But muh intellectual lusts No really, imagine actual geishas playing the lute and serving tea in pure and perfect chastity without any innuendo whatsoever. Good clean family friendly fun, pls code.

Why not make the "suit" plaspeople wear be a skintight thing ala the contortionists's jumpsuit? Have it go in the jumpsuit slot and be unremovable under normal circumstances unless explosions or sharp objects are involved, it'd probably work better than having them in a perma-exosuit and all the assorted issues that come with it. Come on, skeleton gimps, what's not to love? or it could just be a baggy light hazmat suit.

It's called a police baton alright though it does look like a nightstick, things pretty OP since you can harmbaton as you stun, it's a nice reward for getting past buzzsky. Tele-batons however are cancer and there shouldn't be anymore more of them, lite-version or no.
-
Well you see you say that but in the past I've seen the decision makers say the complete opposite. Such is life under the maintainership, probably better if there was an idea pool instead of endless semantics arguing but oh well.
-
The thing with antag stuns is if you get caught it's GG because you're EoC. With a stunprod or equivalent you can usually play it off as just being a greytider, the trade off is less effectiveness and so it should be. Prods aren't really any deadlier than the easily mass producable spears knives or half the things science can print off dozens of. Yeah it's really fucking annoying when someone validhunts with them but if you're getting into a position where someone with a makeshift stun stick can get you it's likely you didn't prepare yourself properly. That said though I'd be in favour of reducing the stun prods stun to juuuust a fraction above the time it takes to cuff someone, maybe have them make a loud BZZZZT sound as you'd expect from raw electrical contact, they are slightly OP given how easy they are to get a hold of since for stuff like knives you at least have to break into the kitchen somehow.

Vulpkanin are omnivores (But prefer meat) in lore and in code (If the diet flag actually did anything). So are dogs IRL, and us, even though we're supposed to be Savannah dwelling herbivore apes. I mean even something as small as lactose intolerance would be good, have them fart when they ingest milk, that'd do.
-
Just to add onto this, when I was last on the sever sec had a universal policy of prowling everywhere they had access to and checking for hidden walls/scouting out know cultist lairs prior to any actual warning signs. Getting into space somehow or bringing in superior firepower is the only way you're not gonna get screwed, antags are already at a disadvantage when it comes to off station access.

I was around at the time and those "features" seemed mostly to do with good ideas being not so well implemented (or not balanced before porting). Little things like the skrell not having livers and the greys having weak punches are good and stick around longer, the not so good stuff like vox being space proof sticks around because the admins metabuddies are all vox players the advantages they confer aren't abused all that much really. As of right now the vulps get borderline free ghetto NV and that's just not fair, doesn't matter if it's a big deal or not it still should be looked at, IRL is a great resource to draws ideas from and it's not as if future space-chocolate is gonna be the same as the modern day. But those are all lore concerns chocolate vulnerability would be a cool thing IMO so why not is what I'm wondering.

See this Maintainers? FAIR AND BALANCED speed merge pls
-
Make them lethally allergic to coffee/chocolate and make them get hungrier faster (that's carnivores for you). More gimmicky drawbacks might see people play as/against them more interestingly, it's hilarious to murder a skrell with booze and used to even more fun to dexalin + a vox to hell, we need more stuff like it.
-
We need less instastunning all round IMO. How about if they cost 4-7 and dealt a decent amount of randomised burn damage (as you'd expect from being electrocuted) and did stamina pain, stick in induced HEAVY slurring and maybe a little brain damage and they'd be a decent stealth combat option without the "i win" factor. If that's not "balanced" enough have them burn out the battery in 3-5 hits and require a wholly new one, or bump up the TC so they're in the same cost tier as the e-bow.

Company styling regulations when. Department caste system with doctors and nerds getting free reign to have whatever hair colour they want, the plebs can make do with crew cuts and various shades of brown. Command of course have the exclusive right to bear neon.

If it were up to me there'd be a script that auto re-names people with reference names to ones from the Sumerian kings list. It's a bit of non issue, that said though nothing is more pissant than a particularly stupid name. Then again it is 25XX, I'd be more surprised if there were still Harrys and Veronicas running around.

Hideously deformed sprites please.

Ehhh, it'd give yet more power to the AI/comm happy RDs. Do what the cargo shuttle does with the status consoles, those things that have BIG BLUE LETTERS on them, stick a couple of them in the lobby/HoP's office/bridge. Then it's nice and visible and easily monitorable whilst still requiring a modicum of effort to keep tabs on them, as opposed to instantly being informed.

[Karma shop suggestion]Price swap for kidan and plasma man
Doukan replied to Mister Mann's topic in Suggestions
That'd only lead to more karma apartheid. Some people just don't get karma, ever, it's a bit mean to completely fence off the xenos from them just on the basis of better RP. -
Flashes are ridiculously common, sec have boatloads of them in the lockers/vendors and there are little piles of them just lying around in places like the bridge, to top it off robotics can easily mass produce them too. They should be treated as tools/personal defence weapons rather than the contraband they're usually seen as IMO, they can be deadly when combined with murderous intent but they're hardly unique in that regard.
-
Make the jumpsuits resistible out of/cuttable off with a knife or something? EMPs are super uncommon and if they're in perma anyway an emag is probably not coming their way either. If space slowed them to a crawl like it does with everyone else it wouldn't be that bad either, toss in some motion sensor cameras and the pod pilot has another duty.
-
But don't sec need TEH POWAH to INFLICT RIGHTEOUS PUNISHMENT? I mean really most of the suggestions around this are just common sense, space law is the law or maybe "just guidelines" but if some is being a shit IC it's sec's duty to do something about it space law or no.
-
People shouldn't be getting brigged for drawing in crayon, it's shitty. If they're really being a nuisance about it or really taking the piss all you have to do is have the relevant head of staff order them to stop, if they keep it up then they're derelicting duty, which isn't actually a crime anymore but the threat of demotion should work for most people. It's well within IC rights to taze them in the eyes and "confiscate" their "materials" too.
-
This would be a nice thing to have but it's better not to have it, the snufleks are real. I'm not joking, you used to be able to name and extensively customise your ERT character and we lost that because people started using on-station characters and BS arrpee'ing themselves into metashitdom, there were more than a couple of petty officers/fleet lieutenants running around and it was terrible. The same thing would happen with customizable nuke ops.
-
It used to be a common thing for people to break into R&D and print off all the cool stuff/steal all the parts and make their own version, which isn't really a bad thing but then salty nerds started doing shit like wiping the research server after they got their own toys and this was all considered okay because it was all IC. If console locking were a bit more intuitive it'd be fine though, lockboxes were brought in mainly so we didn't get !!gun!! science every damn round anyway it's kinda overkill to have ID locked consoles too.
-
The main problem with it was it's stun spam and that is was easily sealed away behind 3+ layers of r-walls. Most of it's issues could be solvable with better containment design (90% of which would involve having the CE know how to mass driver it). I kinda miss pulling around the core as an IPC and throwing people into though it'd be nice to see it come back.

Everyone immediately maint exploring at round start to get the syndie loot is the new meta, having maint bite back would be great.

They're only ever used by valid hunting/power gaming shit lords anyway, if needed the CMO can just bolt open storage. i medically treated against will for 4th time this week pls nerf
