  1. The main purpose of karma is to limit karma heavy jobs and jobs that are really influential from new players. Some, like mechanic and sec pod pilot do not meet these requirements. I feel their costs should be lowered so they are prohibiting people from experiencing a normal job.
  2. I laughed harder at that than I care to admit
  3. I boot up my new copy of Witcher 2. Check graphical settings. Set to low. "What a weird default" I thought to myself. I press autodetect. Low settings. I scoff. The game clearly underestimates the power of my shrine. This battlestation was built to withstand anything! But a small voice in the back of my head thinks that maybe the game is trying to tell me something. So I change settings to high instead of ultra high. Launch game. Start tutorial. Sweet mother of god, it is beautiful. The most gorgeous game I have ever seen. The frame rate is dropping slightly so I concede and turn it back to medium. The game is still sooo amazing. I want it inside me. CD projekt red is love. CD projekt red is life.
  4. It doesn't work. It really doesn't. No one knows how to play it. It just ends up being the loyalists trying to work around the MOUNTAIN of neutral self-antaging assholes running around breaking things. They think directive X is some kind of death order. It's annoying.
  5. I agree that there is a lot of room for abuse in the magistrate sector, and the pricing on that is fine. However NT Rep can't abuse much. CentCom usually either ignores it, or takes their advice with a grain of salt. And you can sure as hell no one on station listens to them.
  6. This is NOT my idea, this was something the admins are already doing. They mentioned putting in lots of new jobs and phasing out assistants all together. They mentioned: Traders, laborers, and colonists. But not much info was given. I want some juicy details admins! What will they do? How many people will the slot hold? Where will they operate out of? How kewl will it be?
  7. I think it would be cool if there was a suit that protected people and their gear from EMP blasts. This would be especially useful for IPC units. Perhaps it could just be another feature of the rad suit, as it (correct me if I am wrong) uses lead plates to protect the user, which could protect from EMPs.
  8. This is a brilliant idea!
  9. Perhaps more ways to earn it would suffice
  10. Same boat
  11. Wow, CentCom was rather forth coming with that info. I am really glad none of that was redacted, it was a great read.
  12. Yes! This is my biggest complaint. If you ask people the best way to get karma, the number one response is, "Robust some antags." This contributes to a lot of the bad behavior as people strive to be more robust. It contributes to clowns who think that dragging the captain over a banana peel for five minutes is funny. It contributes to chefs who think that their job is to create the most fried stuff instead of real food. A good example of the system working as intended. So many players play a CE who does about 4.3 jackshits. So when a good one comes along he will get showered with karma, rewarding better CE players. However the point of over inflation still stands. You have been playing for six months and you have only 21 karma. Not even enough to play a customs officer.
  13. I totally get that, but for people who don't traditionally play jobs like that (i.e. medical) it is so much harder. Not all of us have time to play several rounds everyday playing as robust super surgeons fighting syndicates with one hand and saving cancer ridden orphans with another.
  14. The karma system, in my opinion, needs an overhaul. Most items are way overpriced. The current full load of all karma jobs is 510 karma. A player would be lucky to get more than 5 karma in a whole week. I very seriously doubt any player has earned that much karma. To put it simply it takes too long to get karma. By the time you save up the absurd amount to get the job you want (which often takes months) the job is no longer relevant. It has been circumvented, nerfed, replaced, or otherwise altered to not be the job you initially wanted. Some other more expensive job is now what you were looking for in the first one, and you have to work for another month. I understand the purpose of the Karma system, it is to reward good players, but it has changed. It isn't about that anymore. It has become a way to separate those who have been playing robustly for years, from the rest of us. Those are skilled in the combat system are the ones who get the karma. The ones who go out of their way to bust antags. Not good RPers. It has just become a way to separate the community and block off major game play elements from the majority of players. It needs to be looked at again.

  16. It's unfair, but it isn't like they are gonna fight for one. So it doesn't make much sense to take one away.
  17. Care to give some tips and tricks?
  18. Ya, but there aren't as many diehard dionna or slimeperson players
  19. Whenever you have an idea please post it here. In the mean time I will keep fighting the good fight, and spreading the word of the IPC Labor Party.
  20. Cool, let us know when this happens
  21. You're a mod right scrat?
  22. I can understand this sentiment, but I don't necessarily agree. The NanoTrasen Rep looks out for corporate interests, whereas the captain may be loyal, but he might not always be doing what the board wishes. A fax machine in the captain's office allows him to communicate with NanoTrasen on his goings on, but yet still the Rep will more than likely report completely different matters, or at least in a different light, not to mention that there are times when Central Command gives the Rep special obligations to act on. Not only that, but if the captain wanted, he can just go into the rep's or IAA's office and send correspondence if there wasn't one in his own. If anything it's a convenience thing. Never, not once, have I ever, seen a captain or other head listen to the rep.
  23. Guys guys, I know what we need to do. Everyone in this thread needs to set up a time we can all be online. We all go into the game as IPC's. Then we hold a strike until we are given the rights we deserve!
  24. I also don't think they do custom sprites for donators.
  25. It seems a little unfair that every race gets an embassy except IPC's.
