Same shorthand I guess! I can't find any lore for it on their wiki beyond a law document.

Wait what? SolGov isn't a Bay thing. The have the Sol Central Government or SGC. Ours is based out of something called the Trans-Solar Federation (TSF) which is shorthanded to SolGov.

Have the God Hand be able to light cigarettes.
Shadeykins replied to AVagrant's topic in Suggestions
Cigarettes are already lightable by eswords, welders, flaming corpses, zippos, lighters, matches, and probably a few others I'm missing. I don't see the issue with adding a few more fun sources of cigarette lighting. -
Cucumber! Not at all, no. I suggest pestering @Purpose2, he can probably show you how to make your cucumber dreams a reality.

As I recall there's currently a call out by Tully to update the contraband page with all the existing syndicate contraband.

Pretty easy to shake people up, though, and rest has a cooldown time.

Make it apply only to someone who is being pulled whilst on the ground. That way dead bodies are hard to move, whilst the handcuffed person is forced to shuffle along.

I would be all for a faint humming sound as borgs move around.

Fiber Garrote Wire fixing suggestion
Shadeykins replied to bigfatbananacyclops's topic in Suggestions
AFAIK it's a bug in its implementation. The garotte wire is supposed to automatically go to the kill strangle and be unresistable if someone catches you with it from behind. It shouldn't make a noise to other players, either. The downside to a silent kill weapon such as it is the time it takes to actually strangle someone to death, and the proximity you have to be in to use it. -
Au contraire, I think the table at the bottom is actually a nice touch for looking through content that once was but no longer is.

Oh hey, there you are. I was trying to find you on the discord, I assume you haven't made an account there yet. Just a heads up about the Category:Archived you created, it's a duplicate of an already existing category called Category:Obsolete Content. The {{Obsolete}} template call automatically adds pages to that category, which I imagine is what got you confused (since you can't see the [[Category:]] call at the bottom of the page). Thanks for your wiki contributions!

In this instance the optical sensor is genuinely removed - so this makes sense. I assume the flash only checks for valid face protection, and doesn't look to see if someone actually has a vision organ.

Bay lore != Paradise lore. If you read the rest of Baylore, Vox are basically fantastical magic bird men - there's a reason that section was removed.

Just make them 'flippable' like the welding goggles.
-
If your head isn't attached to your body, you're dead and therefore can't be flashed anyways so I'm not sure what this thread is about. Blind people, unless in rare circumstances, can still be disoriented by blinding/bright light because the optic nerve is still intact (despite not functioning adequately). The number of blind people who can see absolutely nothing is the minority in the blind/deaf community. Flashes are also blocked by any form of sunglasses (sans the cheap ones) or welding protection (which includes every hardsuit and syndicate spacesuit).

I like a lot of the ideas here. Alternatively if none of them get passed, a definite option to make the area more secure would be to go in the map and line the surrounding area with reinforced walls. Have a limited number of rocks you can mine in a confined area, so to speak - it would be more like a traditional rock-breaking yard than a mine in that sense. We also have "Secure Airlocks" that can be utilized to make it harder for random passerby's to just break on in.

You're bothering the wrong department is the big thing, here. If you want supercooled O2, the atmospherics department's default setup allows for cooling O2 and it takes all of maybe five minutes.

"Primalis talons are often cited as being unusually hard, and are often equated with having twice the strength of human bone. While not entirely true, the hardness of the skin on their upper arms and lower legs (along with their talons and the rest of their body) is often attributed to being one of the primary factors in both the survivability and pressure resistance in Primalis Vox." https://nanotrasen.se/wiki/index.php/Vox#Vox_Physiology Basically they're overly leathery raptor/bird things.

Not in favour of this, especially not having the AI have the power to remotely terminate people's ID cards. You should at the very least have the person's ID card in your possession prior to firing them.
-
Borers have always been in a grey area. If you make them have actual antagonist objectives, you should also come up with some procedure revolving around them. Far too many people think borers are cool and actively impede people from destroying them despite borers taking over people, dumping 100u of meth in them, and killing them on a regular basis - or using their host to murder/steal/cause havoc on station. tl;dr if Borers get objectives, there needs to be a clause in SOP or Space Law stating that they're illegal to posses - giving MD's the cover they need to sedate and drag unwilling hosts to surgery.

The matter processors in the unit needs time to recharge. Think of it like a Keurig (those pod-coffee machines) with a pump that slowly refills the tank on the side containing the water needed to make coffee.
-
Oh yeah, just went through this and updated it when I implemented the Template:glossarytable call. We're all good.
-
I'd have to verify if that's the case (no respawn allowed still allows maint drone selection) but from memory that's current implementation and is usually one of the arguments put forward against emagging drones (allowing people with no respawn to have a chance at antag).
-
It could be neat for a certain roundtype event.

Doing someone else's job is not interaction. Leaving things for a person is. If you can drag plasteel out of space to bring it somewhere safe for engineers, then you can drag literally anything anywhere to leave it "somewhere safe" for other people. Surgical tools spaced? Can bring those back and leave them somewhere safe for MD's. AI integrity restorer boards spaced? Can bring those back and leave them somewhere safe. You shouldn't be doing helpful little favours for people as a drone, irrespective of how well-intentioned they are. Drones should be fixing station damage/improving station infrastructure, they shouldn't be working in concert with anyone to any degree (which leaving materials for people/dragging materials to places for pickup definitely is). @Agent_Che Borgs aren't always available and IIRC, maint drones can be picked by people who are ineligible for antag selection/respawn.
