You know, I can see someone, maybe reasonable but most likely not, complain about this in a way that it will turn into more furry hate. "Oh, IPCs can get their own body color but you want to limit the anthropomorphic character to certain colors? RAEG! IMA DDOS YOU ALL!" But in all seriousness though this should be a thing. I don't play IPC (no karma ;( ) but it should be an option for customization. How hard would it be to make this happen?

That should be the default I say and then make it so you can remove the tracking beacon. Don't even make it take up an equipment space either if it doesn't already

Oh my gosh, we just had a semi-massive debate about lockboxing Robotics and R&D and now we're going to make more ways to open said lockboxes? I don't even know if anything was lockboxed, I do know this will be shot down

That's actually been going on a bit lately if I recall. Either missing engineers or they've been just walking off somewhere. The problem is even if you do get called out on it that doesn't mean they'll go do it unless they are hunted down. That will most likely happen in the case of engineers. For scientists though, ehhhhh, I don't see it too much. They're important yeah, but not as important as Engineering. Science has more widespread use than Engineering who are more centralized in powering the station. Science just makes life more convenient

I feel this is only half a reason a PR might go through, not the full. Granted, coders are the only ones that know what's going on and therefore know what is best because no one knows what is worse. If more people understood or paid attention to what things meant then they might be able to make a change to it. Not a good chance mainly because You have to be at the same level to fight back against things you don't like. Even then the majority will win out and push what they think is best. I don't know why LINDA replaced ZAS but it was in general not a good choice. And that is a major shame because this server does so many other things great. It's going to be a long time before we get a better atmos system in place that brings back the fear of dying to the void.

Do they not have access? I was Botanist and snuck into R&D and was able to use the console to make hydro tray parts. I'd imagine they could use it if I could. It's kind of an interesting problem. On the one hand they are Robotics and kind of the unwanted crack baby of Engineering and Science. They should be restricted to their area. On the other hand, R&D tend to be assholes (normally when I go to them) and on the rare case they don't do their job then someone else should. I think the Roboticist would be that next in command when it comes to sciencing. [spoiler2]because if the Scientists are doing jackshit then you have to wonder what the RD is doing[/spoiler2]

No, I'm pretty sure this doesn't count under the "incompentent" area. Juggling is a fairly useless feat and clowns should be able to do just that. I sense a strong dislike for Genetics on this station. I think it wouldn't hurt to move it over there. Not like it's getting any use and it be a way less dangerous location for something as wild as that. Here's a thought. Why not switch it out with the testing lab? No idea what that room is used for but it seems out of the way enough from everything else Science.

This is pretty stupid in my opinion. Blob should have to take over >75% of the station, at a bare minimum taking over 50% of the station should be required, since just natural expansion after bursting can give instant victory on low pop rounds. I'd rather see blob resource increase with every x people in the round over having a requirment to take over less of the station, as fewer people mean there is more ground to cover to try and find the damn thing to begin with, giving it an even greater advantage. I agree with this. The blob should take over the station, 50-75% for a win. Scale resources with population so that it can better defend itself in higher population but not be too OP during low population.

Yeah of course, otherwise it'd silly... It is space after all, zero-gravity could come at any time, it's how I explain away the straps anyway. That's what I always thought. I noticed that stools don't have straps and that's because it would be silly. Also can't you beat someone with those? But yeah, straps are needed in space otherwise you'll float away while asleep if the gravity goes off

Okay. So I'm not complaining but I am confused. The server has a strict "No ERP" rule and I know that the forums do not encompass the "server" specifically, however I cannot understand how this has continued with that in mind. The art is amazing and I love it. I don't mind any of it at all even though I try to restrict my view sometimes. I think it's been stated that making such a system would be really tough and a few other projects, if not actual atmos revisions, are also in the works. I don't really like having LINDA as a system but it's something until we get back to ZAS level murder space

It's not difficult to implement. I've done it before in the past on my own code. I can't see it being an issue to do on here but it might seem so niche that no one will get to it in a reasonably fast manner. If you really want you could do this yourself in the code and make a Pull Request for it. I'll help out if you have any trouble with it

I REALLY want to see the space dollars and coins be put to use. Likewise I'd like to see the wallet be used as well for holding said money. The only problem I see however is anyone properly using the economy as it would be annoying to do. Maybe if you inserted automatic sellers, like for a chef he would put food in a case and people could buy the food from that after inserting the cash. Maybe even a request system like in normal restaurants where you order and then get served. Also give the HoP the job of paying everyone. I'd want to see that be done personally.

Yeah, I kind of miss the purpose that personal rooms held but I do respect the use that the cyro pods serve. You can't really make enough rooms for everyone on the station and that's if they would use it like said above. It would be a nice place for privacy however so antags could do their stuff.

I remember something. Bay has a hoverpod mech which cargo orders. Basically Guardians of the Galaxy pod for those who watched it. That would be the engineering/industrial mech for anyone as it is made for that purpose. Can also be spaced so it could do hull breaches. Why not port that and make it construct-able?

Can you reverse engineer mutations this way? I've always wondered if getting a mutation automatically gives you the gene block it is assigned to. Otherwise I share MarvinMartian's feels. Just doesn't seem like it would add to anything.
