Update Changelog Regarding Chaplain Changes

This might get better visibility posted in the git -
There's a threat analysis to be done. If the nukies think the pod would be a threat, they have means to counter it. It's up to them to decide to ignore it or circumvent it. They can even bypass the entire problem by teleporting into the bridge, like many have done before. Same thing applies on the other end, if security knows or suspects the nukies have a borg/mech, they should probably take the ion out, and it will be up to them if they decide to ignore it /(can't really circumvent a nukie mech can you? )
-
The same way you can grab them, they can grab you too, or esword you, or pull you, or minibomb you, ... .Not to mention that has nothing to do with the pod's speed.

This is a gross overstatement. I've never managed to do more than land a couple of laser shots on one or two nukies if they were all still together. All my nukie kills were against solo nukies. I'll even do a run down of the engagements I have memory off: 4 nukies outside the incinerator, all shoot their cr90 or something like that at me, some of their shots land, while I don't even get to even try to shoot. I go back get some repairs done, and return, they are now spread between mining and cargo, still in space. One of them had the spirit of mind to shoot the ion carabine, i ded solo nukie floating eastwards towards the AI satellite, I manage to dodge most of the fire and wait for him to reload his shotgun, and when he does, I disable him, wait for him to drop, and then remove his suit while he begs for mercy, he ded 2 nukies running inside science maintenance by the windows, one of them is shooting something ballistic, the other one shoots an ion, I dodge a gun shot and fly towards the ion because I have brain damage, no one ded because they run off and then somehow explode 3 agressive vox raiders outside the armory, one of them throws an EMP grenade, I notice it and try to run from it, but it still just about gets to the pod, you can guess the rest all the nukies heading out from their ship north of the old bar, I was waiting for them, they suppress me with ballistic gun fire, I manage to get one of them to drop with my disablers, but I can't do much more as I keep running from the bullets, they all eventually manage to get in the station long time ago, I think 3 nukies outside the HoS office? Same as above, this time I get one or two of them with one or two laser shots, they all then get inside the station. Later in dchat one of them mentions that that laser shot fudged his movement speed which contributed to his death Moral of the story is, if they nukies stay together in space, there's not a lot a space pod could do. If one of them has an ion carabine, odds are they can probably get the pod as well. EDIT: don't get me wrong, the speed nerf was needed, but I think it's a bit too much the way it is right now

Malpractice bay 2.0 or WTF are you doing with my organs?

The only difference I see is that implanting objects require you to drill a hole first, right before you implant it. So, scalpel, hemostat, retractor, [saw, retractor if it's chest or head], drill, and close it up i'm a goddamn idiot there is no difference -
this is so accurate that I'm not sure if I should laugh or cry

I'd rather keep as much people away from infected fluids. It's not like applying cleaner is a science.

Technically, all viruses mutate on transmission, but the only thing that changes is the severity and chance of it's effects. Things like how much healing longevity syndrome gives, or how much ethanol glasgow syndrome gives. Mutating to a completely new symptom is impossible, as far as I know. Even if you stand in a radiation storm, it won't mutate.

Should synthflesh slow/stop IB in place of styptic powder?
pinatacolada replied to Crazylemon's topic in Suggestions
As long as it doesn't stop it, or slow down too much. 33% slower bleeding maybe. -
Should synthflesh slow/stop IB in place of styptic powder?
pinatacolada replied to Crazylemon's topic in Suggestions
I say no, IB should remain a serious condition, BUT! Quick clot! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FbMpMdEqRs This should slow it, not stop it, and moving or being dragged around with it applied should null it's effect (something like a 30% chance of it falling out of place for each step maybe?) It'd also need to be removed for surgery, I'm thinking hemostat to pull it out. -
Brig phys needs a medical SoP too. Mannitol after cloning. In general, it also doesn't cover the usual case in viral outbreaks, where it's a medical doctor that first gets the cure. What I propose is for something along this lines: doctor/nurse/whatever identifies a patient with an unknown virus immediately move patient to isolation take blood sample from patient (the full syringe, 15u), and deliver it to virologist virologist does his thing with infected blood sample meanwhile, and if agreed, doctor administers radium, and when cured, takes another blood sample, and delivers it to the virologist virologist does the antibody thing, and when done, he is to deliver a full beaker of water infused antibodies (or equivalent, buckets are great) to the chemistry fridge. Beaker must be labeled and stuff. Chemist or CMO then should then ideally make pills of the cure solution. Curing people with radium while a cure is available should be frown upon I think Oh, also, coroners: [*]Coroners should administer Formaldehyde to corpses. [*]Coroners should perform autopsies, and keep them in their locker. If they believe there was foul play in the cause of death, they are to alert security.

this... is pretty much the way it already works: Code Red Situation - situations which would warrant a Code Red, such as: full blown mutinies, hostile boarding parties, and Space Wizards automatically authorise lethal force. Non-Lethal Weapons Ineffective - certain targets are impervious to NLWs, such as Mechs, Xenomorphs, Borgs, and Hulks. Lethal force may be used against these targets if they prove hostile. Severe Personal Risk - sometimes getting close enough to a target to slap the cuffs on will create significant personal risk to the Officer. Deadly force from range is recommended to subdue Wizards and Changelings. Criminals in hostile environments such as space, fire, or plasma leaks also fall into this category, as do criminals believed to be in possession of high explosives. Ranged lethal force is the only reasonable option in these conditions. Armed and Dangerous - if a suspect is in possession of weapons, including stun weapons, and you have reasonable suspicion that they will use these against you, lethal force is permitted. Although in the majority of cases it is still preferable to attempt to detain them non-lethally.Note: Unauthorised personnel in the armory are considered by default to be Armed and Dangerous, maximum force is permitted to subdue such targets. Multiple Hostiles - it can be extremely difficult to detain multiple hostiles. As a last resort if you are being mobbed you may deploy your baton in a harmful manner to thin the crowd. Generally it is better to retreat and regroup than to stand your ground.
