Yep, being named after a star or a chemical is the way to go. I play Procyon, one of the first timers I played her was also one of the first times I played as a miner. I found the kitten out on the asteroid and wondered if it was named after the founder, and took like the first 4 letters of their name at first. :p

This has come up before in the guise of firing pins that detect loyalty implants and such - A very strong security buff, and as pointed only traitors have a counter to this - Vampires and shadowling thralls would be most impacted by this, changelings could live with this change.

The old system was, what, 14/21/28 days playtime for heads of staff and Captain, right? Ultimately I'm not sure there is much we can do, there are always going to be people who are not amazing at particular jobs, but enjoy them nonetheless. There is no perfect solution here.

Using knowledge gained whilst you're dead after you get revived is not permitted, talking about objectives and stuff is fine in deadchat, even people talking about the objectives they had and such. The only issue is using this knowledge IC when you have no way of knowing.

In regards to - https://github.com/ParadiseSS13/Paradise/pull/7462 it could become difficult for vampires to survive the first few meals. I have an idea that may or may not help this. Change the hypnotise spell so that it is an instant mute, and then knockout (10 seconds or so.) and also tells the victim in no uncertain terms that they have no idea of what just happened, they think they just fainted or something. Ideally this will enable vampires to drain blood piece by piece, whilst providing the framework for them to power up AND not be ratted out on immediately by any victims. Feedback/comments/improvements/salt welcomed

Roleplay is equally valid if it's talking about your backstory in the bar, if you're doing clown shenanigans, science studies or strangling your lover in maint whilst whispering "Sorry". A system or something where you're told that you've rolled X antag like, 30 seconds before the round starts means you could pick and choose (Or powergame the shit out of) which character fits the role or if you want a completely random character, which might work.

I mean, having to kill your IC friend/wife/husband/ex is /great/ for RP. Because you can interact and not do it wordlessly. Make up some context. "You know how I said I sorted the money problems we had? Yeah it isn't handled and They want me to do this..." blah blah. Sometimes having an established character do criminal things is good.

Pickpocket gloves are amazingly great for general fuckery and when combined with agent IDs. Can also be used for assassinate objectives, I guess. Strip that Voxygen and run before they know what happened!

I'd like to go over a list of items that I believe are used too little that need reviewing, either mechanically or TC wise. I know someone has a list of how often things have been purchased, do please link to that whoever you are. I think it was @Purpose2 but I'm not certain. Ambrosia Cruciatus, 2TC - Not really sure how much these can be improved as I think they will never be relevant. Boozey Shells, 6TC - I don't think I've ever seen these used. Fibre Wire Garotte, 12TC - Whilst effective, the high price does turn a lot of people off from what I've seen. Camera Bug, 1TC - Very rarely useful, perhaps if it gave the user an AI-like method of viewing cameras and/or tracking people it would be more used. Hacked AI Module, 14TC - Often skipped out on because R&D have the ability to effectively replace this at will. Dart Pistol, 4TC - The size bonus is nice, but the RSG gives you more chance if you miss your first shot; and can be made for little material cost. Binary Encryption Key, 5TC - Likely due to access to :b is much less valuable than hearing security. Syndie Surgery bag, 4TC - Majority of items can be made from a 'lathe for little material cost. Military Belt, 3TC - Very quick red flag that something is going on, despite not being S class contraband and made moot by Bag of Holding in most situations. If anyone else knows of any other traitor items that may require a review on what they do and/or their price, I'd be interested to hear.

I think a QT lawset is a great idea, an improvement on the current law 8 usage.

Considering that removing the flash capability (Does the AOE using flash in-hand stun?) leaves EMP as the only reliable counter to a borg, this severely impacts one of the most popular races, IPCs. Emagging borgs would basically be impossible without a flash, too. I can't agree with these suggestions, far too much.

I believe that system is still used for certain things, the chaplain's shade sounds like that to everyone as an example.
