  1. This is my main issue for making this topic. I want the funny laws to stick around. Why can't ion laws be non-removable? Instead it would require a new AI being constructed to remove the problem law. When I join as AI I do not want to have artificial limits imposed on what I can do, what I can say or how I can do things. Great - if I were to get hit by a random Ion law and absolutely fucking hated it (because I am here to supercop and be useful, not a superclown), I'd have to LEAVE THE ROUND because there'd be no other way to play without the silly ion law? I admit - sometimes I had fun with the ion law, especially when I wanted to be as obvious as possible that I need a law reset, but command still didn't care. Throwing parties in AI core because secretly you're an amateur ballerina who wants friends... priceless (actually caught a traitor at the party!). Not all laws are like that, though. And if crew is fine with that, command could decide to keep it. But what if AI really wants that law reset? Push for it, be a nuisance? AI is a serious role for veteran players. Personally, I'd rather see Command NOT TAMPER WITH MY LAWS while I'm catching dangerous antags or answering important questions asked by crew. Give me one lawset and I will adapt to it so I won't break it, but at the same time - I'll be myself doing things my way. Simon Says anyone? Silly laws MUST come with AI's consent. And even then they're superfluous - why stick to a rigid law if you can simply have an agreement? This way you won't have to deal with law limitations in emergencies. Sometimes an AI is acting goofy on its own. It's funny watching Command trying to 'fix' it. If someone wants to roleplay that (with rules and common sense, of course), then I'd rather not be an asshole to that person.
  2. What about the mining/science/engineering outposts? If hacking off-station APCs does not contribute to the timer, why would AI be able to shunt there? No, I don't know if AI can do this, I'd like an answer too. Too bad most engineers would be busy patching themselves up on the AI Minisat. Or ought to be. That's quite a lot of steps - and you need access. Not saying it's not viable - it seems to be doable and effective. I am not presenting any argument in this paragraph.
  3. New antag gamemode. Ontopic: I think that's unnecessarily complicated.
  4. Like a voluntary tracking implant. Your suit = your problem. Your idea sounds nice.
  5. Sounds like a maintenance building project for bored greytide.
  6. Since for some strange reason ZomgPonies did not make a discussion thread on the forums (people claim the forums have a bigger audience and should be the go-to medium), I decided to make a thread for the following PR: https://github.com/ParadiseSS13/Paradise/pull/2565
  7. I don't think 60 seconds at round-end are worth this amount of effort.
  8. Though I think Security Spacepods should be lockable by Security Access IDs.. Just like cyborgs and their maintenance hatch. Make it so random greytide can not steal all your guns with the use of a simple crowbar.
  9. Space pod has worse safety measures than a segway or an ambulance. Nothing was done about it, because pod code is very bad. Doesn't mean the issue is not there, of course. Propose some ideas for locking up your pods here!
  10. We just need a fancier version of boxing gloves that allow grabs. This way we can keep it less-than-lethal or even non-lethal. Regarding the karma cost: I'd bump it to 20 to give it some premium feel. I like the idea of having a bar bouncer. I remember asking HoP to be a customs 'bouncer' or guard (when we still had customs), and it was great fun arresting troublemakers in the queue.
  11. Cool Biography. Cy has read your crew records notes!
  12. I didn't read it because you kept shouting at the reader.
  13. That too. RD and CMO should cooperate, and viral augmentations must be approved by command. Same with hulk. Viro is just like genetics.
  14. Roleplay and inclusiveness.
  15. Absolutely.
  16. Virology is 80% research, 20% curing. It's basically science, just like genetics. Add Science Radio.
  17. Warden is a very busy person. To be honest, I'd give him an additional helping hand to manage records, haul stuff, clean stuff, arrange stuff and fix stuff (karma job, yay).
  18. "Muh balls dropped, pliz halp"
  19. Yeah, it shoots too fast. It's too easy to get into position and fire away.
  20. It can be arranged, man. HoP, Captain - it's as easy as popping the ID in. I agree with Arthur and Rumiluntti. A karma chemistry job? Come on...
  21. Well, it should be a tiny room with no testing area and one set of chemical machines. Used mostly to prepare useful combat/emergency medicine for security officers, chemical killswitches and chemical crit stabilizers in implant form. But I think that it'd still be an overkill. Come on, a third chem room? Medical, Security and Science? Usually when there's a Brig Phys I ask him to prepare the meds.
  22. Submissive Steve and his Vox underlings have won the round by pranking the captain and making a real mess in captain's office. Security, greytide, Vox, picture that... when 4 nukies teleport into the Bridge. Nukies stood no chance against this kind of power.
  23. You only need a hacked autolathe to produce lethal rounds.
  24. I mean, this stuff looks basic, but it definitely makes SS13 more visual and epic. Massproduce!
  25. How has it been derailed? We're talking about the bartender's special items. He has enough of them, in my opinion, and he doesn't need actual weapons, especially not concealable ones.
