Cloning itself was originally a bug, I think it was only properly implemented through popular demand. IPC humanization sounds like a schadenfreudey thing to do, if it was made to require more than just a bit of surgery and maybe require some hard(ish) steps(say.. requiring some "strange reagent" or something) I don't see why it wouldn't be a decent feature, albeit one that should get you in some sort of trouble if you're a dick with it (ie: slimes "monkeying" themselves, that was stamped out pretty quick). Or maybe just make it so the resurrected IPCuman is a Frankenstein, that'd probably be funnier.

Have we been taken over by a synthetic mafia? Though better backstory can only be a good thing.

The research console has a "lock" feature that's only ever used by comdom RDs who want to kill their own department, if the ID requirement were removed making the lock-ability more prominent for science staff would probably be a good idea. The bad old days had every powergaming atmostech with a fireaxe smashing in so they could setup their own R&D, not necessarily a bad thing, but not needing access makes a bit too easy.

9000/10 would seek forbidden knowledge again.

I don't see why not, the problems that might arise are nothing we don't get heaps of regardless. It's nothing ghosts don't see anyway if it's just restricted to public stuff, afterall we'd all understand why nobody'd want to reveal the sekrit admin ERP chat

Additional Means to Open Locked Containers (Crates, Lockers)

If lock boxes were physically breakable it'd be guaranteed science would be running around with death lasers every single round, just like old times That said though, being able to thermite them open or something wouldn't be too bad if there were immediate repercussions for the would be griffin. Maybe an alarm like the one the cap's laser case gets? A spray of nasty gas? a flashbang? a very loud noise? all of the above? Really, getting into those damn boxes shouldn't be as impossible as they are IMO, if there were just more downsides to the whole thing it could work if anyone has the time to code it. -
If the bat did something like 5 damage and 10 when wielded it wouldn't be too bad, if there only 2 or 3 available in dorms or something. Not adding new stuff because players might abuse it is a sad reality apparently

The problem of R&D not functioning is sort of why the RD exists. Though his primary purpose is apparently meant to keep them from going out of control, the whole point of having a head of staff is to solve issues like this, and there's hardly a shortage of RD players. RDs who actually contribute anything to the department however...

Additional Means to Open Locked Containers (Crates, Lockers)

If you're not an antag, and you really want to get into something locked, there's always a way. EMPs for instance, which anyone can make with the right ingredients, the aforementioned emitters, stealing the bartender's shotgun and nicking some lethal shells from cargo, getting lucky with a small explosion etc. It'd be nice to a couple more ways of getting in though, but it certainly shouldn't be easy. -
Yeah of course, otherwise it'd silly... It is space after all, zero-gravity could come at any time, it's how I explain away the straps anyway.
-
It just seems a little bit too easy, strap/unstrap instantly but take 10 seconds to cuff them in the first place? 3 seconds would do it, if only to eliminate the unstrap/strap spam which certain sec players love to pull. In a similar vein, perhaps not have operating tables instantly lay someone down, if you're in the surgery theatre and someone manages to get a pull on you it's all over... because you feel obliged to lie down?
-
Giving them a seclite is perfectly reasonable, but a secbelt, which is meant for storing tasers/batons/flashbangs is a bit much IMO. Boxes aren't that unwieldy anyway if you ask me
-
Pretty much a MULE but with legs, be nice if it were coded.
-
The gear you get can all fit into your box, there's no real need for a belt. Be cool to have though, but the reason detectives had their brig access reduced in the first place was so they didn't have any excuse to play like a normal sec officer, which they're not. The only items that would make sense to put in a sec belt would be the telebaton cuffs and bullets, all which can go in your pockets/coat anyway.
-
You mean the incense? Yeah but I didn't know if there was a name for the incense holder lol. (I am a bad Catholic.) Its called a censer I think. If I remember properly, its only used once per mass, as opposed to all the damn in Orthodox churches.

But still bug riddled and unable to enjoy half the game, still worth it though! Some people may recall Belarion, forget him. Hi I'm Belario, usually play John Quitacre, and as soon as I have enough Karma unlocked Queeg and Ultor. Expect me to try my hardest not to be too much of a metagaming asshole, and to fail miserably.

I swear, every single round I'm in, fucking space carp, no exceptions so far. If a round lasts longer than 30 minutes, a carp encounter is all but guaranteed. They aren't OP in the slightest but they are a little too common, space is dangerous and all, but maybe not quite so many carp?
