Agreed, which is why I suggested having them listed as NT VIPs.

The current janitor's closet doesn't have a camera and is basically in maint, why would we need one here? Yes, it doesn't have a camera currently. But with its new location fully within maintenance, we should at least consider including one. Also it isn't "basically in maint" any more than the Paramedic's is currently. AKA it isn't. Where as this new location is much closer to being electrical maintenance.

Or maybe listed as NT VIPs

With no way to suicide as AI, to follow the 'spirit' of the law, you'd have to ghost.

The windoor in the Cargo Disposals room is on the outter square, which means someone standing behind the counter and wanting to open the windoor to give someone something, etc... they have to climb onto the table to open the door. Moving it back onto the same square as the table would fix this issue. Alternatively sticking the table on the outside like many departments have.

Overall opinion: Awesome lets do it. However the devil is in the details. 1) With the Janitor's closet's new location - would you consider implementing a camera for the AI in that room? 2) Just so I understand, your current plan with the old Janitor closet is to leave it an empty area similar to Maint surgery? 3) Shaft miner will need more suits and GPS devices also. 4)A second detective actually adds a huge amount of power to Security. Not saying thats a bad thing, but something to be fully aware of. If the intention is for it to increase the amount of paperwork done as detective it might be better to always put one Detective subserviant to the other, as an Assistant Detective. 5) A lot of the time it doesn't feel like there is a lot for cargo to do, unsure if adding another tech is necessarily the right thing to do.

Its a terrible law and whoever wrote it should feel bad. You can't actually straight up suicide as an AI, so the 'you must suicide as soon as possibel after turning telecomms off..' well it isn't possible so, you aren't technically breaking your laws by not suiciding. If you want the AI dead why not make it more interesting: "Cyborgs must always kill their master AIs. AIs may attempt to stop them, but may not inflict damage upon the Cyborgs in their attempts to stop them." It'll do the same sodding thing, the AI will die... and makes the round SO much more interesting for all involved.

I don't like the idea of the SSD bot frankly... but understand all the reasons for it. Instead I'd suggest that people SSD for a certain period of time get flagged as SSD on their health / manifest status. (Active/SSD/Deceased etc). This'd also then make it easier to understand that certain people have been SSD for siginficant periods of time, and you'd know "oh all three botanists are SSD... guess we'd better sort that out" - rather than a bot that handles all that. Plus the pathfinding on these bots are notoriously bad.

oh god I was the clown that built the Merry-Go-Honk with PUSEN... This merry go round resulted in 3 perma briggings and my death at the hands of security. AN ADMIN HAS DELAYED THE RESTART.

Basically I was hijack antag clown... I wrote myself a little note as if I was a Clown Planet Ambassador and proceeded to try to get all access (As is only appropriate...) HoP asked me to wait, got the CE to weld the firelock, then start spamming his flash on me.... because I asked for all access. Totes approps. Alex Rockwall decided I must be an antag 15 mins in, and decided he'd chuck my ID into the hallway, as HoS or Captain, I forget which, I think HoS. The greytide rallied behind the clown due to the obvious injustice the clown was serving. One of the new tide who weren't witness showed up and stole it in the end... Alex then spent the rest of the shift brigging me for not having an ID or being upset that I didn't have an ID. He was getting fired. To steal the Clowns ID and throw it. Clown then started climbing over the desk to honk the HoS in person for that slight. See previous answer. Demotion. Who knows what Greys are thinking... A member of sec who was chanting ClownLivesMatter Antag hop doesn't recognise syndicate greeting words. Also denies Clown all Access... it kinda spiraled.
-
As the clown on the desk in that... more like... when the clown incites a riot because he wasn't given all access.

+1 Would make it easier to draft milittia too... Warden supplies the cadets.

Could get the info via mindreading too. I like the idea.

So I was just in a round where I got spawned in as a Plasmaman Wiznerd. Couldn't cast anything, even with no clothes. Figured if I was quick I could swap my clothes to wizards to cast no clothes and stuff, did, but still couldn't cast it. Eventually I got deleted by the admin online. They still didn't say anything. Just deleted me. Ignored my ahelps. Ignoring the salt I feel for that... can we get a minor quality of life change for Plasmamen who get assigned wizards. They get automatically made human.

I quite like the idea of the entering from cryodorms... not so sure about the gateway thing though.

There are three in Engineering, one in Assembly line and an Advanced one in CE office. So many people don't know about the ones in Engineering I think... I don't like the idea of adding the welding stuff to the Plasmaman suit, I think that is quite a buff to suddenly never need to get goggles... But yeah, Plasmaman Engineers should have Tesla immunity.

More reasons for me to do surgery as a surgeon, yes please!

How are the maps built? Is there a separate application for doing so? Or is it done on a live server in which you 'save-state' or something to serialize everything? Again - really - interested in working on this.... and Necaladun is 100% correct that you don't want it designed by the community to an extent. You want a small-ish team working on it, with a singular vision, that once a lot of the layout work is done, then it is shown to everyone else. It would be good to get a wishlist going of things that people see as essential, nice to have etc... If I wasn't on a train, I'd get another Google Form setup to amalgamate submissions.
-
I would be really quite up for exploring getting a team together to work on a brand new map. Difficult and will take ages, but I think it'd be a better solution that all this time and effort reshaping the square peg of metastation to fit the round hole of Paracode.

[Karma shop suggestion]Price swap for kidan and plasma man
Purpose2 replied to Mister Mann's topic in Suggestions
Eh, I've been playing since march/april, and I have it... so it isn't really 'community oldfarts'..... My reasoning for it is similar to others on it, NT is a human founded corporation, it makes entirely logical sense that humans are the dominant force there. It isn't meant to be elitist at all, its more me thinking of it the other way, not 'don't reduce my plasmaz!' - its more 'lets increase everything else?' -

Due to Plasma's lore, I quite like the idea that Plasmamen are rather rare, and remain at the expensive cost. -
While I agree I'd really like for some more interesting objectives and therefore rounds... you seem to want to take everything to murder, and thats what (I'd assume) the admins are wanting to avoid if they can. An objective I try to set myself during traitor rounds is 'aid your colleagues as best you can with their objectives'... To see how many people we can get to greentext at the end, with myself being lower priority - I mean if I can do my own as well, great.... I'd be interesting to have a traitor or two popped in with similar actual objectives - 'You are a sleeper cell agent. You have been activated. There are many other Syndicate sent aboard this shift, your role is to identify and support their tasks." Or say a traitor was rather unrobust and got caught early, add a few of the existing traitors the objective to spring them from Perma. Force assign traitor to a sec officer. (super rare occurance). Or how about 'take photos of the Secure Armoury and detail its contents and fax these to the Syndicate' - which upon completion would give the Admins the ability to then draw an infiltration team together with the objective of stealing everything in the vault and disappearing - without killing anyone or even getting caught. Maybe more of an event idea, task a chaplain with holding a sermon with as high attendance as possible. Then assuming the Chaplain RPs successfully and convinces a high enough attendance, reward them by triggering them into a super being of some sort, and the attendees as skeletons or some sort of lesser creature, and have them then suddenly attempt to take over the station in a surprise... Just some ideas for both sides.
