  2. If you want to get into the wh40k universe this is a really good site to learn at, yep. I started BC without knowing anything, and you quickly start to pick up on it
  3. What do you mean fluff, it's a RP game, so it's really up to you, but usually you choose between being humans and space marines, and everyone starts unaligned
  4. What is says on the tin, I'm gathering interest from the paradise community (and anyone outside as well) for a roleplaying game called Black Crusade. For those of you that do not know, black crusade is based on the Warhammer 40k universe, you play as traitors of humanity, as you balance the fine art of your infamy and corruption. I'll be providing some links, as well as a link to the PDF of the rules book, should you be interested. The main difference between black crusade and the famous Dungeons and Dragons is that instead of a d20 system, we use a d100. A quick example, you make a strength test, you have a strength of 40, and you get a +10 modifier. You then roll a 1d100, if the die is 50 or below you pass the test, for every ten you pass the test with you'll gain one degree of success. So if you roll 40, you pass the test with one degree of success. We will be using roll20 to carry out our rolls and chatter, we'll be using text to voice our characters, this is to not make having a mic a requirement, and I've heard that it does open for better RP in some cases, this will be my first time using text instead of voice, so it'll be a fun experiment. Personally I've been playing black crusade with my group of friends for about 2 and a half years, so I know the rules fairly well, this will be my first time GMing though, so be warned that most of us will be beginners, I do however have experience in DMing DnD, so I'm not completely new to the concept. If you have any questions, feel free to post here or shoot me a PM here on in Discord, hopefully we can make something work and get a small campaign together! 5. IPC's are by default extremely poor game design, and not what ss13 is balanced around. There is no easy fix, and what you are proposing isn't just a 5 minute cakewalk of coding. If you want a larger scaled project to redo IPC's you have to take more initiative, this suggestion has come time and time and again, and sitting on your ass whining in big bold red letters doesn't help your position.
  6. My god this is one giant saltpile.
  7. it's not a "wrong" suggestion, you didn't mess up by making it.
  8. Being an antag means that it's your turn to be in the "spotlight", you have something most others don't, that's more than enough incentive to give you karma if you RP well.
  9. nerds
  10. Fucking IPC Nerds REEE
  11. Why? What do they need CLF3, acid, meth, etc for?
  12. What I think we should do is look at the bigger picture, drop the static 50%, I can already tell you it's not going through, lets rather look at what we can do to introduce pain as a whole. Halloss was a thing before, I wasn't particularly a fan of it, but I'd like for us to branch out on a much better pain system For instance, right now a stun baton just stuns you and applies a set amount of time, having a pain system would be more intricate in the way that you'd get X amount of pain, translating to the same effect of a stun baton, perhaps with some added effects like dropping whatever item you're holding etc, so the effect would be the same, but we'd be given more leeway on how we can tackle resistance to it. Having painkillers in you could slow you down, but also make you less affected by tasers, stun batons etc, these are all things we have in game already, but it's not a connected system. For surgery it'd be the same, you would use the patients pain level as a method to determine how difficult the surgery is, if the patient is in squirming pain it's harder to get a clean cut, thus a bigger chance for failure.
  13. make it donator only Kappa
  14. Aren't you contradicting yourself in the same sentence? The salt train needs to stop whenever people doesn't want to buff IPC's as well. You have yet to actually rebute what I said, every example given is vs antags, not vs general machinery and "naturally" occuring EMP's. "I want to not die from an EMP instantly, just make it do 95% damage so I can be in an immobile, helpless state, just not dead" is what I hear. Your compromise to EMP's will not solve the problem when fighting an antag with an EMP weapon, nor will it really do anything against naturally occuring EMP's, you're focusing on the wrong thing, and just going in circles, throwing jabs at people. The salt argument fails when you yourself get mad and salty.
  15. Perhaps I missed it, but I don't see anywhere where you say that's the reason, until now. All examples used are VS antags, and all I see is "antags kill this and antag kill that", and if you're at 95% dead, won't you be pretty much out of the round anyways?
  16. I don't understand how'd being put in 95% crit would help you in any way. One clicks or two clicks, it doesn't fix the problem you're portraying. The change you are asking for won't fix what you're trying to fix.
  17. P I N
  18. Remove slimes as a starting race Fully implement this Server implodes from the amount of salt generated from slime ERPers
  19. Seems good on my end
  20. AHHHH Then I understand! Thank you, I'll go over it soon if nobody else takes up on it.
  21. You didn't answer my question from the last thread though, is there a reason you're not doing it yourself? Again, not trying to be rude or anything.
  22. I'll change the lore so I'm never wrong mwahahahah
  23. I like the idea of nuke-ops being all human, adds to the effect of the syndicate being a human organisation to bring down Nanotrasen, a human Organization
