It's the security records machines that allow you change people to arrest. There are quite a few around.

That's... Spoopy. 2. -
So far I've killed 3 IPCs with EMPs... That's how many I can recall, there may be a fourth...
-
The trouble seems to be primarily with EMPs... IPCs are made up of mechanical limbs to my knowledge, and EMPs really mess those over. The coding would be based around those two things. Depending on how it's coded (Whether the EMP applies burn damage to the limb or destroys it) will determine how much work that this specific problem would take to fix. If it applies damage to limbs it could be as simple as changing the values. If it instantly kills all the parts of an IPC... That's going to need to be recoded to instead apply damage to mechanical parts.

I think if they've gotten to the body and you're on the floor dying in crit that's... About it.... Maybe EMPs shouldn't kill you in one shot then... >.> I just think it's nice of you to make it so I don't have to pull out the boom station damaging grenades. Heyyy, I haven't been salty at all!

Oh, HoS. I somehow thought we were talking about a HoP... But anyway, if you're not in your office and you're a fleshy humanoid, then they may as well just bioterror you or instant KO you with some drug...
-
I mean, once again, they need to break into your office and drag your dead body away... As they do with a human. IPCs don't teleport into space upon death unless that's been patched in?
-
Malpracticebay exists. Organics understand your pain, being blind and suffering from brain damage while everyone is busy sawing off limbs by accident... Can you get diseases or bleed out? Do poisons work on you?
-
Do IPCs have organs and bones and smushy bits? I know their hands break... You just kinda... Shove legs back on. The same goes for heads. Unless someone EMPs you while in space, they're going to have about the same difficulty as someone who has a non-IPC target. They still need to get your body, they still need to space you... The through walls bit is the only really sketchy thing I see here.
-
But you can revive IPCs by just kinda slapping wires at them and maybe whacking them over the head with a lit welding torch... Playing an IPC comes with the sudden EMP deaths, that's half the fun. In return, you don't need oxygen.

Fixable. I don't fully understand why assistants need maint... Not that CM is an amazing role model, but really only engis were allowed in on one of the last maps.

This is the same reasoning used by a particular group which argues that a particular larger group are unintentionally, uncontrollably and unknowningly bigoted based on past experiences... Arguing with the chain of command is a surefire way to get your ass demoted though. If it was meta-grudging, that's another matter. It's worth noting that one of the few things you do carry through rounds with you is relationships, and if the same medical staff are being rude/unhelpful towards the CMO then... Well, they're getting demoted, if not brigged, for negligence and going against the chain of command and insubordination and so on... *I don't remember the fine details of space law and each and every brig offence, skree. I generally have THE LAW book when I need it.* Context is very important.

Mapping isn't incredibly hard. More positions would be cool. It could be interesting have a proper little chapel, 2 more chaplain-like roles that have different purposes? Making Librarian and Reporter different jobs... There are more ideas out there, but they'd require more coding.

*The Chaplain's God vs CC.*
-
The NT rep commands a force greater than even the Chaplain's god, CC. The power they have is very much there, but it has to be used correctly, lest CC turn the BSA you ordered on you, to cut down on fax expenses and the cost of hiring those darned CC hotline agents. More seriously, the NT rep has boatloads of power. Bridge access is just... Phew... You have your own office, you're essentially another head, but without a department to command. Arguably more powerful than the captain. You're like an IAA++

Playing SS13... Talks about reward... The only thing we really have that carry through rounds are karma and relationships, which is fine, but if you leave, all your friends are going to vanish and no one is going to remember you. There's hardly an incentive to play harder or try better other than Karma, and you don't really get that by doing good, you get it by... Being cool.

Play a Vulpie! Join the clique. Gecker!

I imagine that squishing is the slime person's Vulpkanin go floof. This, as a weapon, doesn't seem incredible damaging. The hand teleporter is somewhat scarier, if you can get into melee range, that is.
-
As far as I'm aware, Lich wizards lose if they die and don't have an apprentice... I've been alive and the round has ended because I died before. Not sure if this has been resolved, this happened a very long time ago. I don't particularly like demons, and I think they're incentivised enough by being just horrific to deal with...

Cluwneops. Cluwne'sie/Honkmother. Bannanium nuclear weaponry. Cluwnitis. Cluwne ERT. Cluwne abductors. The Cluwne Clan. Revecluwneries. Cluwneomancers. Cluwnelings. Clunwnecomm. Obviously they're all pitifully ineffective, but imagine the horror...

We have that. It's called getting retrovirus with someone playing a Vulpkanin-wolf. Do we actually have wolves? What are Wolpins FOR, if not dodgy hidden sekrit spess government experiments? I love this idea. Not sure about the mechanics of it, but werewolves would be awesome. Obviously needs to tear clothes so we people think we have an influx of nudists while security are running around screaming.

I'm of the opinion that we should boycott all real jobs for a shift and let natural selection work it all out... .
