  1. Headbutt to the groin
  2. This sounds like something Spark would do Seshi and Spark must clearly work together to shake out every Vox's lunch money Except for Kiachi of course
  3. From the same rule you quoted: There is literally no justification ICly, as a non antag, for stealing weapons on code green. To add to that, breaking into a secure weapons armory is nowhere near considered 'minor criminal activity'. I don't think I need to explain why that's not 'minor criminal activity'. While not everything in the armory is an antagonist objective (the ablative vest is) stealing guns and other such important items also falls under this little bit. Whereas engineering can just print off, say, a welding tool if you stole that, security cannot quite so easily secure additional energy weapons without at least a three minute time limit, factoring in the time it would take to order and collect items from cargo, if other complications don't arise in the process. Weapons are also used in emergency situations. If anything requiring lethal force attacks, you've just screwed security in most scenarios, especially during code green when security isn't usually armed to the teeth already.
  4. Do you feel stronger yet Robbie
  5. Clockwork cult is vastly different from old cult in so many ways
  6. I imagine most of you probably don't even notice this and I'm just nitpicking, but after a while of walking around and around aimlessly one round, I realized something: it was almost as if the camera was unable to keep up with the player mob. Try this; take two fingers and spread them about the size of your mob's sprite, hold it up to the screen with your mob in the center, and move around. You should notice what I'm talking about within at least a minute or so as your mob bounces back and forth out of the center of your fingers. I don't even know where to remotely begin to fix such an issue, if it even can be fixed. I worry it's largely an unfixable Byond thing at worst, and at best some ridiculous amalgamation of code someone far above my code skill will have to sort through. It's not the worst thing in the world, but honestly it's obnoxious once you begin to take notice of it.
  7. Miss M is a reference to Mother 3 IIRC Second post attempt because apparently some people can't name customizable attacks appropriately
  8. Glory to Synthetica I'm also sad I wasn't in this round
  9. Don't mess with their science department or you'll find out what's in the box
  10. You're getting hung up on one detail I pointed out, when I was painting a more general picture with that statement. It looks nothing like something I'd consider to be in any sort of 'peacekeeper' field. At best, it looks like the unfortunate offspring of Wall-E and Eve. With cat ears. I also have no idea what you're trying to get at with the second half of this statement. Every cyborg chassis is durable against the basic human fist... and I don't see how wires even come into play. Peacekeepers don't appear to be made of anything particularly different than the other modules. A fist colliding with one would probably still hurt the attacker quite a bit if they used enough force. The difference is that clowns and mimes purpose is to be funny comic relief. They aren't tasked with keeping people safe, keeping people calm or following AI laws. The peacekeeper borg module, however, has all three of those requirements. Yet, they don't really have a real clear purpose. Their modules don't enable them to really do anything useful in any any capacity--not just as far as their own module goes--outside of being a nuisance in just about any given scenario. So that's exactly what they did, and I don't see any way of changing that. This issue is quantified by the presence of security cyborgs on Paradise, which already fill the role of 'peacekeeping' quite well. I won't dig too far into security modules, as that's another topic and debate, but it just makes peacekeepers borgs far more pointless to have here as it stands.
  11. I don't think you were around when peacekeepers borgs were on Paradise, or you didn't pay attention that well. The majority of the player base despised the things, myself included. They didn't act like a 'robo-psych' or a 'robo-bro' as you put it--and frankly, those functions could very well fit the service module quite well. They fit well for a place like /tg/ and their environment. They do not mesh well with us. Clowns and mimes also have a specific niche within SS13 itself. They also aren't bound by laws or other requirements. They also make much more sense, lore wise, than eggbots that spam a harm alarm and run in circles. As for the sprites, it is very relevant. How something looks will often determine how someone interacts with it, whether they're the ones playing it or not. The sprites themselves are very detailed and well made... but they also construe that it's a rolling egg with arms and neko cat ears. What do you interpret that to be, exactly? How would you interact with something like that?
  12. Not being useful is one thing. Janitor borgs and service borgs fill a theme that fits within the game. Peacekeepers borgs are obnoxious and largely just treated as literal memes. They don't contribute to the roleplaying environment... And they aren't useful. Not to mention their sprites look like someone put humpty dumpty back together again and shipped him through a time machine where they were experimented on by scientists.
  13. We had this at one point. We don't need it again.
  14. We basically already have FBPs minus the ability to start with a human brain MMI inside an IPC. Hell, we even have more customization and other features than Bat's FBP. While their concept is neat on Bay, I feel it'd be a downgrade if applied here.
  15. Even with that being the case: A) Roboticists don't have easy access to that, especially at the start of the round. B) You are correct, it doesn't work for IPCs C) I... don't think it should be necessary to shove them into a body scanner just to see where someone's cut open. Even if it's coded so I have to remove all their gear, I should still be able to see where they've been visibly cut open. These aren't tiny cuts we're talking about, these are massive slices that blood is gushing out of.
  16. Hi yes the next time I have to jab every single part on an IPC with a screwdriver/ crowbar or an organic with a cautery because some nerd didn't finish a surgery and I can't figure out what they were doing last I will break @Dumbdumn5's computer with a plastic coffee cup lid Something that says 'their [limb] is cut open!' would do wonders.
  17. It originally didn't include the 'I want to start a new act' part
  18. If life is a theater can I close the curtains I want to start a new act
  19. I think you meant to say 'Kyet's baaa-aaa-aaa-aaaad twin' No regrets
  20. I have a bone to pick with you five.
  21. I miss the days when one could fill a fire extinguisher with pepperspray It was ridiculously overpowered but oh my lord was it funny to see massive clouds of pepperspray
