  1. Thirst still could be fine addition. And some text appearing when you take a shower would be fun too. That would still add a bit of immersion without making it mandatory.
  2. I think part of the reason they got ditched was because people kept using them as an excuse to get extra access when they probably shouldn't be doing. They're alright in principle and are cool and all but unless we get departmental checkpoints they're kinda pointless. Thats just an accessory. We also can give departmental armbands to respective departments members. Security meanwhile will get red armband for members, who dont like to wear standart issue uniform on duty. Departmental access have no sense without checkpoints. Animus and Yog have them but we dont. And to add proper checkpoint you need to make brand new map whic would be designed with checkpoint system in mind.
  3. Armbands themselves are not new and still present in code - could someone reimplement them for security inside security wardrobe? They look pretty cool.
  4. I think event with refugees need more types of them and some nasty surprises. There could be surving police/security among them, traitors on the run, people ill with some nasty virus, some rich guy e.t.c. And event with inmates will be better if there is only one inmate. But unusual and very dangerous one. Maybe even with some antag abilities. So security need to make serious effort to keep him in line. One of the current traitors meanwhile could get an objective to break free that inmate and help him escape from station.
  5. Holobadge on your jumpsuit - good way to identify your burned/husked/rotten body found in the maints. And warden beret is actually cool. And I think police hat fits patroling secs more then warden, who sits in brig all the time.
  6. Because wardens rarely wear police hats - maybe give out such to usual officers? As well as give them police style jackets for green code instead of vests. That would be cool.
  7. Combine 2 and 4 variants together. You can choose to show/hide holobadge on your vest as you want. That would be the best for customisation of your character. And gestapo-like uniforms would be fun as well.
  8. That vest look much better. But I still think the golden badge fit detective more. Make the vest green like current one and you will got perfect replacement for detective vest. Security should have holobadge. And could you make a vest for brig physician? While still non-combatant he could use armoured vest on blue or red codes. Because you still need to replenish your medicine supply and it would be mush easier to escape from angry revs with weapons if you have at least vest.
  9. If someone died just resently - there is a chance that murderer is still somewhere nearby. Or still havenot used looted access. Which would allow to warn the rest of secs and catch the bugger while its still hot. And while I carry a set of equipment bigger than usuall - its most of the time helps a lot than not. I played security alot and know what I need. However I should ditch that damn grenade. I dont need it anyway. And unnerfing at least belt would be enought. Just for zipties. Webbings are useful but I still can live without them. But maybe just allow to order them like on bay? A crate with a set of random webbings.
  10. Health scanner can tell you the exact time of someone's death. Useful if you find the body and there is no detective. And even if there is one - its always useful to know of the poor guy could be revived or not. Criminals also like to band together. So spare handcuffs always have use. At least you can buckle guys to chairs and request someone to help you with them. Its not always an option to withdrawn, ask for help and engage together. And flashes just random things. One can last for whole shift or burn out after first use.
  11. Secs is not walking armoury anyway. Energy weapons prevents that hard. Taser is the "worst" with that. Several shots and you are empty. And police tape is used often actually. So I can't understand why you penalized here for carrying more than one pair of handcuffs while other servers dont bother about that at all. Both High and Low RP ones. And while I saw servers without webbings nobody else made security belt look so miserable. 5 slots is just to smal capacity. And by your logic only paramedic and brig phys should have medical belts. Nerfed hard. Because doctor is not a walking medbay. Medical belt filled with pill bottles can hold A LOT of medicine without problems. But nobody would do that "nerf" obviously, isnt it?
  12. I often use both duffelbags as brig phys. One for storing all the medicine just on the table. Second one for surgery tools and bloodpacks. Very convinient. If the things go hot and brig is lost, I can dissembly my sleeper, grab both bags and drag roller bed with me to safer place. Escape wing for example.
  13. 2 flashes, pepper spray, baton, handcuffs, 2 zipties, 1 flashbang, taser, at least one flare, walkie talkie, crowbar and wirecutters for removing barricades/grilles, screwdriver, health analyzer, box of evidence bags, security gasmask, some food, some drink, NV HUD if I managed to get one from science. And there is also need in free space in case of big evidence found. So extra space for quick assess is always welcomed. And Most of the tools have value only when quick accessed without swaping hands. Unnerf of at least belt is needed, so secs can at least comfortably carry more then one handcuffs while still having spare flash and spray. That tools need actual use in game after all. Because now most of officers just ditch flash and spray all together in favour of zipties. They just have no use so we can just remove them from code. Well, flashs should still stay as anti-borg or anti-shadowling thingy.
  14. Why we need to punish storage space anyway? If tasers and batons needing recharge is not enough - remove handcuffs from vendors as well, so officers will be forced to use zipties all the time. Warden would just have a spare box in the armoury. And pepperspray just dont last for long anyway and flashes can burn out. Secs is already tied to brig like on any other server. And for medical kits you need to visit cargo/medbay and bug them. Or loot the brigbay which is wrong. Thats infuriating sometimes when officers steal your scarce supply of medicine. Maybe change access on brig physician locker so officer could not unlock it and steal your stuff?
  15. Most of secs use disposable zipties they need to replenish constantly. Tasers and batons needs recharge as well. You need to return to brig often anyway. And other servers have no issues with officers of that kind anyway. They have storage space and they still return to base often. And webbing is more a place for walkie-talkie, crowbar and other small utility rather than full toolbox. You can find toolbelt anyway. So I still cant undertstand why security is so "hated" here. We are not even High-RP like bay where thats no a problem. UPD. And well nerf would not stop people from being walking armouries anyway. They just steal boxes from cargo.
  16. Because lots of people whining about flashbang abuse by secs - security inventory was nerfed really hard. No webbings, no big belts. And no webbings for engineers as well. Which is actually to hard. You just force to either store your things in backpack or ditch situationaly useful pepper spray for additional zipties. While grenadiers just start to use cardoard boxes to store the same amount of flashbangs. So how about returning security inventory space back but nerfing amount of flashbang availible? Remove them from vendors, so you could only ask warden for one. Make SOP rule which forbids issuing more than one grenade in one hands. Just forbid to keep grenades inside belts and webbings - its not safe or just cant fit inside. Because that is not justice that all of security suffer because of some frag throwing happy guys.
  17. Hello guys and there is new crasy idea from me. Hardly anyone will argue that sitting in perma is basically no better(and maybe even worser) than death sentence because you have nothing to do and totally isolated from the rest of the station. The only feedback from you to the rest of the station is the Full-on sensors of your suit. Which are not always checked regulary. So if there is something bad happening to you(your cell mate found out to be a changeling and trying to eat you, spess carp breaking the window e.t.c) you cant even cry for help. Because you cant have a personal belongings and means of communications in perma. So how about making a special prisoner PDA with very limited functions? You cant insert cartridge inside and can only PDA brig physician, warden and IAA - people who must check out you, prisoner, anyway. Some kind of special headset/intercom would be good as well. Which would be connected with brigbay and warden office with single channel.
  18. Maybe some tips for brig physician? :-0
  19. You mean flak jackets, designed to protect from sharpnel, frags and occasional buckshot blasts? Because the only bodyarmour of WW2 effective against actual bullets (handgun ones) was steel cuirass used by soviet assault troops. The actual bulletproof vest was invented much later. But anyway they look cool and it would be good to have such alternative. Bomb suit from armory is never used anyway.
  20. Current vests are just fine for civilian HoP and bartender. They are not meant for combat. However it would be even better to make new blue colored civilian vest. So everyone will see that its a civilian not and officer or soldier. And I think reporter need his own PRESS vest much more than bartender who have a shotgun(which is not meant to be carried outside the bar) and reinforced tables serving as convinient barricades. You vest looks nice, but badge should be holo one just like ones in warden locker. It would also be nice to have possibility to hide that badge like on bay server. And maybe make it a bit less "flat"? Some small pockets for ceramic plates. I would personally like to see some casual looking uniform for security, detective and brig physician. T-shirt and cargo pants, maybe hoody(with hood up and down) and cargo pants. So you could uphold the law while feeling comfortable. Would also agree with people above. We lost the webbings, so some kind of vest with SECURITY on the back would be nice.

    Exoskeleton

Well Harduits were OP because of modules and problems with taking them off, okay. But whats OP in just ability to lift and carry around heavy things? Exosuits would not have any modules at all. Just servomotors to allow wearer carry things above human strength.

    Exoskeleton

Well, we have minimechas (mostly for combat unfortunately), we have a great variety of space suits, we have powered armour RIGs for adminbus(because they OP and nobody willing to recode them) but what about plain exoskeletons? Which could be worn in exosuit slot(and maybe with power pack on the back) which could provide wearer additional strength. Just imagine cargo tech wearing something like this He could carry one or two crates full of metal in his hands. While engineers could carry air tanks, emitters and other heavy equipment with it. And with some science work that suits would probably even carry and use mechs weapons. Using both hands and lacking speed and space protection. Armoured version for security could exist but they will be very slow and cumbersome, forcing wearer to walk only and pray that there would be no enemy with EMP weaponry. Because without power one will be just ordinary weak human wearing extremly heavy suit without ability to even move.
  23. Thats not the bug if you used trauma kit successfuly. It message for you, so you could be sure that operation is going fine now. Its look a bit strange with normal equipment for sure, but trauma kit is not the only thing for threating internal organs. That cloth bandages from medical vendor could be used for that too but chance of success is lower than 100%
  24. Customs loadouts? Yes. Better disabilites and perks? Yes. It would be good. We have myopia(shortsightness) now, but we can also make and opposite farsightness. It would also be interesting to implement asthma, diabetes and other things.
  25. But what if the character have problem with speech and someone just show it this way?
