Hey guys! Just the friendly neighbourhood SS13-player introducing himself here. Move along.
I've discovered Space Station 13 about a year ago and played it a couple of weeks. But at that time the Goon-servers were the biggest ones and RP was nowhere to be found. Instead Buttbots were everywhere. I really liked the game but found that FUN was for the biggest part dependent on your fellow players. Space Station 13 is at it's best when you patrol hallways in pairs as security officers, when you build the miners a RIPLEY and the miners keep sending your ores as Roboticist and when you distribute manpower where needed as Head of Personnel. When I joined Paradise Station I found out that people actually DO communicate here. Oh, AND we have Major Tom as soundtrack in between rounds.
I've only been playing again for a week. You might now me as Madd Daemon. I've played security officer, roboticist, quartermaster, engineer, that kind of stuff. Before I jump into the deeper jobs I want to become familiar with construction, hacking and robusting. My best moments were being murdered by Tyler Stern, assistant, who dragged me off into maintenance and asked me if I wanted to lose an eye or a limb. Before he stabbed me in the eye I asked him to see a picture of my wife for the last time. Or when Cortisol Borers were all over the station and we security officers made the security arm a secure area. When the Head of Security acting weird. I was sent in as point man with a health analyzer while the rest watched through the windows. It turned out the Head WAS infected and we danced around each other. Unfortunately it ended with me bucked to a chair and being beaten to dead with the whole ship watching.
So, I hope you don't mind a newb in your midst. I'm trying to learn and one day (far far away) I will robust all your motherfucking asses.
By the way, in real life I study Business Innovation. Project Management, Intellectual Property, Social Networks etcetera.
