  1. Your situation is something that we see all the time, and that is a civilian in possession of weapons grade contraband. Something like this needs weapon permit access on your ID and a signed + stamped permit from the HoS or Higher that you need to carry with you.. If it's security personel wanting to use a military belt found in maintenance, that would be alright so long as it's cleared with their superiors. We always hear the excuse of "It's just a belt" but it's also a belt that can hold anything between knives, to explosives, to firearms and respective ammunition. It's a way for agents and operatives to easily conceal their weapons and keep them close at hand, and if someone is reluctant to turn over that kind of contraband, then they should be expected to be treated like an agent.
  2. This is why if any high-profile contraband like revolvers or implants come around, I'll have them filed away from the public evidence lockers and the grubby hands of the red-tide officers. Abuse of Contraband is a serious security issue for a number of IC and Meta reasons, the worst cases we get are with Syndi-Comms. I always tell officers that they cannot use anything they hear using a confiscated encryption key as solid evidence, but they can use it as a lead or tip to get that evidence, or even bust the perp in the middle of the crime. The only except to abuse of contraband IIRC is anything that is found by an officer or handed into the brig with no criminal activity attached to the contraband in question, shit like that still needs Command approval though.
  3. [RECORDS UPDATED] Change log - Personnel records have been merged onto a single page and have been edited for improved readability. - Space has been added for non-Nanotrasen records; I.E Case Notes, Police/SolGov reports, ect.
  4. I think the issue is that in the situations presented, people are hesitant to throw around the words "Workplace hazard."
  5. I wouldn't say no if this were an option. A lot of people purposely choose handicaps for the sake of RP as it is (Prosthetic limbs + disabilities)
  6. It's not a roleplay issue, the main issue is that this ability is used to an obscene degree, to a point where an entire department can be made into diona clowns in the matter of 30 minutes.
  7. I won't deny the RP potential in a transformation sting, but curbing the usage to where it's more 3-4 people turned into someone/something else instead of 8-10 people in the matter of 15 minutes is more what I'm personally in favor of.
  8. I guess you could say this thread really transformed. I will stand by my statement that I'll agree with a nerf of the sting. A cooldown, at least. Having most of the station and/or security force suddenly turn into either the same guy or a species that cripples them greatly is less a "defense mechanism" and more along the lines of "releasing the engine" levels of antagory.
  9. Honestly, toning down the effect of the transformation sting wouldn't hurt. Mainly because it's a bit insane to see the same name screaming bloody murder over comms twelve times at once over how f-ugly they now look.
  10. Ny'arleth and Nurn'Kal. Sittin' in a tree.
  11. Getting Engineering to jettison the entire brig wing might also work.
  12. Oh boy, lighting round. The Warden is fine, seems pretty new. Give him a refresher of easy brig procedure: Stun, cuff, buckle, stun, set timer, stun, uncuff, stun, leave. Officer #1 needs slapped and sent to Cargo, the clown needs thrown out and the tool box needs dunked into evidence. Officer #2 needs the Chappie placed off arrest and also sent to Cargo. The Brig Phys needs slapped. The armor needs to go. Give him a taser at least and tell him to support the rookie Warden. Third Officer needs fired, no questions asked. Fourth Officer needs to be recalled, lie down in the infirmary if unable to walk straight. The Detective needs to be shoved in a Cryo-Bed. R&D needs to do their fucking job, else risk the Captain sacking the lot of them if the RD remains absent. The QM is probably lying, because I've never heard Cargo being held back by a single person, but if there is an E-Swording Vox, sending the two officers to stir up trouble should give Cargonia the chance they need to break free. If anyone in Security, Brig Phys and Officer #1 especially, gives you trouble on your orders, sack them. Attempt to maintain sanity until 1400 All else fails, call ERT with captain
  13. Or, y'know, takes it out of your paycheck.

  15. Most of the good points have already been brought up above, and it's things like this that make me prefer the roles that advise security as opposed to leading them. The hard line I would draw is if you're blatantly being a burden on the team and/or to the crew, then you're out on your ass. I won't waste equipment and won't have the Brig Phys/Medbay wasting their supplies on you if you're just going to go out and try to smother the enemy in your corpses.
  16. "Damn prosthetic hand malfunctioning again."
  17. Q. Play nice. *Moves flag off the table* Welcome aboard! Don't mind the mess, or the clowns, or the screaming medical staff, or the clowns, or swearing engineers, or stunbatons swung about with reckless abandon, and did I mention the clowns?
  18. To be fair, being a Brig Phys, I have no room to complain about filching medical equipment.
  19. Coroners don't get medical HuDs reeeeee Looking good Dreamy. c:
  20. As Brig Phys, I generate salt any time I fire a taser or apply cuffs to anyone.
  21. Tony Marsilona isn't as well known for his paperwork (due to recent technical difficulties) more for his ability to be paid off. He's more than happy to look the other way or push the right paperwork to the right people if you make it work this while or don't mind selling your soul to the space mafia
  22. Terminate the ID of the criminal as per SoP, then they're no longer under the AI's protection.
  23. [Update] - Added list of known associates, to be updated periodically. ~ Management
  24. First Problem: I'm now a girl, this is easily shrugged off. Second problem: I'm now a fluffy alien, yay. Third Problem: I've been smoking a pack a day for 5 years, holy shit my lungs Fourth Problem: I have a massive anger management issue and NT refuses to get it addressed because it increases production on security staff. Analysis results: Situation Optimal
