Maybe this would be a good opportunity to make some difficult gateway missions that reward people with materials they need to continue to make super cool fancy things?

You can be the most peaceful vox that ever existed and in most of my experiences it still results in being murdered because "lol valids". Chances are as soon as someone says there are Vox traders/raiders there's probably already someone in common yelling about how they hate vox and how they should be killed. It's even more frustrating when you do get some of your objectives and then find out that someone raided your ship (or in really griefy cases someone sent it back). Vox don't exactly have a whole lot of anything to enable them to trade/raid well. They have very limited supplies, and a very small team vs the entire crew who have an unlimited supply of weapons and gear. Vox need somewhere that can be safe for them. No one wants to stay on the ship and be bored for the entire round, particularly when you rolled an 'antag' that doesn't even happen that often. Would it really be so much of a problem to have the disablers be able to be turned off from within the ship? You could still capture one of the raiding vox and use their id to get on the ship and turn 'em off that way.

Yes. All of the yes.

I never really asked but do you care if I use this for things such as an avatar? You can if you want.

I don't play virology. I cant really speak about how good/bad/whatever it is but this little bit in particular stuck out. This is probably the reason why some people just go straight to radium. Because in most instances the virologist is absolutely never around or even willing to do anything about an outbreak when it does happen. People are conditioned to react this way based on past experiences. If you want to change that? Then you have to change too, otherwise you're just reinforcing that behavior. Often when I've been the first infected person it isn't the virologist that is helping me. They're usually sitting at their work area doing whatever and the CMO or some poor doctor/nurse is the one dragging me into virology and treating it while they ignore everything except their current project. Kinda like geneticists and cloning. I actually had a round recently where I was infected. I came into medical and said as much, got scanned and they noted it was a virus. The virologist actively ran away from me (it was pretty hilarious actually). I had to chase them around to try and get them to actually help because the rest of the doctors scattered and left. Then the plasma began. It was odd.

My problem is that I feel bad when people have to deal with being dead forever because medical is being shitty. So i end up picking up the slack when it isn't even my job to do so. Nothing sucks more than waiting around for a doctor to fix an injury and then needing surgery for deadly infections because everyone was "too busy" pretending to be busy to help people before their small problems become deadly ones. I would be a terrible paramedic. I would spend too much time in medbay.
-
Not much interest in playing paramedic honestly. I do have a medical character but I don't play them often unless i know at least one other person who's in medical. It's just too frustrating to play a department and end up feeling like no one else knows what they're doing. Y'know...for example... "What's this, someone with internal bleeding and a ruptured lung? Throw them in cryo and never check on them!" "A vox? It's ok, we can clone them later" "Morgue tray lights are just for show, they don't mean anything" "Here, eat this styptic powder pill! I'm a doctor, i know what i'm doing!"

Sorry, no. All the vox I've drawn belong to myself or other people. Thanks! I like using obnoxious amounts of color. Kikiya is a Cargo Tech. She likes cute hats, milkshakes and trading for cool stuff. Also, pineapple.

Paradise used to have crawling as a thing and I remember it being abused lots. I'm not entirely sure how crawling used to work here though since i never used it. It is functional. You can request that Cargo make canvas using the autolathe (there are a few sizes) and you'll also need a box of crayons to use on the canvas. It's kinda slow though and it would be nice if there was a way to frame a finished picture, name it and display it nicely but it's still a fun thing as-is.

"Traded" a dead mouse for the gavel and evaded everyone who tried to get it back. Got written permission from the captain that I could keep the gavel so long as I did not make noise with it. Many tried to trade for the gavel to return it to Walter but alas some vox are best at trades. Yuki attempted to trade as well but it did not go as planned She later found, slipped, cuffed and searched me but a clever vox never keeps a high value item in an easy to find place. Even got a medal too. Good god that gavel spam was irritating though. Had to PDA my job change request because there was no way anyone could read anything. =/

There is no rest for the chef once the server population has gone over 70, especially not when somebody stuffs all of your food into one sandwich and leaves with it. This is so true. It's also frustrating when someone playing Ian/etc decides to eat all the food or someone just eats everything for no reason =/

Is there a sushi recipe that involves fried rice? All the ones i've been making require boiled rice. Are you only getting plant matter from processing the rice stalks? How are you processing them? 1.) Get a good amount of rice growing in botany, you'll need quite a lot if you don't have kitchen upgrades. 2.) Grind/blend the rice stalks in the all-in-one-grinder. 3.) Take the beaker to the back room, put the rice into a condiment bottle. 4.) 10units of rice in microwave, 5 units of water = boiled rice. 5.) Throw the rice/fish/egg/whatever ingredients for whatever sushi you're making on a table + drag it to yourself. 6.) Whine at research to upgrade the kitchen. 7.) Get told that upgrading stuff isn't their job??? (the amount of people who do this is impressive) 8.) Eventually find the ONE researcher who will actually upgrade stuff for you. 9.) Be overwhelmed at the amount of boiled rice and ingredients. 10.) Realize you cant possibly make food fast enough. Sushi is a bit more tedious because of table crafting. Once the kitchen was upgraded I was grinding/blending up rice stalks in the grinder and making boiled rice pretty quickly but the slowdown was from the tablecrafting aspect (though it makes perfect sense!).

I don't really think it's necessary. Part of my normal routine when I am in medbay is to go and grab a few welders and cable. I tend to keep some up by the front desk and some back towards surgery. It's something that is easily obtained and it really doesn't take long to add that to the list of things to do at round start. I don't think there needs to be another thing that people don't have to remember to do, it's not like medbay starts with extra things for other races that need special things to deal with 'em. =/

I agree so much. Isn't the entire point of the end of round being a free-for-all to let people blow off steam? If so then it's kinda lame that one person can basically take that entire thing away because they made a bomb. It's just really frustrating and that frustration of not being able to do anything or even react can totally carry over to the next round. It's also extra irritating when bombs cause excessive lag/crashing and delay the restart of the round. =/

Ty! Also, I like your shepherd sprites toooo! They're adorable!
