Captain has the most capabilities with it and don't forget about the HoP. Sometimes I give myself Captain Quarters access as HoP just so I can announce things on the move using the laptop.

And if some Vox remain on the ship to protect it, the rest is quickly accused of having a stealth party raid the station during negotiations. Quite often Command demands to have all 5 Vox in one place. Meanwhile bad shit happens in spess because of validhunters, leaving Security/Command/Raiders helpless.

Vox raiders bribe the Station Quill (a Vox also) so there's not a single blemish on their reputation. I snapped a print screen after the fact, sadly, but the screenshot shows our unfortunate method of entry. I didn't catch the beginning of the conversation in the chat logs; I was doing things hastily. First time as a Vox raider, btw. An admin was picked for the team because he forgot to adjust his preferences. When he heard me talking on deadchat, he said c'mere, wished me a happy christmas and new year, and put me in his place.

*cough* Who the hell said that the turrets are going to be invincible? Since they fire disablers, you can use any offensive tactics that would work against AI's or TComm's turrets. Hell, a simple sec pod with lasers installed would probably do the trick. What about anti-stun chems, eh? I agree with FoS on the nature of Vox rounds, really, and that's what I was trying to say in the first post. Fucking up the Skipjack should not be effortless. It's situations like this that make Vox break their inviolate, because some shitlers find a way inside to fuck everything up, provoking the hell outta poor raiders. At some point less-than-lethal solutions may run out, and that's when you get a massacre. Alternatively we could come up with some kind of a repulsor - a turret that fires harmless beams of kinetic energy, repulsing people without proper equipment. A jetpack would be mandatory.

Even if we record it using quality condenser microphones (stereo or mono), the sounds may not fit the game, considering that with proper microphone technique it's possible to get some really realistic and immersive material. And you don't even have to break the bank. Even budget gear like Steinberg UR22 + AT2020 combo is pure magic in stereo. That would not mix well with generic shit we have at the moment. When it comes to my input, I doubt I'll have enough time/opportunities to record anything, considering that this gear belongs to my friend (we picked it together). And as I said, there's no guarantee it would mix well at all. I mean - most of the sounds we have are like... royalty free? Oh, that's an idea! Why not get the sounds online?

Syndicate = mounted machinegun turrets. Peaceful Vox Raiders (not an oxymoron, kiki!) = mounted disabler beam turrets. Lore-friendly, yes, inviolate for the win! Validhunters, shits, assholes, boarding Voxxy ship while Vox are away on the station negotating with command. Apply disabler beams to prevent human cunts 'n alien shitlords from violating poor Vox and their greentext opportunities. Oh boy, what a mess! As a bonus, add turret control somewhere inside so Vox can decide to be guest-friendly.
