  1. I looked at your reply and was confused. I see why. Purpose and I are on the same page, the "AntagLites" would be extra slots, not something that replaces antags as they currently are. We had discussed it several times before, I just am taken by surprise that he did something about it heh.
  2. Table crafting can detect what devices are nearby, and it's possible to also take advantage of the upgrades. It's entirely possible to have the machines light up while you are activating a recipe. That said, I know that table crafting would take considerably more effort.
  3. Sounds like a great opportunity to get rid of the edge cases from the server for good. Give em an inch, they take a mile, ban.
  4. Two ideas to handle this, mutually exclusive. Throw ingredients in the grill, and it displays the list of possibilities you could cook as well as what they will consume. This feels like the most "correct" way to do it. Convert food to table crafting. Less moving things around, but downside is food would be a HUGE list of things. I'd also like to see food be able to be cooked on bonfires. For that "wild man" experience on a futuristic space station.
  5. Simple. Server rules have a miscreants section.
  6. I've said it before, I'll say it again: We do need some "AntagLite" as shadey aptly named them, but in ADDITION to existing antags already in the round. Hear me out. So basically, I would like to see a lot more objectives for people everywhere across the station. Minor little things, much like science has. Stepping up above that, we could have AntagLites, which are RP antags. Drug cartels, kleptomaniacs, sociopaths. These are ones given leeway with some of the rules, but are not murderantags. Then you have the existing antags already implemented from syndicate. AntagLites would be an opt in.
  7. I do believe demons should be powerful. I very much agree with this. However, bloodcrawling into a group then leaving almost immediately after a couple smacks is a tad overkill, leaving little risk to the demon. I'd love to see a 5 or 10 second reactivation delay.
  8. Depends, shadey. If these are remotely controllable, they would be aptly called contactors due to their high load switching capability. A relay is designed route a signal or power from one path to another, and meant for low power actuation. In a way, these are both switches, but with electromagnetic control components.
  9. I'm probably among the last of the people you would need to say that last thing to, but thanks for that feedback... The scrubbers already check and filter all the time, and vents check and compare pressure. If the scrubbers have a few KPA tolerance, you end up with a next to non-existent performance impact. I am well aware of how incredibly long it takes LINDA to refill a room (compared to almost nothing on ZAS) as well. Because of that, this still doesn't take away atmos job.
  10. One thing to consider: If the autopsy table is destroyed, how do we replace it? Maybe the autopsy scanner should be the device that triggers the "autopsy surgery", and then you just click each body part. Still somewhat tedious, but a lot better than 11 freaking menus.
  11. It saves much more than 2 clicks. Usually you have to autopsy multiple body parts. If you do a true and full autopsy, that's 11 unnecessary menus.
  12. AND GIVE THE DAMN IDS TO THE HOP FOR TERMINATION!
  13. I wouldn't mind space lube having a shorter lifespan. Lately, shitters have been abusing space lube smoke grenade spam in the main halls. That said, it's a tool that I don't think that it, by itself, is the problem. Antags could just fill a spray bottle with water and still have the slipping problem, or drop the soap. It's just the crazy long lifespan of spacelube...
  14. It's an infinite programming loop, printing out the result and incrementing each time the loop runs.
  15. Tested. I can enter the bridge. I cannot make announcements. 'You are not authorized to send announcements.' Magistrate ID lacks the RC Announcements access.
  16. It's my own programming language, called PsudoC. Specifically invented for trolling smug internet people. That said, I think this is more correct? int Number; for( Number = 1 ; true ; Number++ ) { printf( "%d\n" , Number ); }
  17. for( Number = 1 ; true ; Number++ ) { printf("Number"); }
  18. Mitigated... yes that should work well enough. I was really conflicted about the access part but maybe it's unfounded... it's even rare to see HoS's hanging out on the bridge, and maybe even less so for magistrates on most shifts.
  19. In regards to the last suggestion: To make it simpler for future coding, I would recommend that if there is only one option available for a grille, then it defaults to that option. That will achieve your suggestion of skipping an unnecessary menu, but if more options are added to rods in the future, it won't require recoding the menu.
  20. Misunderstandings happen (and as above with tayswift's reply, I wasn't the only one that read it that way). While I'm usually one of the first people to call someone out if I think they are over the line, I'll also be the first to insert foot in mouth where it's my mistake, and therefore, I'm sorry that I jumped on you. That said, and getting off topic: as much as it's the responsibility of the offended to "get over it," it's the responsibility of the speaker to convey only their meaning of their message, and nothing more. Miscommunication can result in more than just a few ruffled feathers!
  21. I was really on the fence about it for a while. It is very much within the HoS's realm to keep Sec in line, but sometimes it doesn't happen and the law breaks get so bad, that I have to get involved. I would never recommend this if the magistrate was a normal job. Only because of its steep karma cost would I suggest this.
  22. Here's the reason: When I play magistrate, I love to high RP the role. I'd love to advertise my services for trials and to let people know they can speak with me for appeals. Going through someone else to make this announcement is a bit annoying. Also, I would like to be able to make such announcements that I will be holding a trial. Finally, if security is breaking space law, it's definitely within reason for the magistrate to inform them as such, since the HoS isn't always available.

    Gun System

    Flatty was (is?) going to put a warning system on Stratus by pointing at someone (middle click) while gun is in active hand. It would make a BIG THREATENING chat message.
  24. Changing the AI detector to also sense pai... that actually a freaking GREAT idea! As anoonki said though, red should still be displayed for AI. Maybe blue for PAI?
