I think there should be more about charging money for orders. If a department desperately needs a piece of equipment they shouldn't be forced to pay for it, and currently the SOP seems to allow it with the QM's approval. The QM shouldn't be able to sell NT property, especially to a department on an NT station. That's ridiculous. 9 times out of 10 you won't have time to bother with paying using your department's account and it will take a lot of precious seconds anyway. Possibly make only cosmetic and non-essential items be something you can get charged for?

The request thing is a bad idea. It would be a very good combat move to request a handshake if someone's trying to kill ya, so that it blocks their screen just as the give command does right now. Otherwise, this is pretty much what the emote system is for. There isn't much difference in what you achieve using hard-coded mechanics, and it even feels like the other person is more commited if they bother typing out "shakes his hand". I don't really see how it will impact the skilled surgeons. After just a few operations you're able to remember what you need to do to access organs. What I don't understand is how exactly the current system is broken, but I guess I'm not enough of a magician to get that. Regardless, I'm looking forward to the new features and I hope there won't be much relearning to be done.

They already are... No, I think that's a bad idea. This would make sec order this every single shift as it offers a straight up upgrade over the normal gloves. I'd rather not see any ever than have those be orderable. That's actually a very good point. Making the HoS another person for a milf to take down because of the gloves might impact the gamemode severely. I think it's best we stay the way we are then.

Technically speaking, the RD doesn't need the gloves for anything that's in his area of expertise or legal. Still, they are easily obtainable from the tech storage or by bothering anyone with access to either cargo or engineering. I don't really see the point in making that change. The combat gloves for the HoS don't seem like that much of a buff, though. A bit of bling would be nice to see for those hardworking murderers men of duty, I guess.
