Isn't that what the interrogation room is for? You know, questioning people. Interrogating them. Sometimes you have more then ONE people at the time. Like having a group of greytiders caught. You can't fit them all at once in one tiny interrogation room and brig lacks temporary detainment now(but who used it anyway with big security office?). Interrogation room is more for interrogating someone in private.

New brig is good, but I think it would be better to split processing room in to halves. One where you interrogate/question people and the second one where you are actually process people: search them, strip them of rigs and other equipment.

I think splint would reduce chance of pain and initiate very slow recovery of bones. But if you use splinted limb often it would eventually fall of, causing great pain. On TC we actually have sprites for bandaged people. Looks cool, especialy when you have bandged all of your body. And you can later remove bandages after recovery using wirecutters.

We have fanny pack for any small things. I see no need in makeshift belt. And toolbelt is already the most widely used belt. And saddly we have stungloves removed. Miss them from TC gameplay.

Gause finally have some use. However its no longer worser version of trauma kit anymore like oinment is worser version of burn kit. Maybe add some use for oinment as well?

Because we have one already in code. But its blueprint require silver and Protolathe with some research. Only scientist can craft one. But why they need to craft one? Traitor scientist can get much better weapon with less complications.

So why do we have riot armor in secure armory? just for the looks? Riot armour can protect against spess carps, armblades, tators with e-swords, rogue golems, potentialy aliens and spiders. Anything using melee. I have nothing against new things but such things should not be especialy designed for greytiding. So no greytider belts and self-made bowman. Just no. Porting fuel-powered blunderbass from goons, butterfly knife, fixing crossbow would be fine.

Officers who did that would have Internal affairs come down on them like a tonne of bricks, HoS and command too. "death in custody" should probably be added as mitigating factor to space law. There is manslaughter already. But we can probably add "excessive force" law for security members using unadequate means to subdue criminals. Like tazing people on sight during Green or repeatedly batoning people when you can use flash or spray. Beating people who submit or surrender wilingly as well. And Manslaughter/Murder laws could have "unauthorised use of lethal force" modifier - officers will be punished more severe for that crimes.

We also might have stand-alone tasers like CM have in code. We could put them into armoury while hybrid tasers would be research weapon. Cargo also still could order them. And I think it would be better to increase heart attack chance when you tase people who is already have stun from electrode to prevent abuse of tasers in such manner. If you want to keep people down - use baton, pepperspray, flash. Would be neat if flash while still not droping people will keep them down if they are flashed while already stunned by other means. Batons could use different work in different intents. Not only harmless stun Help and shitcurity Harm. Well like prode people with baton, hit with baton lightly and robust people with full force.

Antags are good as they are. We don't need crowds of greyshirts who start to self-antag and cause mass riots making things worse. And the gear you suggest are designed especialy for greytiders. I have nothing against more craftable weapons like Goons have. But such weapons should not be too easy to get.

Heart attacks would add a bit of realism. And such chance must be increased for people with assisted heart. I think nerfing tasers this way would be better. IRL police can't use tasers unless its necessary. And they obviously can't shoot kids/old people with them. I can even see some situations with antags - undiscovered changeling zapped by taser, changeling fake his death, officer get bwoinked by HoS for accidental murder.

Better allow to tear clothes into cloth with wirecutters and use it to wrap wounds. And we DON"T need special gear for greytiding shittery.

The only good thing in Goon economics - cargo works for money not meaningless points. And QM actually trade with traders, sell them station shit and buy artefacts and other rare stuff.

Security is nerfed already. Its have nerfed belt and no webbing for example. No need to nerf security more. Honestly security could use some buff but not codewise - rulewise. So much greyshirts like to mock and irritate security and players who play them. They know perfectly that OOC wise they could not be repayed with same treatment in exchange. And its just too long to write a complaint on forum. So shitters could annoy secs as hell unpunished. While IRL police can beat the shit out of you if you annoy them enough.

Some other builds like bay have second slot and equipment locker(including second gun) for detective. While Tau Ceti have Forensic Tech as additional job designed to help detective(code wise its nerfed detective for newbies/xeno players who are not allowed to pick detective due to char race). Maybe we should add second detective/forensic tech and allow detective to be traitor? As well as security members EXCEPT HoS who would never be antagonist. Security members however would just have low priority for antags and there would be quota of one - only one member of security regardless of rank could be antag at the time, traitor or not. Making objective depend from job would be extremely AWESOME and deserve its own thread. I would honestly enjoy to play as lawful evil warden who had enough shit from stupid and ignorant crewmembers and start to make his own gulag out of permabrig. And eventually overthrow the station command for the glory of Syndicate.

I actually kinda like the hailer... It's a great way to hear them coming If someone abuse synthetic laws and just play badly - adminhelp it. Its problem of the players not the borgs. And yeah, hailer is fun thing. Thats why I want it to be more convinient to use. Quick button would be much better then what we have now. You have to keep hailer in one of your slots, which increase your power consumption. And switching modules for borg is also much less weldy then manipulating your things as fleshy officer.

Secborgs are fine. The problem is how most people play them. I think it would be neat to allow to set different laws to borg according to their type using upload console. However I see nothing against reworking their equipment to be less agressive. Replace disabler with bolas launcher(eating power a lot), stunbaton with telescopic one. Sec borg should have pepper spray. And seborgs are not more effective then officers. They are damn slow, they consume charge insanely fast, flashes stunlock them, emp stunlock them as well as deal damage. Borgs have serious problems with persuing someone going EVA.

Considering that borgs are damn slow and that they are programmed robots - its obvious that criminal could not expect long conversation with borg. Borg just not designed for that. Security borg by its nature is designed as force responder for security(as well as door opener). Its designed to respond with force on obvious criminals. Crimesolving is for detective and smarter-then-average officers. Suspect interrogation and brigging is for warden. Security borg is not supposed to do such things. But I still do not argue that secborgs ould be attractive for bad players just because of that. By the way, could we remove hailer as item from sec borg and make it innate verblike ability working similar to security gasmask but with different set of lines? Because its just to unweldy to use now.

Considering that Head of Personel is in charge of service department - Burger HoP would sound better. And we also know that every good HoP is power greedy bastard. And McHonkles should have statue of clown and doors with clown access as well - clown can get inside too. We also need some kind of donut shop with security motive.

Well, what if it needed another type of ammo and instead of blowing up your hand just did some burn damage? It would be the only weapon to be able to attatch itself to your clothing. Make it like Deringer on Goons. It have only one or two shots of its own ammo you have no means to replenish. You need to buy new loaded pistol-ring.

Yeah, make pigs more valuable for cook. Allow to get bacon and pork fat from pigs to cook cracklings and salo(salted pork fat) Also how about hot drinks cooking? Adding coffee and tea for botany which could be then boiled for different drinks.

Sounds fine for me. Still bumping the thread, considering the recent threads about "security reworking" again. But for some reason people want only SOP reworking into harsher one and nothing more.
