i say add it to borer to give a tiny bit more insentive to not instantly go get it ripped out, and perhaps a low chance from something else

or even hide an egg of one on the asteroid or something and when a stupid miner gets to close it pops out and ends up in its ear, and then it is the only one that can make more borers, like only the xeno queen can make eggs for facehuggers. After the borer ends up in its ear then it forces a character who has the options selected into the corticular borer alpha. Oh and on the subject of that I think that it should be an alpha whos goal is to survive AND reproduce, and the cooldown between creating more borers is say.... 400 seconds?

I always thought one of the reasons there rare is because of the fact they duplicate faster then rabbits so I thought a good fix would make a long reload time for making another, and also making it so only the original can do it. maybe that could make them more likely to spawn?

I see that message all the time, but I never see corticular borers, I think in total ive seen 4 rounds with them.

xeno is a random event? I always assume whenever a xeno round happens its because of the admining

I think the borer should have a random event chance sort of like the revenant when it comes to being spawned, however I also think the ability to create more borers should be removed as it means in a short period of time everyone is a borer, and if not removed I think it should have an extremely long reload rate, and only the original borer can make more. this is so that the entire ghost population doesn't empty, and there is less of a chance of them being discovered. just some random thoughts since I love borers and I think they have amazing potential.

i had a positive experience as a cultist when I was trapped in the afterlife for about 10 minutes, and I even got to make a plan with them to summon nar nar, I think it depends on the player, it should be quite a bit of karma though, maybe the same amount as a vox? most terrible players don't get karma often.

I like this idea partially because of how it reminds me of an idea I posted, but improved, but my question is, what would be the perks of haunting a humanoid? besides watching them move around and most likely get killed in maint.

basicly, I was a dionae, a cultist aswell, after using all of my tomes getting an arcane book and attempting to organize my cult, I managed to discover the astral projection rune, so I went to scout. when I finished scouting I decided it would be best to return before I was killed, however I didn't realize that my cult had cleaned up the runes and left me there. After managing to make them realize what theyd done we set up near the ai satellite transfer room thing. While there I scouted again, meeting the SPIRIT OF THE DEAD, a friendly spirit who claimed to be a reaper, he then proceeded to tell me what I needed to know, and warned me of something stupid my cult was doing. the rest of my cult was rather new at the business I think, so I managed to stop them, then they did it again, this time I manifested the spirit of the dead to yel at them, and it gave me an idea I wanted to see how many I could manifest, turns out I could manifest all of them without dying instantly, so I set a plan in motion in which we summoned the great true god into this world, which took the crew completely by surprise, and we killed nearly everyone. ps. sorry if this is typed quickly, this is my first story recount and ive never been to good at things like that

perhaps the stronger you become the spell upgrades, and you can manifest for longer I want to manifest as a ghost while piloting me white ship

also for ignoring the ghost, perhaps the ghost will stun the person they scare for a short time, and that's how they gain more power, by stunning/scaring the person? it would of course have a cooldown so that you cant just perma stun someone, and its enough time for the person to get up and leave the room.

you would haunt rooms not players, and also if you haunted the interrogation room it would take you some time to gather enough power to point at the murderer, since as I said you need to gain powers by scaring those who walk through

(to start this idea Is still under much thought by myself as I am trying to find a way to make it seem hard to pull off but still fun, as to make it something a person would do if they have no other choice and hate being pets or drones like I do) Now that that's out of the way, the idea is at the moment the ability to haunt an area, this would cost you your chance of being cloned or your hope of being respawned, and it would bind you to the room you choose, doing this would give you a small physical influence in the room at first, and the ability to unlock powers as you haunt the area, but in order for haunting to work, there must be a person in there to scare, this would mean that you wouldn't just hide in maintanence and gain power while not worrying about the chaplain, who would be able to banish the ghost, giving a 20 minute cool down to haunt another room. As you gain in power you will gain abilities, such as an ability to manifest yourself so others can see you, but you are only able to use emotes like *me or something, no speaking, which is to attempt to prevent someone from just saying so and so is the murderer. another ability would cause the doors in the room to open and shut a few times, which can be used to a small extent later on. ( I haven't thought of many other powers so im going to skip to the last one) the final power would be the ability to possess something, if you possess a dead humanoid then you will become a sort of zombie version of the person, and you will walk slowly, be unable to talk, and any damage taken cannot be fixed, however you will not suffer from being unconscious ( perhaps you will be bound to the body so if you lose all your limbs you are trapped in the body or something, this is something I just thought of but it may be a bit to much since you cant respawn anyway, and that costs your observe privilege) if there is not a body you can use an object in the room and you force it into a humanoid shape sort of like a golem, except your strength veries on what you posess, and you cannot posses things such as vending machines or toliets, MAYBE tables, and chairs, and if you do not have a human body to posess, you must gather a few of the materials to make a form, a part for each part of the body, one chair = an arm, another = the chest, and so forth.

i like the idea of ghost possession, but I think that the ghost would have to haunt a room, and if the chaplain does nothing about it your influence on that room grows until you can do a few things, two that come to mind is a physical manifestation, that cannot talk but can use emotes like me and stuff, and the other is possession, which has a very hard time talking and can only say singular words, and should have a rule prohibiting them from saying who killed them to stop metagaming, the possession should cost them the room, and would only work on moveable things, preferable a dead corpse or an inactive robot, which should have all access, but be unable to pick items up nor use electricle abilities, but this is about the chaplain so im just gonna say im all for rituals doing something without adminime intervention, (like when I sacrafised my right arm to revive ian) but how it would work is beyond me currently. EDIT: I also think the haunting a room should have a cooldown of 20 minutes, and cost something, like your respawn chances, since your so commited to being a ghostie, should I make a full topic on this?

I agree, if I want to have the ai invade my privacy, I should have the right to! because honestly, what is better then having the ai watching you get murderered, and if you didn't add the camera, then I guess you gon live in that hole for eternity

my only problem with that is the fact you can get brain damage with cannot be fixed, I think you should be able to take the ipc's brain out of its head, fix it with cableing and welder, and then shove it back into its body, since its a robot, not a human

this form topic made me try that game, and I have yet to live past day one, and I would love if cybernetic implants were added aswell, maybe an upgrade to robotics? so they just don't build a mech, and they actually have something to do to upgrade themselves
