Sounds very much to me that you got slipped and died a little while before making this post. You've offered no real compelling reason to remove it in my mind other than you dislike it. Maybe we should remove all tools from antagonists because some people dislike a diverse way of playing.

Thinking about it maybe I'm just reeling from how things transferred from the old forum. For example; I'm just very used to pressing return twice to make a new paragraph as that's how I've done it all my life.

To me the rules are quite difficult to read as they stand with very little formatting on this new forum they just appear as a "wall of text" so to speak. Changes: The "punchline" or title of each rule has been increased in font size, emboldened and underlined. Obvious subtitles have been emboldened. "Obligatory wikipedia link" hyperlink has been re-added for role playing section. Saywat's name corrected from "Saywhat". Abbreviations emboldened to separate them from definitions. Note: I have only touched formatting. Thoughts? It still seems like a wall of text but maybe slightly easier to find individual rules. Link to Rules topic below.

It seems that with this new forum software, creating a new line using the return key moves the cursor down two lines which means forum posts end up unnaturally long on the page. If you wish to go to the line below you have to use Shift + Enter. I am proposing that this be reversed to stop the stretching of the post. Also, quotes with the Paradise theme seems to be a very dark grey text on an equally dark background when posting or editing posts which makes them far from easily readable when you're trying to create responses. Could maybe the default formatting be tweaked a bit to make the text clearer while you're posting. Examples: (Using just enter/return) Line 1 Line 2 (Shift + Return) Line 1 Line 2

I'll try to answer as best I can as I'm on my phone right now. If the head doesn't respond then use your own judgement. If the head isn't responding to you it might be wise to get the captain to look into it. They should at least me communicating regarding their department. You can open as many slots are you want within reason. Ideally ask the head first if they want more slots opened. Clown is an exception and I'd seek ahelp first if you want to make more clowns. Typically this scenario should be handled by the Captain. New heads should be hired from within the department itself and again use your own judgement. Have they been a head before? How well do they know the job? Etc. Get the Captain's permission before hiring an acting head. I'm not 100% sure regarding this and SoP but I tend to just replace the ID. If it's a high risk ID such as security or a head then step with caution and make sure you can verify it's the right person and how the old one was lost. Announcements are done via the green screen on the wall. The HoP doesn't have a spare ID but you can create one for making the computer a bit easier to use. Just don't leave it inside. You can't rename them. You can rename their ID but unless they take further steps themselves it'll still be "Their name (as the new name)" You can make custom job names for civilians as long as it's within the server rules of course. Again use your own judgement. "Assassin, Traitor, Pimp" etc is obviously treading a dangerous path.

Personally I would give them a full security belt as you said. Medical headset only, sunglasses (Not HUDglasses). Armour and gasmask I think is a bit excessive although I think the helmet would be fine. This guy shouldn't be needing armour and stuff if he's just acting as a bouncer for medbay.

I am in favour of this as long as they didn't have access to the Brig and just had a locker with goodies inside the Medbay for their equipment so they would act more like a blueshield role in which they could detain and take people to the security for processing - but not act like a full blown security officer when they get bored of medbay.

I would like to see more of this kind of analytical data also, I've always perceived myself to get more karma when I'm antagging than anything else. Specifically when I'm doing crazy stuff when there's lots of ghosts. The "medbay method" never really worked for me.

Very disturbing. A competition between Guardians would be interesting as a kind of "minigame" but as a whole round I think it wouldn't fit.

Organised fights between willing participants are not a problem in my opinion. Love-To-Hug is right. The people who make rage cages are bored and just adding in more rules against things won't make the problem go away. The only time it would be self antagging in my opinion is if the rage cage is used as an excuse to attack unwilling participants.

I really don't think it's an issue. A minor annoyance maybe but just something that has to be dealt with, usually in the form of moving away from busier areas.

The IAA's job is to deal with SoP violations. Why would security have to listen to them otherwise? As for trials for all capital crimes, I just don't think there is enough time to dedicate to trials for every capital crime that occurs, security is usually stretched as is.

Gateway explorer is already one of the very few things we have for civilians to do on Paradise, and for that reason I don't like the idea of putting it behind and unnecessary karma wall. However may I ask what you are aiming to achieve by doing it?

I'd be perfectly happy with a blanket 10 minute shuttle timer, gives people just a bit of extra time to finish up and get going.

Just nerf his weapon so he isn't such an antag killing machine, I'm not sure why the priest needs such a strong weapon when his job should be converting people not killing them.

I have added the steps regarding the circular saw and retracting the rib cage. After adding the gland you can't seem to retract the ribs back and the only thing is to use the cautery as far as I remember, although clarity on that would be nice.
