people actually playing the thing. Para's been a pretty big part of my life for the last 7+ years going from 13 to 20, I could say it's practically raised me in some regard from how much time I spent on it, especially between 2013 and 2018, but at this point I'll likely have to take the longest break I've ever had from it just to make sure things are stable in life. If any of you goblins have questions, feel free to toss em in this thread, otherwise, just try not to burn the place down while I'm out, eh?6 points

I don't make art especially often, but somehow I've wound up making several SS13 things, so I guess it makes sense to make one of these art threads to store them all. Some pixel art I did a while back of Yikaya. A low-res 3D model of @SlimeBird's ever-popular caffeine-addicted vox, Chikitita, made in PicoCAD. And finally, the result of my attempt throughout last week to learn Blender: a scene of @rwn's IPC S.E.A.G.U.L.L. drifting through space. (And a bonus close-up on the face)2 points

Finally someone gets off their ass and actually says this on forums :') It only took us weeks, guys... Yeah, I think CPR is a pretty good feature when it can actually be used. Lets more people help out with someone without getting in the way too much, helps people survive until the paramedic gets there (hopefully discouraging every random tider doing paramedic's job), I just like it for the flavor also.1 point

As of right now, wearing anything on your face will prevent people from cutting your hair, giving a message telling you to remove their headgear first. For some masks this makes sense, as you wouldn't be able to cut hair through a gas mask, but for normal breath masks, this is strange. It also prevents certain species from getting their hair cut at all, due to them being unable to take off their masks.1 point

Compared to traitors which are captured and put in perma, clings are a lot harder to play due to being KOS. Once a cling is confirmed you get beat to shit and beheaded normally. The kit doesn't quite make up for that in my opinion.1 point
