Sprite replacement. Admins can upload temporary sprites, and ad-hoc them onto existing mobs/items.

If you don't feel like being an antag, ahelp it and give it up. If you don't feel like playing antag in general, there's preferences for that (which are disabled initially, to boot)
-
Huh. If this goes through, I might actually play as a slime.
-
Basically the idea behind this is that if you're an antag and haven't spent any of your TC (maybe because you missed the message) you get pinged with a reminder that yes, you are an antag 30 minutes in (and subsequently every other 30 minutes that you haven't spent any TC). There's a fair amount of traitor rounds where 2-4 of the traitors have accomplished 0 objectives, and have spent 0 TC (Likely because they're not aware they're tators). This would hopefully help alleviate this, and get antags back on task.

Can we not get the lore thread locked, please?

Should unclonable species' NO_SCAN be enforced?
Shadeykins replied to Crazylemon's topic in Suggestions
If the latter part of what you just said is true, your change does absolutely nothing. They are already not cloneable, and you need to brain transplant. -
Should chemistry machinery be unviewable by ghosts?
Shadeykins replied to Crazylemon's topic in Suggestions
I was more referring to gibsmoke grenades, but if it has the blessing of the badmins I'd actually be ok with making a guide regarding recipes like it. Make a guide to sci chem that has these recipes. I actively encourage it, actually. I'd much rather do that than have people watch me as a ghost. I actually think I will, but it may take a while as a few of my recipes are outdated though.I also see you're a wiki contributor. I have no right to ask you to do this but as a favor could you add Teslium to the Chem wiki? I'm currently on mobile/am unsure how to make it look pretty on the Chem wiki page I don't even know what Teslium is, probably because it's not on the wiki and nobody shares anything secret. -

No no. LUDACRIS "MOVE BITCH, GET OUT DA WAY, GET OUT DA WAY BITCH, GET OUT DA WAAAAY" We also need to make a SWAG Mech, like the HONK Mech except with 50% more bling and dank rhymes.

This is a suggestion for janitors (especially if it's Jonah Bright) to attach loudspeakers to the Janicart. Specifically whenever the cart is in motion, these loudspeakers will play a song (compressed to an .ogg format, of course).

Research can be brought very close to being maxed (and for all intents and purposes for what the parts do, may as well count as being maxed) without any help from mining.

Alternatively, you just need genetics access and a circular saw. Chop the heads off, and switch them around. This is generally my go-to method when there's a great deal of uncloneable body pileup, and I have the initial corpse handy. -

Not to sound mean, but this comes across as "I only want to share certain recipes/interesting tidbits with people I feel like, rather than the entire community so x group of people is privileged/has a concrete advantage." You learned how chemistry works from the wiki (or learned from someone else, who showed you), in turn you should put back in to that very same system instead of hoarding "top sekret" chem mixes. Otherwise, if we're going to allow this sort of behaviour we should just remove the wiki altogether so the sanctity of everyone's hard work is not sullied. If someone's locked the time constraints for a job, they've been around long enough that they should act appropriately when performing that job, there's really no baldy/deathchem argument here (most deathchemmers/sekret chem users aren't baldies anyhow, they're players who've been here forever). -

As someone who can recite recipes backwards and forwards for pretty much any formula, and drain two dispensers in about 10-15 minutes flat I'm thoroughly against changing this. The fact that there's any amount of secrecy about any mechanic is ludicrous in the first place. As an example (and as an incredibly useful tactic) I didn't realize you could even screwdriver false walls into full walls until recently, and I've been here for over a year. It's not documented anywhere and nobody seems to know about this, and I'm only aware because I was lucky enough to witness a player doing it (who's the only other person who knows about it, to my knowledge). The "top-secret knockout mixes" are generally just a mixture of Capulettium Plus and Ether/Morphine (Hydrocone/Ephedrine also works great for stunning people/making them unable to properly react), by the by. Capulettium Plus also takes a considerable amount of time to make unless you're aware that setting a chemical heater to 1000k heats things faster because it requires a Capulettium component, which needs a Neurotoxin component, which requires space drugs. A lot of taters actually skip this step and hack a Med+ vendor, because it'll dispense Pancuronium. There is no point to having a wiki/guides if we're going to have super sekrit formulas, and allowing ghosts to view chem dispensers harms nothing/nobody. If anything it'll hopefully draw attention to particularly annoying mixes which may prompt coders to make them inert (causing them to turn into an inert compound would be great, I'm looking at you, annoying bomb-sound sprays). Baldies never get the opportunity to make hellmixes, chemists get rightfully fired for doing that stuff in medchem, and scientists generally kill themselves in the making of or utilization of hellmixes. I fail to see the issue. -

Vox/Slime People get stuffed in the morgue so often as it is that I really don't see the need to enforce No Scan. Unless Vox/Slime People see some sort of respective buff in return for being absolutely non-cloneable, I don't see the point. They already lose all their special abilities when cloned. -
EVA suits have the advantage of being EVA proof, whilst not debilitating your movement like hardsuits do.

Poor Jonah. I'm also going to think Garoon is unbearably sexy from now on too. Damnit.

I'm against a nerf to the emergency oxygen tanks primarily because it has a direct knock-on effect on both ERTs (who are given pocket tanks for good reason) and Nukies (who are also given pocket tanks for good reason). I can't imagine it'd be too fun to have all the nuke-ops run out of oxygen from their internals and suffocate, or force them to use up an exosuit slot for a full oxygen tank - much the same goes to an ERT that arrives at a largely depressurized station.
-
Quite a lot of things use your ID, and as your ID has all your information (including DNA and fingerprints) I don't really see the issue with being able to pull information off of it. In fact, if anything that's great news for both taters looking to stealthily swap identities and people who've had their bodies destroyed. EDIT: I'm also in favour of face changing surgery, and sex change surgery for the same reasons. (Swapping identities).

I don't even play science regularly, and provided mining is quick with their first shipment I can get the cloners upgraded to maximun in the first 10-12 minutes of the shift. This is another hit to traitors that makes it hilariously simple to revive a person, if you've got an assassinate objective taking the head and tucking it away somewhere/disposing of just the body is a solid way to make sure people won't clone your target (thus making you fail your objective). I'd expect to see a lot more chainsaws, gibbing, and C4 being planted on brains if this went through. It also, as Fox says trivializes surgery - cloning is already the backbone of medical and every doctor's one-stop-shop for everything. More than a few people have been intentionally killed/left to die simply because cloning them would be easier, and I'm sure some of those people are posters in the thread (no small amount of doctors already won't even defib someone if they've got more than one or two broken bones because "cloning is faster").

Make more tator implants show up on body scanner
Shadeykins replied to FlattestGuitar's topic in Suggestions
I'm still wholly against having traitor implants show up - security should never have any reason to believe you've got an implant unless they've found an implanter with your prints (in which case it warrants removal and checking isn't really required) or unless you're using it in plain view. This just allows for traitor checking.
