I thought Labor camp was slated for removal or improved.

Ohh I get it. I thought you were talking about the medical hud. Yeah that would be a neat feature to add. Basically as long as the Borgs intent is set to help and is a medical borg, you can scan people's health. I like it.

I don't see how this is a job ban worthy offense..I'm looking at the server rules, SoP, and Space Law. If it really is a job ban worthy offense, then it should be mentioned somewhere in one of those three. Otherwise that's just a failure in at the administration level. (An oversight of some kind)

Move the welding goggles from the abandoned assembly line

Would is be better if the welding goggles was a random maintenance loot item? -

Many people may not know this, but tool belts (even security belts) can be easily made with biomass (Can be found at the Garden, Hydroponics, and I think the Research Outpost) -
This has conflicts when building a TEG. At least in my perspective, it seems that way.

So I'm thinking about looking into some stuff to make Atmospheric Tech/Life Support Specialist, more interesting. That and because I want to expand my own fun on the job, because I pretty much getting bored..jk... If you have any suggestion, I would like to hear from you. Hit me up on discord if you want to have a chat about some stuff we can look at or here. Brief Summary: Atmospherics can be run autonomously the entire shift and I kinda prefer it that way. In addition, it can be improved upon depend on who is setting it up that shift. Of course even the autonomous stuff can be improved to expand on the players imagination, but I won't go any farther that that. Another thing is that I want Atmos Tech known as a valuable member of the station, because right now I see Station Engineers replacing Atmos Techs jobs and assignment that they both can be practically merged into one. I would like to improve the split difference mechanically without ruining any fun in general roleplay. So if I don't procrastinate this is what I want to do: Things I can work on: Map Changes and Job items/access Engines - TEG/Turbine Re-textures and snowflake Items (like new uniform or hats...everyone likes hats.) Pipes and Disposals Atmospheric SoP - https://nanotrasen.se/forum/topic/10010-standard-operating-procedure-update/ Better defining the role and other definition. Things I would need help with: Fucking LINDA - not literal Computer relate stuff (Atmos Alarms or Consoles, etc) Adding new features - I'm not at that level of coding yet Things I won't do: Making Atmospherics easier - I want it to be fun and interesting. If we just make it easier then there won't be any need for atmospheric techs. Rapid Pipe Dispenser..no no and no. I don't want to see this. (Unless you give me good reason)

Here you see a admin turning down someone by antagonizing the OP's suggestion without putting forth anything useful to the table. edit: Whether it was intentional as a joke because you guys know each other. I won't know. Other than that. I think there should be something done about that glowing fungus that spreads. It's pretty spammy.

@Deanthelis That's too much snowflaking for sending a simple message to the admin. The only thing that should be required is grammar/spelling, sign and stamp. In addition to making sure your letter is well documented of issues and not a demand for something. Request are accepted.
-
I'm against any job with shared departments. Who the hell wants to be under two or more bosses? Let's keep it simple and state that in the SoP.
-
About every round, more than half the engineers won't follow SoP either. Many know they can get away of being fired and would only take the job for the tools, access, and hardsuit to mess around. I can't really mentions all the reasons why, but they will fully disregard SoP.
-
@ZN23X I tend to do that the more and more the person wants to be a little shit and try to test my patience. @Nethlafin Nope. The best part of knowing SoP and Space Law etc, is that you can do this without having an admin bwoinking you if you are smart enough. Unless the shitter salts to the admins.
-
Maybe define the SoP search to only allow the search of Backpack, Pockets and Suit Storage only? That can expand of course. You can have it so other searches can be done if there is probably cause. etc etc.

There are things beyond a player's control, it doesn't make them incompetent. It doesn't make your job harder, it just means you reach the capabilities of what you can do. It's not medical's job to save everyone, but to try there best to save them.

Well most player who fax the syndicate (admin) do it to get the hijack objective. I don't really have to explain the reason, but in short, they want to murderbone.
-
It'll be nice to see objectives complete in real time. Every antag (for traitor rounds mostly) starts with a primary objective such as hijack or whatever and optional objectives that auto-magically generates a new objective for each one you complete in real time. You are reward TC for each optional objective complete and can go on and on, but failing an optional objective doesn't penalize you for not completing it. Only the Primary Objective is what you need to complete. It'll keep the chaos going for the entire round =D.

Does it have to be a minimum of three laws? Why not 1 or 2?

I have to disagree that paranoia and fear is tied to the ability to be easily revived from cloning or dying in a sense. Its more of what SS13 in general of what it is. Everyone already knows that there is going to be chaos in almost every round. I would try to backup this claim when playing as a security officer almost many times in a row. A lot of players who play sec have no chill and are always looking to find out who the antags are. The "I'm going to maintenance, If I scream then I'm probably dead" is the most annoying shit and very cringy to see on chat. They are basically not afraid to wander around maintenance just to die pretty much. Now the debate on whether or not removing cloning would make a difference on player mentality is something no one can predict. All we can do is assume unless its already been done before. Its the matter on how we change the awareness of how the game treats death that will affect the way the game is played.
-
I was waiting for someone to say this. edit: although now that I think about it. Removing cloning and making it something that requires to be build mid-round doesn't seem like a bad idea. Nothing would really change. It'll just be something medical could benefit from instead of being reliant.

This is a reference to one of the bans that happened recently https://nanotrasen.se/forum/topic/9858-vpn-ban-request-for-use/ Since its not against to rules to use VPN and it seems a bit harsh to just autoban people for using VPN...why not just set it to autokick people instead? I don't see the point of autoban if autokicking players from the server is just as effective. Edit: I realize that its only 10 minutes but...damn...that's still a bit much

It'll be nice if it worked the same way how the slime cameras work. The user interface can have buttons that allow you to jump to certain areas of the map or z-levels for outpost and stuff.

I don't understand how this is a balance issue. The weapon has its pro and cons and one being that it requires magazines to reload. You'll have to obtain more from some source the same way you have to recharge your weapon from a source. I don't see an issue of officers 'standing and fighting'. I actually see that as a good thing. I don't see how Nuke Ops would be any different and Wizard rounds only last for 30 minutes so I fail to see an argument there. As for the EMP issue, I can see how that is a problem.
-
Honestly, It'll be a nice change of pace of seeing these in game instead of having to run to the nearest charger to...charge your weapon. If this gets added in, then it'll be pretty cool to see security officer reloading there weapons in a middle of combat, etc.
-
That is actually not a bad idea and would seem much easier to implement. IPC repair already does this when you use a screwdriver. Maybe something like holding the scanner on one hand the a scalpel on the other. The same way when you cauterize a wound.
