I can port meta if this is gonna become a thing, meta >>>>>> box
-
basically at the end of the round a vote comes up asking which map will be used next round also add meta to the mix
-
oh waw I'm dumb
-
they're catbeasts after all EDIT: also, he bites them, not enough to kill them, not even enough to break bones

I'm gonna guess this was a mesup when Artorp basically rewrote all my code, seems like this should be more on the bug reports section

I *MIGHT* do all of these cool ideas when PR #12 gets merged
-
This might not be a bad way of handling it, though the process will likely be irreversible, like snipping the tips off gloves. It won't make it un-usable by everyone else, but it will always show as "Prescription MediHUD" or such. can't be too hard to make it so attack_self() just splits them up again

Well I started a comp4 project a while ago (https://github.com/PJB3005/Paradise-fork/tree/COMP4) but I'm very good at starting stuff, then not finishing it, though I probably will continue this once my /vg/ port PR is merged

Nope didn't hit char limit. FIRST

Yay I "finished" it. Hello! So you want to code/map/sprite/etc... for the server! You've come to the right place. Our codebase is located here: https://github.com/ParadiseSS13/Paradise To get started with coding/mapping/spriting/etc-ing, you will need: * A github account, it's free. * Github for windows OR regular git, installation for these is gonna be down below. * enough free hard drive space to store a >850 MB (and growing!) repo. Well, let's get started then. Getting a git client, REQUIRED Using the git client you chose Now, now that you have that (I hope), you will need to learn how to use it, I know you're getting impatient to learn how to code & stuff, but you can't do anything with code/sprites/map changes if you don't know how to get it to the repo! Note: I'm by FAR not an expert with git, so be sure to criticise this, somebody had to make this guide sometime! On github, you will not be able to directly commit (the act of changing files, in any way) to the main repo (obviously), to do this, you will need to fork the repo: (No, not stabbing it) Forking the repo: If you are in the main repo's page, there will be a "Fork" button in the top right: . Press it, super intense forking action will happen, and you will have a fork of the repo. Cloning the repo (github for windows) Cloning the repo (Tortoisegit) Now you'll be set to code & upload changes, if you know how: Git, in a dirty nutshell: Actually coding: Spriting: Mapping:

if you want to code dwarf fortress combat, be my guest like this idea though

Yep, it's actually quite fun, they're supposed to be the part of R&D that makes&upgrades machines
-
huh, that's quite interesting, could be cool to have
-
Certainly not in safety.
-
Quick misunderstanding in the guide: the engineering APC is in no way required for the field to work, emitters take energy directly from the cables under them, so as long as there's power in the power network, the field should stay up
-
It really doesn't matter, at all, if you're not an idiot when setting up solars, you'll generate more than enough power for the station with them, the only advantage even MORE power over the needed amount has is that greytiders people who hack without gloves get shocked for more Okay then again i'm the kind of person who spends an entire round working on the SM for MOAR POWER on /vg/, if i'm MoMMI, so I really shouldn't be the one to say that Also the whole "lord singuloth masterrace" deal is just an entire bloody circlejerk
-
Why, I don't see the problem here
-
Erm, what would the $class var do? basically be like a datum in BYOND? If so, switch blocks?

Make mining less boring. Add monsters to mining asteroid

Take a GPS. Then hopefully telescience can bring you back I've played a lot of telescience back on /tg/, and i've only ever once saved a dead miner because of his GPS, you can say it's me not paying attention, but still, VERY LOW CHANCE P.S: that miner in question was a traitor, he was lying next to a goliath with an esword next to him, just handed the corpse and esword to sec and went to stealing things from the delerict again Ninja edit: for anybody wondering how I knew what the situation was like, don't recall correctly but it probably was the fact that I couldn't TP from the specific tile he was on, because offsets, and then I just went there to check with the QM -

I know how to fix this: mineral magnet like in goon, blam -
Why is this in the guides subforums Adding to the discussion: don't like holocomputers, doesn't stick to the "NT are cheapskates" theme of SS13 enough

Never thought it'd agree with you more
