Loading said number-names if saved to SQL is still busted, however, in the exact same manner that that one PR you linked that got merged in September fixed. I've a PR up that fixes the SQL bit now, and I'm documenting it here just in case people see it on the GitHub and get curious

I think the least snowflakey way to handle this would be to add such features to a handle_drunk proc on the species datums or something.

I'm almost certain if I made the PR for that I'd get shot down without much thought. It's just one of those things... Keep that in mind.

I'd say it's up for interpretation. Something I don't believe anyone's mentioned in this thread: Why not just configure code-word highlighting with the functionality we got with Goon-chat? Click the cog, configure the words you want highlighted. That'll do what you're all looking for, no PR merge required. I'm going to admit that I don't use the Goon-chat string highlighting feature nearly enough (if at all) and when I do, I'm certain I don't realize its potential. But there is potential! You just have to configure it.

It won't hint at a law change but it will directly violate the part of the law that states you must "...NOT COMMUNICATE WITH ANYONE OR ANYTHING." But that's the fallacy of long intricately worded laws: Despite how specific they can be, the increase in content means there's an increase in the amount of parts that can slip by a person skimming over it.

Found a really dank meme in maint one time. A dude managed to score the syndi pistol, mag and suppressor, so they put it together, loaded the gun and left it on a table illuminated by the black desk lamp along with a zippo, burnt cigar and an ash tray with a wooden chair off to the side. There was a note left in red crayon that said 'Kill you're self' and beneath it in the clown's comic sans read 'Your* :^)' with the honk stamp. I checked in later and found that a baldy in a blue uniform had suicided with the pistol and there was a line added to the note saying 'fuck yall'. Good times. Pointless diatribe aside, I think it'd be interesting to see the randomized structures/encounters implemented in the station maintenance. I'm pretty certain the framework for it's already there.

I went through a few characters and I honestly don't even remember the names anymore it's been so long (I think one of the dudes I played was Benjamin Miller the recon, memory's hella fuzzy), but I played there from start to finish and through all the revivals. Amazing time, been missing it bad ever since it went down for the last time. I think it's been at LEAST a couple (or more) years since I heard anyone mention the name of that community. Been through just about every SSTRP server that's come down the pike though, and it was totally worth. By chance, do you remember... "THE LAW"? EDIT 2017-02-22: I remember playing a guy named Benjamin Miller for the most part (Pvt, Pfc, SPC, Cpl I think) from Recon. I wish I could remember more, I loved playing there so much.

Good shit man, I played the hell out of GMod SSTRP till I drifted off to other stuff. Super cool to hear you were a part of that scene too! I miss it all to be honest, haha. It was really kicking back in GM10-12. I love the bits with Jenkins and the Ascendant, super cool designs they've got and I dig the dynamic going on haha

@everyone in this thread Just sprite coloured shirts and add them as accessories (like the waistcoat) so you can wear the pants like a uniform and attach whatever coloured shirt you want, accomplishing exactly what you're all babbling on about with the least possible amount of changes.

Wow, God damn! IDE and RABBIT look absolutely wicked. Happy birthday LBK! Wow. Both characters got a few Ward-Takahashi parts? I think RABBIT looks awesome with the head pictured. I've never been a big fan of the monitors, so my opinion's got bias, but the design just looks so good.

I've had some great RP with a few really good Psych players. I think it's best left as its own job.
