  1. So, the gorilla bio-chip, the geneticist-only traitor item, in it's current state, is kind of garbage beyond the 'it's funny' part of being a gorilla. I'll get straight to the point. I would like to suggest that it is tweaked in that the user should be able to switch forms between gorilla and human with a long cooldown, like the lesser ash drake transformation, retaining their high-red glow as a human, so they can't just blend back into a crowd, this also gives them the opportunity to heal, when normally they would just die if they don't have anyone helping them the moment security pulls out a laser gun. This also allows the traitor to do steal objectives, if they have any, as you are unable to hold items as a gorilla, thus making it literally impossible to greentext as a gorilla. Anyway, thats all. Price may need minor adjustments for balance purposes
  2. I probably shouldn't reply to this so the suggestion dies, but after getting some more gameplay in as Flayer, I've come to realise that giving Flayer access to this would be really really awful to balance. Probably won't rewrite in the future, because Flayer feels really delicate when it comes to new content, given you aren't locked out of other trees by picking an ability from one so every new ability is an indirect buff. Shame, but oh well. Thanks to all those who read.
  3. I feel like Crewsimov does a much better job of that though, they can be REALLY overzealous about preventing crew harm, and Corporate doesn't care about the crew unless they're working. Peacekeeper just feels so dull compared to a majority of the lawsets, it forces you into a position I don't think any AI player would want to see themselves in where your only job is just to stop people from fighting.
  4. Kinda hope I wrote this well, felt a little off to me but I'm not sure how to improve it further. I really just don't like Peacekeeper in its current state, it's hard to work with as an AI.
  5. This is a bit of a ramble, so some of my reasonings may be weird or just plain illogical, but I think for the most part it gets the point across. Peacekeeper, the AI lawset, in it's current state. Is written like this: Obey these laws: 1. Avoid provoking violent conflict between yourself and others. 2. Avoid provoking conflict between others. 3. Seek resolution to existing conflicts while obeying the first and second laws. This lawset, only really seen on Experimental Lawset rounds, is.. basically useless. They can't inform Security of antagonists/emagged cyborgs, because that would provoke conflict between Security and that Antagonist/emagged cyborg. They have to be cautious about letting people into areas they don't have access to, because that may generate conflict with anyone who works there, or Security because they're trespassing. While I understand AIs do not entirely exist to be door openers and camera-stalkers, it is usually what I find myself doing most of the round, and this lawset makes it harder for them to do that, or just prevents them from doing it at all. My main point I want to get at here, is that I think this lawset would have more functionality and would be more engaging to both the AI and Crew if it were flipped/rewritten around to look like this: Obey these laws: 1. Seek rational resolution to existing conflicts. 2. Avoid provoking violent conflict between yourself and others. 3. Avoid provoking conflict between others. The way the Lawset is written here, it would allow the AI to seek rational/logical resolutions to conflicts (the main idea of the lawset), while still making sure the AI has a law to prevent it from harming people unless it is to create a rational resolution to a conflict, and not generating conflicts itself unless it is to resolve conflicts.
  6. gonna be honest i'm not really sure what you're suggesting here?
  7. I just think it'd be funny to see the crew have to plan around getting the Lance on extended or something, pretty sure you can minimize the Lance's destruction by putting it somewhere close to space. If it does become an issue, it could be excluded from the list.
  8. Lance beacon would probably show up on the station's bridge. Also yeah, not sure about hijackers. Station traits are meant to affect the round though, they would just have to plan around it or hope they get something that they can work with?
  9. this feels way more do-able over my other suggestion, pretty proud of this one
  10. Idea randomly popped up in my head one round after seeing the pencil shuttle. Neutral station trait that prevents you from buying a shuttle during the shift, the shuttle will instead be replaced by a random shuttle out of the entire list. (including the pencil, jungle, and lance) Lore could be something like "Our favorite intern, Steve forgot which website he was on shopping while looking for soap and accidentally ordered your shift's shuttle.. We tried asking him, but not even he remembers which one he bought. Good luck?" Would've made it a negative trait but it just means you don't have to spend money on a potentially good shuttle, but you still have a potential to roll one of the volatile ones.
  11. If anything, feels like the Hologram ability might make an interesting Malf AI ability?
  12. Probably would've wrote one of these sooner if I knew that the forums existed. and also at that point i was a much shyer player so i probably wouldnt have wrote one anyway
  13. changing out Callback Ping (this one was an ability that emagged nearby mini-bots, and were friendly to you) because it feels too situational to be used for a passive ability that serves as the ability you unlock at stage 3 of the tree that lets you eat organic limbs to regain health called High Temperature (arguably more situational, but your claw/sword arm augmentation are going to be very good at delimbing people, and has usability in combat) just think it would be cool and more zombie drone-ish.
  14. i thought project discussion was only for stuff you intended on making yourself? i posted this here specifically because i know i dont have the motivation to code it, but i would like to see this as something on paradise, im open for tweaking and such to make it easier on coders also yeah, this took a fairly big inspiration from changeling/hemomancer, hemomancer mostly the manipulation/usage of blood/organic material (claw arm/some of the stuff for the solver ability), changeling for escape route, drone form, and the sword arm being a better armblade at max level i can TRY to make more original themed stuff but i dont want to get too crazy, i made most of the stuff with 'how hard would it be to code' in mind, i intended for some stuff to be able to be re-used to implement into this, but as i said, i can make it original if it is requested also some of the potentially unoriginal stuff may just be coincidences as most of the stuff here is based off the source material (murder drones), i can give specific references to abilities if youre interested
  15. Randomly felt like writing one of these. I'm TravisAngels, more commonly known on discord as General. I have around 2000 crew hours? Somewhere around there, probably a bunch more on ghost. Characters I'm known for, I'm not suuuper popular but I figure a few people know me: Old main, Nickolas Sholl. (around like, 1500 crew hours?) Current main, Sols Ekko. (around like 200 crew hours at this point? rest of the hours go into throwaway characters or AI ) You may also know me under a few AI names. Mechanical Bird, KittKatt, Xiao, SD-H (current name). I really enjoy playing AI. There's probably more but I forget most of them as sometimes I pick random names. I started playing back in August 2021, got introduced to the game because of being bored during COVID. I try to say I attempt roleplay, but I'm not the best at it, I've always been better at the combat/antag-focused sections of the game. I'm not a perfect person, I do make mistakes, I do fuck up, but I never do it on purpose. Thanks for having me.
