It looks like the same system we already use. I for one do want map rotation. It would be interesting to play on a different map every so often. Change things around a little. For that we would need a few extra maps but that wouldn't be too hard, right?

Woosh, sounds very cool. But don't you think that human nose is not... sensitive enough to detect such pheromones? What if you're on internals?! I thought about this the moment that post was made but kept quiet. People already vomit if they come in contact with a long-enough dead body. But right when it dies? Blob 2.0 in my opinion. They are not a hivemind though. Each gestalt is its own self until they merge into the super organism that becomes that said station. They become that station so they can share all the knowledge that each individual diona collected. If they had a hivemind and could switch control, and to any sort of extent share that sort of connection, then they wouldn't need to merge

I was actually wondering about that. They are simple_animals and I don't think they have those issues that full diona have. I mean plant extra nodes so other players could join. Not "Oh am I deaded? That's okay I'll just respawn at this backup node I planted". "more of themselves" meaning more diona nymphs.

I agree with Fox. People hurt themselves all the time. I tend to hit myself with floor tiles. Also I don't think you can hide injuries? I think Examine finds all injuries even if clothing would cover it but I don't know for sure

I'm not against adding a new race but I don't think it should be done just yet. Otherwise I guess it sounds balanced? It's going to be an expensive karma race that's for sure

I don't think so. It's goes against their genetic evolution. If you read their history (whenever or not that matters) the gestalt form was evolved in order to help flee from the kidan and being able to revert back into it doesn't make sense even as a fallback form. If it doesn't go against the topic I'd like to post a suggestion for diona too. Give them a racial ability to make diona nodes so they can create more of themselves. So far we can only depend on Botanist to plant the three they start with and Cargo to order Exotic Seed Crates. Maybe make it a long recharge time before making a node. Maybe even make it so you have to use it next to a hydro tray or soil.

You can only give karma once per-round, correct? I would prefer being able to give up to three but for different users. Rarely do I find more than one person to give karma to but when I do I feel bad about not being able to

No server cap. Even if you could balance the population between the two, you'll only end up with two medium to maybe low populated servers than one decently filled one. If you don't have enough people then it's just no good. That maybe doesn't matter as people could join as observers/ghosts and wait for a positronic brain/pAI/diona/NPC/golems to spawn and join in as. Ah, but if only enough people did those things all the time. I don't think I see it often enough

If this follows PORTAL logic then I don't think I mind the idea of it. It would be a fun little thing for R&D to rig up and play with. Sure it'll make them massive trolls but just imagine the !!FUN!!

I've never seen it. Are you sure you're not confusing it with a nymph merging with the gestalt? The nymphs can also detach from the gestalt but when I did it my camera broke

It's not basically what I said but in the same direction. I just noticed a bunch of lists that have "allTheThings - restricted" and wondered if that could be implemented in the player lists for karma if it uses a list. Keep admins off those lists and make the function ignore admins if spent on them. Else I do think your example might be useful too. Maybe just say "It's can't be done" or "[user] cannot receive karma. Choose someone else"

I give karma to people who help me out and are nice. Chemists/medical staff in Chemistry and Scientists in R&D primarily. Sometimes Robotics if they can swipe stuff from R&D. So you don't end up giving karma to admins, at least with the Special Verbs button, can't you make a list of admin ckeys/players with admin ckeys that would be blocked from that selection? Maybe for admins you can also omit the Give Karma right-click verb but that might give away an admin. Or you could have the function when used on an admin to just skip everything. That might be a little less obvious

I agree with this. If anything the only items on here that sound good are the switchblade (Bay has a butterfly knife you can make), wrist wraps (maybe just apply gause to your hands for a little extra punch but that would require extra coding than item includes) and debatable on the fiber wire. That last one could make an interesting antag weapon and really bring in the fear of murder as well as feeling like a badass for strangulating someone

I'd like to work on Hydroponics related pages if no one else is doing them. Hydro is my go-to job of choice and I feel I understand it enough. Add to that a semi-ability to read the code (it's better than it sounds, trust me) I think I can update the pages to what we have loaded in the code. Just one question... What if any are the correct proceedings to edit the wiki? Do you just make the edit and then a moderator views it and approves or do you make a request? I don't want to mess this up on my first try like I did on here

I kind of like this idea. Sometimes you just want to die and stay dead (no emo here). This would be helpful for those that just want to sit out of playing or want to respawn as something new
