Alternatively we could give them the candy shooter from /tg/, which literally lets you shoot candy at people. Emagging the borg makes the candy do 3 brute on impact.

That's... implementing two systems that we removed due to being absolutely terrible. Let me elaborate. This merely increases the issue. This is taking the idea I said was terrible in RP rev and putting it into normal rev. In addition, the revs do NOT need the buff. At all. This defeats the entire point of a revolution, honestly. In addition, this will just lead to more senseless murderboning, as revs will have no choice but to murder them alongside security AND the heads. We already have this system, in the form of a job ban. We used to have this system, but it was for EVERY round. In addition, the only thing this led to was heads searching the crewmembers listed on the paper, in the hopes of getting some valids. And if you say "make it only appear on a rev round", then that will completely give away the gamemode right off the bat. How is a head revolutionary supposed to figure out who is and isn't convertible? Not to mention that it'll just make people set their settings to "loyal" just so they can't be converted (or vice versa). This will do the opposite of what you claim. The second they max out, they'll just start murdering everyone else. It's trivial to convert people, so it'll happen FAST. And giving even more TC to them due to this will merely increase the issues I spoke about above. This is sensible, although I'd just go for no explosions altogether. Your goal is to take over the station, not destroy it. You actually don't have to kill the heads to do this, either. Choice isn't the issue, it's the items themselves. To put it bluntly; there just isn't a clear way to fix the revolution gamemode. We keep it around and play it once in a blue moon, but that's it. The concept is awesome, but in practice it just devolves into terrible gameplay that we don't want. Sorry, I know you put a bit of effort into that post. It just won't work out. -

We had RP rev at one point, it was even worse. Rev heads had an uplink, anybody could decline being in the revolution and immediately go validhunt, etc.. -
Considering changelings can ventcrawl via becoming a monkey, or EMP the shit out of doors at round start (if memory serves, I'm a glorious Synthetic after all)...

No. It was quite literally "deathmatch" the gamemode. No roleplay came from it, and it was removed for good reason. We don't shut down threads unless it becomes needless shitslinging. -

Tully wasn't "attacking" him. And you're not exactly Mr. Sunshine either. Chill out. We're trying to explain this to you as kindly as we can that this isn't something that will be good for the server. Yes, as staff, we have a general direction of what we want the server to have, in terms of code and roleplay levels. We aren't going to do a 180 and overhaul that which we've been trying to do for years because two or so players say otherwise. Either stop the rude attitude, or I'm locking the thread. We don't want to deal with this crap.

As a person that pretty much dominates the synthetic realm after literally playing it for the past two or so years (borgs, AI, IPC you name it)... Borgs are in a decent place. They have upsides and downsides. Why should they be equal? Sure, they'll fall short in some areas, but they dominate other aspects of their jobs. That's the point. They're meant to do their job, but not completely take over their human counterparts.

My vox chef character would like to have a word with you. Regarding the topic, however, I do think that raising the prices on IPCs or vox would be a good idea. We use karma as a means of increasing roleplay, and those who unlock those races are generally capable of upholding it. The prices are really small for what they are, however, so it somewhat falls flat depending on your player.

Physical attacks (punching and attacking with items) do log, the things the clowns do such as PDA slipping or banana crap doesn't, as a minor example. Provided you don't harm the clown you should be fine.
