If you do get sent to the gulag, most prisoners just mine into space, which, due to no hardsuit, causes them to die. Additionally if they mine straight up they will run into an abandoned alien station with a red space suit and a space pod, basically a free ticket to freedom..

Well the assumption I'm trying to be Jensen and not just appreciate the neater look is much appreciated... I guess I can understand, even though Examine works wonders.

Simple. HoS no longer has an armored TRENCHcoat (they have a regular coat but not trenchcoat) and dermal armor patch. They had the exact same stats as the HoS hat and regular coat, so there is no reason they should of been removed.

According to Mel, the primary server will never be unlisted and the recently opened secondary server will never be listed. I'm interested in seeing how this goes.

OPTIONAL slime mechanics/alterations based off of biology
Scrat replied to Gibson1027's topic in Suggestions
I dont really like this. Slimes used to have noslip but it has been since removed. Besides that, this would just further nerf slime people due to adverse effects from certain chemicals and make them especially more vulnerable. Basically that would just make them more fragile people who dont need to breathe. -
Updated to reflect Vox changes.

Not completely blind, but the blurry white filter that appears when you're rather badly wounded, you know the one.

Wearing a plastic bag on your head with no ID should make you unknown akin to what the Gas mask does. Why? Because imagine someone putting a plastic bag on their head to assassinate someone so they aren't found out. Do it.

According to Fox the Autodrobe is back in its proper spot while the one in the rundown bar will remain there, meaning there are two now. REJOICE!

I honestly don't know why this change was made. Of all the issues that are around the server, people dressing themselves up in fancy and cute costumes is probably near the rock bottom. From what I believe and from what I see. there is little to no reason to remove the machines and nobody (except that one guy who voted no) actually had a problem with it.

It really is long overdue and has been suggested countless times to no result. As for people making nonsense or unfitting names, people can do the exact same with Tajarans, Unathi, and especially Diona which have a straightforward naming system (IE a real diona would never ever be called Bob as their true name) and so that argument is rather moot.

Updated. Vox can no longer Leap and Slime People can no longer ventcrawl and do not have noslip anymore.

Made some very small changes and additions to Machine People, updated Plasma People to reflect their removal.

Yeah, in a nutshell we dragged the Blueshield all the way to surgery and one Op carefully did cavity thing surgery because we figured the disk was surgically implanted. Once he was finishing up every area it could be hidden I found the disc in his black webbing vest. With regards to the topic, this Ghoststation must indeed stop because the chaos is what makes the rounds worth playing.

I honestly believe the server should be relisted, at least on weekdays. The low pop may be more peaceful, but the tradeoff is that almost every vital job is understaffed or completely UNstaffed. I had a nuke ops round the other day and us Nukies won even after multiple fuckups that should have spelled our doom. We killed the three or so people that actually cared about stopping us, then dragged the blueshield to Surgery and took our time to search him, find the disc, then walk to the bomb and turn it on. My point is... while insufficient admins may be an issue, the server's pop seems to be gradually dropping a bit and the crew is understaffed almost every single time.

For hunting for small artifacts such as cultblade, you can find the guide here viewtopic.php?f=15&t=161 To answer the question, if you pick further than you're supposed to, no matter the pick size, you can break the artifact. And for the larger artifacts (crystal, ninja crate, etc), it is a much simpler process. You need the hand pick, Alden-Sparasova counter, depth analysis scanner, and regular pickaxe. Step outside with your tools, use the Alden counter to get a background radiation reading. An example is it may give a reading of 130m. You then proceed in any direction, and use the counter again. If the number increases, change direction. If the number decreases, continue in that direction. Once you reach 3m or so, switch to the depth analysis counter and scan the rocks near you. If the scanner pings, chances are it's your artifact. Use the hand pick on the tile, clearing out small rocks along the way, until you reach Rocky Debris. Pick it a few more times, and drag your artifact out of where the debris was. Enjoy your useless crystal (as is a common find)! The wiki is also here if you need information. http://80.244.78.90/wiki/index.php/Guid ... rchaeology

Actually, pickaxes are pretty hefty; 15 brute damage, maybe 10. Much more robust than the famous toolbox which in actuality only does 5.

Made some minor changes / additions to Vox, Machine People, and Plasmen.

To explain. Previously, Leap would allow you to tackle a person nearby and throw them to the floor and give you an aggressive grab. Now the leap knocks both the Vox and the target down for the exact same duration so it is completely useless, it cant even allow the Vox time to get the fuck out of there. Also previously, Vox could survive in space without a hardsuit but cannot anymore. Previously yet again, Vox didnt bleed nor have blood. Now they do. When speaking, randomly Vox characters will emit a "Skree!" noise audible for a fair distance, making sneaking, the main Vox skill, difficult.

Removed the information about the now removed overheating and cooling system for Machine People (can wear hardsuits and armors without overheating, same for using pods), also wrote briefly how to restore a dead MP back to life

VICTORRRYYYY!

Vox updated to account for recent leap nerf and limited info on testing-phase plasma people!

Is it? Explains why you're forced to run away from any threat whatsoever or else itll kill you right off the bat..

I completely agree with these, especially seeing as how my favorite race is unplayable right now! However currently they take about 20% more damage from brute sources, and raising it to 50% more would probably mean that a mean look would make a Machine Person explode. Dont even get me started about bullets! IMO their brute weakness should be either kept as is (which makes you fragile but still decent) or nerfed about 5%. Though currently EMPs of any sort, whether from ninja, wiz, or grenade, kill you instantly and I believe it should stay this way since if you were close enough to such a hostile thing that wanted to kill you, you'd be long dead anyway. I agree about removing all traces of an SE. Despite their overheat frenzy whenever they wear more than a lab coat (a sec armor vest must be removed and replaced every 20 mins or the unit will overheat), MP can host as many damn powers as they want and since they dont take damage over time that organic ones do, meaning you can pump one full of every power in the book to no ill effect. As for the lore sections, all of what is mentioned is already written or heavy implied. Overall machine people are broken and unplayable but with some time and love they could be a truly unique experience. If there is an issue with abuse, you could always up the KP cost.
