  1. Name: Mitsa Age: No discernible age can be presented to the public. See Medical and Security records for more detail. Gender: Male Race: Grey Blood Type: AB+ General Occupational Role(s): NanoTrasen Recruiter, Biomechanical Engineer Biography: A stuffy alien whose Hive-Fleet made its presence known within Epsilon Eridani, Mitsa doesn't seems to have much of a childhood, nor many relations with any other Greys in his Hive-Fleet. Seems to be your standard, bureaucratic, cloned alien. Qualifications: Skilled in Business Administration Standard Firearms Training Knowledge of Robotics & Biomechanics Human Resouces Experience Employment Records: Secretary for the NAS Trurl. Appointed Human Resources Officer. Appointed to the NCS Cyberiad. Security Records: Allegedly synthesized by his Hive-Fleet, the Grand Spectra, memories and all. This creation was supposedly an effort made by each vessel making up the Grand Spectra to produce a work-ready individual. While cloning is no surprise for Greys, of particular interest is the seeming fact that Mitsa possesses knowledge and skills that the Hive-Fleet did not possess the facilities to teach. Genetic memory appears to have been implanted, while Mitsa retains no knowledge of events preceding 2554. Medical Records: According to analysis, Mitsa's body shows signs indicating he is 70 years of age. However, he was cloned, making his actual years lived at 3. Personnel Photo (Appearance text): A medium-height Grey, at 5'7". His mouth is small and curled, with a triangular, larger upper lip, and average, black eyes for his race. Tattooed on his forehead is a very detailed star with four shining points. Commendations [only to be added by admin]: Reprimands [only to be added by admin]: Other Notes:
  2. Don't know what you mean. I've fought just fine before.
  3. I never really considered fighting to be their strong point. That, and I don't think they take damage more than any other race. (Minus the Kidan.) I just saw them as having wimpy punches and not much else. Telekinesis might be asking too much. I don't know how this server's version of Telekinesis works, if any differently at all, but it's pretty useless for combat from what I've seen on other servers. It would require yet another changing in order to be useable for combat, which I frankly see as too much work for a race that can already robust just fine as long as they have a weapon.
  4. They would. The telepathy would work on the same wavelengths that positronic brain signals possess. Or something. fuk i dont gotta explain it dat's just how it works okay EDIT: Wait, do Machine People have posibrains? Because on Bay, they're called IPCs and they do. Soooooo, confusing. Either way, let's just bloody say they can hear the telepathic messages, because really who cares?
  5. Yep, that makes sense. So yeah, they could hear it if they were within range.
  6. While I enjoy playing as a Grey, I find their telepathic ability to be quite lackluster, and even a nuisance to use, as it's difficult for people to see the message you sent, meaning people sometimes miss it entirely, only allows you to speak to one person, and it takes a long time to find the character you're trying to send a message in the Project Mind list. It's a very useless and aesthetic skill that attracted me into purchasing the race in the first place, but left me sorely disappointed. What I wish for is for Greys to have their own seperate telepathic ability, unique from the Genetics variance and undiscoverable by research, thus making Greys an actually worthwhile race. My idea is to split the Grey's telepathy into three different verbs, each with varying function. All of them would only extend to people that are within the player's vision, essentially working like the Say verb, but also hearable by people with the deaf disability. The three abilities are as follows: 1. Project Mind Onto Room Pretty standard. This will project a mental message onto all character's within the player's vision range, and cannot be heard by radios. Cyborgs and other robots can hear it due to possessing a brain, but the AI cannot. (I'm fairly certain the AI lacks any type of brain, organic or positronic. If I'm wrong, then it could hear the telepathic message if its core is within the Grey's vision range, but not if merely examining the Grey through cameras, nor whilst using a hologram.) 2. Project Mind The standard verb that Greys currently possess. It would work almost the same, sending a message to a single character, with the exception that the list would only display characters within the player's vision range, thus making the list shorter and easier to scroll through, as well as preventing rounds being ruined by finding antagonists on the name list, or calling for help when paralyzed by an antag. 3. Project Mind to Greys Works the same as number one, but instead only sends the message to other Greys. This would be sort of giving them a language, without ACTUALLY having a language, but giving a medium through which they can privately communicate. This would ultimately make Greys more interesting, making them sort of a "secret, creepy" race, while still making telepathic communication easier, as well as providing a better advantage over what they currently have, thus balancing their weaknesses better. (Water KILLS THEM, for pete's sake. Of course they need a better advantage.) I also propose a changing of color to the telepathic message text, as its current blue color is a pain in the ass to pick out of the chatlog for some people. Light green could be a potential color. Another person recommended changing it to purple, which I agree with wholeheartedly. It's just a very Grey-ish color. I'd also recommend a bumping up of the message text size so people can notice it easier. Any comments on this? Criticisms are welcome.
  7. I'm not actually a new player, by the way. I've been playing for a couple of months here, and I just haven't taken the time to make a quick Introduction post until now. Hence the title. Anyway, I guess that is a bit of a trend with my characters. Which is weird.
  8. Greys: I play them all the time, and they only have one form of telepathy as far as I can tell; the one that only goes to one single person. Unless this is a recent addition, in which case I'll have to check. But probably not. EDIT: No, they definitely only have one telepathy. And sulphuric acid immunity is currently not working, by the way.
  9. I enjoy medium-RP, which is what drew me to Paradise Station. I play here almost every day. Characters I play: Charles Cranberry: The station fatass that everyone loves to hate. Can often be found in the Bar eating Pun Pun. Will probably eat you, too, if you ask him to. This character is generally when I'm in more of a mood for humor than RP. Ibrahim Ajam: My Tajaran character. Grew up alone with his parents on one of the tallest, coldest mountains on Ahdomai. Often plays a Hydroponicist. Laila Rosha: My Unathi character. Despises all other races, particularly humans, but usually keeps it to herself. Larnook: My Grey character. Often works as a Nurse. Has terrible English. Places Greys above humans, but he's more subtle about it. Xak: My other Grey character. Has a deep-seated hatred for humans that he generally isn't afraid to show. Works various odd jobs. Has much better English.
  10. But surely it could be coded in that Greys' telepathy and Genetics telepathy were two different things. But anyway, it doesn't matter because I've changed my mind about it.
  11. But I was thinking that it would ONLY change the Grey's telepathy, and not the one earned by Genetics research. Anyway, after some thinking, I've retracted the telepathy change. But the fix for sulphuric acid damage is still needed.
  12. Here are some things I'd like changed (and fixed) to the race known as the Greys. First, I would like the Grey's telepathy to be nerfed. While going "boo" to some guy all the way on the other side of the station is fun and all, it simply has overpowered uses. What I mean by this is that antags that have abilities/items to stun/prevent characters from talking can end up being screwed by this. And I DID screw over a Cultist using telepathy, once; he used a talisman on me and I called for help to a completely random person, and that one person just HAPPENED to be the Head of Security. You can probably tell what happens next. So what I was thinking was that the Grey's telepathy was nerfed so that you could only use it on people that are within your vicinity. Like a fireball for a Wizard, or neurotoxin for Xenomorphs. That way you could freak people the hell out without being game-ruining. Second, I noticed that the wiki says that Greys are supposed to be immune to sulphuric acid. Well, I tested that by going Chemist one round, and splashing acid on myself, and it did damage me. So I would like this to be fixed.
  13. To be fair, the definition of a Butcher is someone who cuts up and sells meat, not someone who works in a kitchen and cooks food. Yet it's an alternate Chef title regardless.
  14. Pretty self-explanitory. I know that Hydroponics isn't actually a farm, but if a Chemist can call themselves a Drug Dealer, I don't see why you can't be a Farmer.
