Hello everyone, as some of you know I've been working hard on prepping to do a custom event. I'm asking for around 18 players (more is always great) to take on event roles. It will be on the Kerberos and will involve lore factions such as CyberSun and BioTech as well as custom event factions called the Motley Crocodile Pirate crew and the Cult of the Jasmine Chalice. There will be custom items, shuttles, and objectives and I think it will be a blast. The Event will be held during 2:30-6:00 PM EST on December 18 so make sure you're on the server at that time. If you're interested please fill out this Google Form Q&A: I'm not sure what this event is about, could you tell me some details?: I cannot actually tell specific details but the basic rundown is that there's a few factions (as listed above) competing for some rare artifacts on the Kerberos. Among the main roles, there's people that specialize in bounties, illegal trades, and reconnaissance. There will also be a general populace part of the event that will be the station objective and start about halfway through the round and go on for 10-20 minutes. What if I put down a character name but am going to change it inbetween now and the event?: This is just to help me a little bit, your CKEY is the most important information I need, however, I will ask for your new character name before the round start during the event. What if I'm absolutely awful at combat? Don't worry there's many among us that don't really play SS13 for hardcore combat or being the most robust of them all. Almost every role has RP aspects of it, some of them are almost completely RP/specialized mechanic based (think medical). If you're really concerned about not being able to fulfill a role with objectives that may involve a bit of fighting or sabotage please lmk over PMs beforehand. What if I get removed from the round or I show up late? don't worry! I have a minimum of 5 ghost roles prepared for those of you!!!

Hello, I believe this could be a good change given all of the colored jumpsuit options are already there. I like to have the core items I want to wear in the pregame loadout so it's certain I will get them. Maybe other people think the same I don't know.

As the title implies, I am resigning from Maintainer, as I need to focus more on IRL things, hosting, and my own mental health. I wont go into too many details, but this is the way forward for me to preserve what remains of my sanity. FAQ Are you staying as Host? Yes. I dont plan to resign from Host any time soon. Believe it or not, its a lot calmer than Maintainer for a fair few reasons. Do you have a successor? No. Nobody at the moment has the required skills or etiquette to be a Maintainer. Event: Photo Day Quick description: The Librarian (and any assistants they can rope in) is tasked with taking yearbook photos of as many crew members as possible. Reason for suggestion: Librarian has always felt like one of the least "engaged" roles on the station, so I and some friends have put a lot of thought into how to make it more fun and involved. This morning while joking around we came up with an idea that seems both fun and doable, so I thought I'd put it here. Necessary map changes: No, this event should be feasible on any station that has a camera and a photo album. Necessary code changes: No, this should work completely within the current system. Ideal player count: Should work with any number, but 60-80 is probably the ideal range? Detailed description: Potential modifiers: Notes: Best for extended/"quiet" shifts, as it will involve a lot of people being dragged away from work for a few minutes and as such will be extremely difficult to pull off if the crew is distracted by a blob attack or at risk of abduction. Head of Personnel and Captain should be informed via CentComm fax when this event is happening, as they play minor roles in it. I recommend requiring around 60% of the crew for objective completion; it's enough of a majority to feel both challenging and worthwhile without being such a majority that it's nigh impossible to complete.

Awesome idea! If you wanna expand on this, the librarian can post each photo on newscaster and each character can get a quote there, creating a "photo album" on the newscaster.
