Seeing as Engineering is a department that sees a high demand for tools and specialized electronics, I'd think that it might be a good idea to grant them an autolathe on round start. Ya or na?

I had to remove the hair from the base sprites of the slime people heads so it'd work nice with this new hair, so simply being bald won't retain complete feature parity... It sounds like at least some portion of the slime portion crowd appreciates the new hair, though.
-
So, I've heard that Slime people players haven't been too keen on the new hair - should I roll things back to before that change?

Keep in mind we have basically unlimited antag slots, so we SHOULD be able to add another set of antag flags. __DEFINES, in role_preferences.dm, should be where you can add roles (and thus, ban slots) correspondingly. That should streamline the process of antag bans a whole bunch. EDIT: Your black widow venom appears to account that brain damage stacks with other forms of damage - I don't believe that's actually the case.

Malpractice bay 2.0 or WTF are you doing with my organs?

Branching surgery can come later - the sooner the PR is finished, the better, I'd say. -
Malpractice bay 2.0 or WTF are you doing with my organs?

Err, it's the linear surgery from -tg- right now... I'd imagine one could get around this by giving each surgery step a list of steps one could do after completing it, so that the structure of surgeries follows a more branching path... -
Took a quick look, it seems that the "Chem Synth" is just a mode they slapped onto the chem dispenser - put a beaker in with a reagent in it that it doesn't already know about, and it'll scan it and add it to the list of chems it can make. It sounds HANDY, but I think it'd trivialize a lot of the work in making various chems. Perhaps, as a mode available if you get a tier-4 scanning module into a chemistry machine, but even then... EDIT: It seems to actually be a child of the chem dispenser - I think it might work as a research construction, since those normally seldom see use, anyways...
-
Then should we make death less trivial, perhaps?

Should synthflesh slow/stop IB in place of styptic powder?
Crazylemon replied to Crazylemon's topic in Suggestions
Eh, one way or another, it's borrowed time. .4 units deplete every 2 seconds, 20 units (max from a 40u patch) will last you 1 minute, 40 seconds. A pill, of 50u, will give you 4 1/6 minutes of slowing, but at that point you're wasting resources. -
Should synthflesh slow/stop IB in place of styptic powder?
Crazylemon replied to Crazylemon's topic in Suggestions
So if I were, say, to remove the IB healing at 30+ units of styptic, and set the mitigation chem of IB to synthflesh, would that be satisfactory? -
Well, I'll test this now, but contact reactions work separately from on-life reactions - the extinguishing doesn't need the water in one's body
-
So, right now, IB is hard to stop, without actual surgery - the one reagent that moderates its effect, styptic powder, depletes too quickly to be a reasonable answer or even form of triage. So, should I tweak things so that synthflesh does that instead? Synthflesh depletes at a rate of .4 per tick, in place of the 3 per tick of styptic, so that way there should be some way to administer primary care without being at the end of your rope.

they asplode even more when they try to use water to put it out? Thing is, the way water extinguishes, is that it works only as a contact reagent - unless they're taking water patches, which seem super silly, it's unlikely that it'll actually interact with the potassium
-
Right now, as it stands, the only thing governing getting an infection in surgery is how dirty the surgeon's hands/gloves are - there don't exist mechanisms to transfer germs to operating tools or other such contagion vectors. Should I tweak this so that you'll need to keep the tools clean? In addition, the bit about "stabilizing patients before surgery" - should there be some clause regarding internal bleeding there? Seeing as that can't normally be stabilized without surgery, that might seem fit to be regarded as an exception there. Furthermore, there should probably be a clause for medical doctors that are treating patients with large, bulky equipment that's incompatible with the cryotubes (think hardsuits), that they should ensure that such equipment is not stolen while the patient is being treated. And perhaps, something similar for personell that are being cloned?
-
Err, without water, what's the purpose of the potassium?
-
That sounds super easy, and makes a smidgen of sense - an important part of diagnosis, is knowing WHO exactly you're treating.

Different antag preference selections for Nuke Ops.

I mean, antag tags are now as cheap as candy so sure -
This commit restricted remote talk to LOS, citing it as balance for a lack of cooldown. Personally, I think that the power would work fine with a full-map range, thoughts? EDIT: Having read further, I've found that the reason for removing full-map range is to prevent Greys from using it as an unstoppable radio if they are getting murdered, for instance. Given that under the best of circumstances, you've got only a few seconds to send the message, and have to choose who to yell out to from a long list, in tandem with the fact that it only lets you talk with one person at a time, with a lack of a return message for most individuals, I'm not sure such a rebalancing is necessary...
-
I can do this easy, but I think it shouldn't work through masks - else disguises might be tricky. Thoughts?
-
This clone change! Corresponding to this PR.
-
Actually, looking at the code, I think you're able to insert the slime core into a human's torso for the same effect - but with the NO_SCAN cloning change, you'll need to defib the body instead.
-
Your slime hair is ready!
-
Should unclonable species' NO_SCAN be enforced?
Crazylemon replied to Crazylemon's topic in Suggestions
Alright, I went ahead with it After pointing out what I did and what you can do, it seemed people weren't bothered by this. -
You rang? Problem is, the sprites aren't lining up nice. That, and maybe they're too discolored...
-
Indeed! Slam them down!
