  1. Humans should have something, Humans are by far the most popular race and denying them a cool item is unfair in my opinion. Unathi aren't the only race with claws and I'm sure we can come up with something more exiting than this, not to mention that with how our species are handled in the code this would have to be shoehorned pretty horribly as far as I understand it. Surely you could just use healing meds for free to tank damage. Again, something more exciting for Diona surely? Not being able to wear a belt in exchange for a shoddy weapon and 3 TC? This is awful and nobody sane would buy this. I actually quite like this idea but not in the form of a belt. Maybe a kit which the IPC can apply or an implant of some kind. Chamelion SecHUD is 2TC and a welding helmet can be attained rather easily. I like the idea but 8TC is far too expensive, one can buy an adrenaline implant for that. Changing the sprite of the player can be done, we already do it with the cardborg kit. I just feel like the disguise is a bit on the expensive side when you compare it to a chameleon projector which is only 7TC and far more powerful. Overall I like your idea but I think the suggested items could use a rethink.
  2. That is another pet peeve.
  3. Security that arrest and brig you you over a reported crime in chat with no actual evidence. Security who pretend to interview you in processing but then don't even listen to or care what you're saying. Having my items confiscated which weren't used in a crime and are not contraband. Having my Vox tank taken off by 95% of security officers - some even ask where it is and then strip it off anyway. Shotguns with buckshot. When I go easy on security as antagonist and they blast me into oblivion at the earliest opportunity. AI players who ignore all their other responsibilities to hunt me when playing antagonist People who demand that I print their requests from RnD that very moment, regardless of if the item is even available. White knights who go out of their way to assist security against antags without crossing the validhunting line. People who force you to sign paperwork for simple requests just to waste your time. Security officers who class everyone as greytiders as an excuse to come down on them like a ton of bricks for minor crimes. Doctors who don't know the simple mechanics of their job and yet won't ask, use the wiki, or learn. People who ask us to explain how to play an entire department in Mentor Help or something obscure and detailed like telecoms scripting / something otherwise that would require more than a few hours of coaching. Janitors who only mop the floors with water and then scream at you about signs when you complain. Janitors in the same vein who refuse to use space cleaner. People who refuse to yield to basic requests because I'm not the right job or they think I shouldn't be doing something. Refusing to print tools / buckets / etc. Using cringy in-game relationship nonsense to justify ignoring all other players in favour of your metabuddy. People who refuse to use certain mechanics because "muh RP" such as cryotubes or excessively waste time because they want to type essays while I have other things to do. Plenty more.
  4. One step along a lonely road
  5. Three vulps to seal the deal.
  6. More station objectives would be a great idea but you have to remember that the station objectives currently have unique mechanics and to implement more would take a chunk of work with regards to spriting them and coding them so I don't think we'll see anything new soon.
  7. I approve of updating sprites. Well done.
  8. No, it's to do with how the monkey's SE is formed when they spawn. It doesn't affect a non-cube monkey nor does it affect other mobs. It'll just mutate them.
  9. Makes sense as the HoP is in charge of these areas. https://github.com/ParadiseSS13/Paradise/pull/7999
  10. Are there any plans to actually develop the codebase in any particular direction and actually encourage original content for Paradise?
  11. Thats all well and good but unfortunately we're restricted by our small map right now.
  12. Not everyone wants to have to do a job every round. Sometimes it's nice just to chill and not have anything to do.
  13. We already have plenty of unused and unloved races we don't need any more silly human reskins. Zombies could be interesting as antagonists, and we already have IPCs.
  14. https://github.com/ParadiseSS13/Paradise/pull/7972 Open for comment.
  15. I can actually attest personally to having dosed up on 300-400 units of Saline Glucose and it has turned the tide of the fight for me. It was a 1v4 in security whereby I was trying to escape, as you say that the combat is very stun-heavy. It drew out the combat for a long time before I managed to disposal myself, but during that time the Saline Glucose did have an effect with warding off the harmbatons. The problem here is not that Saline Glucose is overpowered but that I can go into SciChem at spawn knowing I'm an antagonist and make 500 units of it within a few minutes for a constant regeneration advantage with no downsides. You're right that it's not that impactful but surely you must agree that having a chem where there is no reason at all not to use it isn't amazing.
  16. If you play a fun to watch antag you will get Karma from the observers anyway.
  17. PR fix merged - Thread Defunct.
  18. I recently submitted PR # 7888 which corrected a fix in the formula for calculating printing times for RnD parts. My original fix was rejected as it was highlighted that the formula was completely wrong and so I implemented the correct formula as provided by @Fox McCloud Since the correct formula was implemented, time to print the stock parts used for upgrading the station has increased dramatically where they are now even worse than before the fix. Research and Development is becoming a pain to play and a couple of players have given me feedback that they do not wish to play the job due to the amount of time they have to wait to print parts in order to upgrade the station since my fix. I have done some maths to calculate the time to print for some given parts below with our current variables and some things just seem excessive to me. The time taken to print any stock part on an un-upgraded protolathe takes 16 seconds. The lathe_time_factor to print any part is the same regardless of tech level - so basic parts take just as long as tier 4 parts. I am submitting a PR to re balance this but I'd like some general feedback as I've already had comments from some science players that RnD has become a literal chore to print any kind of stock parts now. My proposed rebalance PR - https://github.com/ParadiseSS13/Paradise/pull/7913
