Late by about a year, but hey... At least I'm here... Right? Guys... Right? Heyo! You guys probably know me ICly by Luigi Belducci, the sassy Italian man that usually rocks Security or Blueshield. Byondkey being SmokingKilz (Hey, leave me alone I thought it sounded cool.) Anyway, just wanted to make sure I finally made an introduction thread, bidding my greetings to all you spess-people.

Should probably add that Jenkins should no longer come on the station and slap a female wizards butt, turned out rather deadly for Jenkins last time that happened.

Blueshield doesn't even get cargo access by default.

Right, since I've been essentially been playing almost nothing but Blueshield since I've unlocked him, I'd like to add my input as said "Blueshield player." Personally believe that the revolver, or a similar /ballistic/ firearm is the perfect less-than lethal option for a Blueshield, and I'll list up a few of the reasons now: No limited range like a tazer, making it a lot more useful if you're chasing that has grabbed a VIP, and they decide to run down a long hallway of sorts, possibly ahead of tazer range. It also seems like the projectiles fly a little faster than a tazer, another bonus. Cannot be deflected by e-swords and e-shields that Ops would usually be equipped with, thus giving the Blueshield an actual chance to evacuate a VIP from near proximity of Ops. Option to fire a few more shots in attempts to deal enough damage to disable someone, i,e: broken leg. This would be especially useful if trying to get away from a greater number of threats.[/list Faster fire rate, at least from what I understand, thus making it a better weapon to use against NPC's charging up against you or a VIP. These are a few of the benefits of a ballistic based weapon that come off the tip of my head, of course ballistic weapons are not the all-working god guns, they have pro's and con's, I just believe the pro's are the right pro's for a Blueshield. However if we cannot make the Blueshield's bullets be more effective than the Detective's we could always switch from the current revolver to something else, possible a M1911-ish gun that actually fires kinetic projectiles instead of that pulse variant.

Just to quickly make something clear, what happened to the clowns after this whole thing went down? Did they get arrested? Normally they'd get arrested for assault since well, it's assault.

Issue again with that is, you can't replace the Revolver with a pure none-lethal weapon, it just wont work. Blueshield needs to be pack a punch if he needs to, i.e against Mobs, Nukies, etc.

Chances of you one-shotting three+ people while they are moving and then having the time to leave is pretty low. But again, Blueshield faces more than just targets that can be stunned.

Personally I really dislike the e-gun due to the disablers seem good on paper, and they kind of are and then again kind of aren't. If you need to do a quick reaction none-lethal stun on someone in closer quarters with more than two people about, it's really hard to land those shots. Then, onto the Stun Revolver, personally that makes no sense unless it replaces the tazer the Blueshield gets, Blueshield should really have lethal power to some extent since they are not always dealing with things that they can stun. I.E: Borgs, mobs, etc. And well, Shotguns are way too big. I think the best course of action would be to balance the Revolver, or replace it with something similar.

I personally am really for a change that makes it so the Blueshield Lieutenants now directly report to CC, it would make so much more sense and would save a lot of Blueshield players from comdoms that think Blueshield is just a personal puppy to drag around.

I had the same question when I first got Blueshield so I spoke to admins via ahelp and I was told that NT Rep is who you directly take orders from, if he's not available then the HoS and finally the Captain. I personally don't pull out the "You're not my boss." card unless a comdom Captain threatens to demote me if I don't listen to his rather stupid order.

We were moved to the basketball court though I'm not sure if it was to get us away from all that was going on or to simply play on a bigger court, but I assume it was something along the lines of the former. Anyway, just my two cents as the Blueshield that round coming in, I mean it was pretty late, not long from crew transfer and we needed opponents, Dexter decided to show and after a long wait he said he had a second and out hopped his support parasite, though /sadly/ it couldn't actually pick up the ball. All in all we were just trying to have some fun on a late round, and personally I don't think anything done on the b-ball court warranted for the Captain to give a kill on sight nor did a HoPcurity need to show to fire off his SMG. I think all parties involved would of been happier if it was dealt with in a better manner ICly, possible even an arrest after our game of b-ball was over.

It started as a normal 2 v 2 B-Ball full contact game, when we found out the parasite can't hold the ball we called in the local po-po. We were later teleported to the Interstellar court by the glorious Basketball Overlord Alpha, for a 2 v2 full contact best of five game for a secret prize. Weegee and Pusen managed to win it. We both got one wish each, Weegee's was to have the comdom Captain over for a chance of robusting him. Also yes, I was listening to Space Jam throughout the whole match.
