What happened to your other topic? Should have used that instead

Whenever I play as Robotics I tend to fucking hate the rest of Science. For... reasons I'll say. That being said, it might be best for some implants to be in a lockbox but then who will have access to open them? Ideally, Robotics for most of the normal ones but for the security-in-mind implants it would have to be security to unlock them. If abuse is an issue then might as well treat them as anything else that comes from the Science department, even though it does have a bad sound to it. As for not knowing about the implants, wouldn't it make sense to have some HUD show that they are installed? Maybe give the Roboticist's HUD the ability to see implants and robotic organs? If that is their domain then they should be able to know. Make it a small icon even detecting what robotics someone has installed or show up in the Examine prompt. A bit of work deciding how to display and even more if HUD code, but would be better

I just think the sprite dips a little lower. I'm being serious here, take a look at the sprite yourselves

THAT'S WHAT YOU GET FOR DRAWING BETTER THAN ME. But yeah, looks great. Not bedhead enough for Tauka and Sienna looks a little maaaale-ish? Might be the snout and front bob of her hair or I'm just blind and stupid. Also I'm pretty sure the red dress shows off more boobage than that

Let's take this idea and stick it in the Gateway I say. Sure a time machine would be cool and the ultimate endgame for SCIENCE but there is no practical reason aside from bragging rights and maybe other times. Something else for Science to build wouldn't be a bad idea however. What, I wouldn't know but it's a thought now

If you want a gold-grub just get one from Mining I say. That would require work for it. Otherwise as a pet it would need to be something already domesticated. Still up for a lizard or iguana resprite.

I thought they could already do 3? Also, MULEbots are kind of useless now that we have the pipe mailing system. I'd like to see them used more, along with the cargo train, but with the pipe system there is basically no reason to

I played as Robotics and was expected to build and install implants. Wasn't hard, not with the surgery instructions. But yeah, Scientists shouldn't be doing this unless ghetto surgery or they make their own Medbay. Robotics I think are qualified. Medbay would be the next case however but kind of a waste of their time I think

Make science goggles able to see the parts inside a machine
Tauka Usanake replied to ProperPants's topic in Suggestions
I just discovered that Robotics has a robotics HUD that's yellow so I'd think to put this functionality into a Science HUD maybe. A new device. Science goggles already tell you reagents, materials, and tech levels I think. Maybe the goggles could share the functionality but I like the idea of anther colored HUD set -
Inducing a quick death is the only use shadow people can be said to have. That's fine and all, sure but utterly dumb. It's a race, a species or at least treated as one. I'd like to see it get some treatment and be made useful. Otherwise fine, it might as well be considered a chemical that slowly turns you into dust. I mean if there is no other use for it

[POLL]Slime people fragile/boneless limbs?
Tauka Usanake replied to Crazylemon's topic in Suggestions
That sounds nice and reasonable. However can you transplant them then? Not that you probably should but I kind of like that it can be done -
Okay, new suggestion. Shadow people are useless and functionally broken, but mainly because they don't have any GOOD functions. It's something in the game but doesn't have any uses, maybe only existing due to a port and nothing more. Shadow people are similar to shadowlings, correct? They heal in the dark, die in the light, so they might have some relation to shadowings. However dying in the light isn't very good for anyone. I'd suggest than they keep their light damage or whatever, might not matter anyways, but cast darkness around them kind of like the cult constructs so they won't die right away or at all to just standing somewhere. Not a lot of darkness, but their tile keeps them safe from damage while surrounding tiles just mark that they are there. Maybe giving them dark vision wouldn't hurt either (unless that's what "darksight = 8" gives them) as they are creatures of the dark. I mean you have this transformation available but you give it no practical use, in fact make it a death sentence for anyone who wants to use it. Might as well remove it instead

[POLL]Slime people fragile/boneless limbs?
Tauka Usanake replied to Crazylemon's topic in Suggestions
Not sure how they should work without a head though. I think they should go into crit/hard crit except automatically regrow the head in time and if they can't because lack of nutrients they slowly die. Yeah, if their core is in their chest then how would head removal work? As for turning them into simple slimes again you got advanced mutagen for that -
No ERP

I'm going to stick you in a 1x1 room. That's okay, I'll just be an observer for now on and play as pAI while telling my master that roasted diona is the healthiest food around. CHALLENGE ACCEPTED
-
I'd still think the core should be in the body. Kind of where it should be if following slime biology

You are going to get murdered so hard here Hi! I don't normally visit this sub-forum much but welcome to the station! If you're looking for IC friends then try and make a stop by my characters Tauka and Sienna, they'll be more than happy to make friends.
-
Yeah, I think that's better. Give QM an iguana though, just change the sprite for the lizard. Warden getting the pug is better. What names would they have?
-
Yeah but they're basically the best salad you can eat! Roasted salad, but still good. I wonder if we can get them steamed...
-
I still always thought the QM as a lesser head, again because of the group I used to play SS13 with. I'd like him to have a pet, I mean he's technically sub-head of Cargo and Mining. Has his own office even. He could get some love
-
Wrong topic. Improvised defibrillators are over here Beep
-
I like that. A pug on the station would be nice. Ooooooooh, that sounds even better, but the poor pug...

ADDENDUM: Implant SOP for Science and Medical
Tauka Usanake replied to TullyBBurnalot's topic in Wiki Development
That would be interesting. However that would only be useful for other people who have it, basically a hard-to-get encryption key or what you use in your headsets. Being able to talk to xenos could be something you could give Xenobiology but otherwise as traitors go it wouldn't or rather shouldn't help them in the slightest. Would be nice if it could, but it wouldn't
