  1. And people said it wasn't ever used to traitor check... To be fair I think it was the PR that made people start this. I can verify that in my entire playtime in medical (and I've logged a considerable amount of hours over the course of a year) I've only ever had 5-6 people checked in the adv scanners for implants, and it was when there was high suspicion the person was mindslaved.
  2. You will continue taking oxyloss from lung damage beyond 10-15 points until you die. Perfluo is a chem you give someone who's about to die from ruptured lungs (which isn't blood loss) prior to providing either mitocholide or surgery. >80% of people will have lungs that are ruptured to this degree, as most people rupture their lungs from chest injuries or breathing through empty internals (both of which cause lung damage to fatal degrees very quickly).
  3. Specifically this is in question to handing out genetic powers, where the RD says yes and the CMO says no. But I digress.
  4. This is in reference to an instance where the Captain does not care, the RD says yes, and the CMO says no. The RD would pull more weight in a shared departmental setting without higher-level intervention going by command succession. This isn't about the RD commanding medbay (even the Captain doesn't do that, that's the CMO's job) as it is about genetics (a shared department).
  5. Actually completely missed this. Will work on something when I get home later. I believe in the standard chain of command, the CMO is the lowest and therefore would be overruled by the RD, at least if memory serves. Captain -> HoP -> HoS -> RD -> CE -> CMO. It'd therefore make sense for the RD to override the CMO. I might be wrong, as the lines get a little blurry in my mind after you have no HoS, HoP or Captain.
  6. Did you even read the thread, earthdivine gave a perfectly fine example where this stuff is usefull. If people are abusing this feature like you say then ahelp it. Did you even read my post? I clarified what the argument was for it's removal and why people are complaining, I didn't provide one nor am I in favour of removing/keeping the feature (it really doesn't matter if it stays or goes IMHO). I have seen it used all of once, ever, period. Fullstop. Eight months ago, to boot. There is nothing to ahelp here, I don't even think most people realize this is a thing (I in fact forgot it was until this thread popped up, and even then I needed a nudge for a reminder).
  7. pAIs as it stands are a traitors worst nightmare. Something to counter them would be great. Actually! pAI's use an in-built Station Bounced Radio for communication whenever they talk over comms. If this theoretical items squelched radios in general, it'd by proxy do it to pAI's too, they'd only be able to scream locally and not over the radios or anything. Yup. That's what I meant sorta, having this counter them would be great.
  8. * Revised and appended FlattestGuitar's Vulpkanin lore writeup (presently pending approval). Work in progress. * Appended Nanotrasen, Syndicate, and Competing Corporations pages to cross-link each other for ease of access. * Proofread security items page and made some minor grammatical changes, typo fixes, and formatting changes. Work in progress. * Edited Civilian job guide, removed redundancies/references to removed content, added flavour, linked some helpful guides on the page. * Moved "Race Mechanics" section on IPC page to the top for parity with other racial pages.
  9. I'll take a poke at it once I'm off work, and probably section it out into equipment subtypes. (Armour, Weapons, Equipment, etc)
  10. Fair enough. I'm biased as I hate genetics with a fiery passion (Jacob Ryals is a pretty cool guy though). Honestly the present mapping setup is not conducive to geneticists even noticing bodies stacking up, to be fair.
  11. pAIs as it stands are a traitors worst nightmare. Something to counter them would be great.
  12. Just consume someone as a changeling Vulpkanin and transform into them. Then you can have all the tail you like.
  13. I think the argument here Tiger is that the option to do so literally provides no function in any sense whatsoever aside from letting people who tick the disability fat (who by all means are not playing seriously and are probably there to stir the pot/greytide) have an extra method of needlessly screwing with people. If it's as simple as fat people being classed as being able to eat people along with a variety of other things, then it should be incredibly simple to just comment it out. I personally don't care either way (I've seen it used all of once consistently by someone who's headbanned), but that's what the argument is.
  14. >40 unit patches too would be amazing.
  15. Just fucking remove the ability to eat people! ...You can eat people if you're fa- OOOOOOH. Yeah, I think this was used one time by a fat Captain who'd challenge people to brawls, and then ate them. Now I know what this is on about - and yes it's mostly a silly thing that doesn't add much and typically detracts from the seriousness of the server. (mind you, so does selecting having seizures as a disability).
  16. As a note, seeing as geneticists never have, and never will actually see to the cloning of people (I saw a geneticist clone someone all of one time, ever) the cloning section in the wiki has been entirely separated from the genetics page and is now under Guide to Cadavers.
  17. What is this even going on about, even?
  18. i assumed gamma was for something that will guarantee stations destruction/station genocide and code black is something that would kill most of the crew but a few crew members would be able to escape via shuttle Gamma is what's called when there's a serious threat to the station, it's the code directly prior to authorization to use the nuclear device (Delta). It unlocks the gamma armoury with the RPG's and LWAP's for usage. Epsilon is even worse, and is used to terminate all contracts (deafsquid).
  19. Maybe my confusion derives from the fact that the Head of Personnel is the departmental head of both of those.
  20. this legit hurts my brain to look at but i'll probably do this in a few days, i haven't been doing my job of porting cute things lately Change the blue caps to orange, maybe? Assuming the issue is with color.
  21. Supply department also encompasses hydroponics, the kitchen, bar, library, chapel, mine and clown.
  22. Plasmamen can be cloned unless someone stealthily nerfed them. It's just that without a suit you're confined to... places. Personally, I like short rounds. I don't want votings. It's a nice change of pace. In case of a nukie/blob round, I would probably call the shuttle anyway. Even when it is one of the more secret gamemodes, people will still yell at command to call the shuttle when shit gets real. It's usually 10-15 minutes of licking wounds and fixing most severe breaches and then you call the shuttle to wrap it up. Oh dear. http://nanotrasen.se/wiki/index.php/Guide_to_Cadavers You can clone all of these, they even have a special section in the guide. I suppose to upside to a short round is another chance to roll antag.
  23. ran ran nuuuuuuu Clowns are already bad enough.
  24. The round isn't actually over when nuke-ops show up or all die. This is a case of command going "oh, the nuke-ops are all dead. Oh well, let's evacuate anyways."
