  1. You mean stuff that's well above their pay grade, none of their business and perhaps even classified? The bridge is, admittedly, in a VERY terrible spot on Boxstation. However... this is a mentality we've been wanting to break for quite some time. Many command players find it quite obnoxious, and while, yes, you can say "Just close the front shutters!" (a feature we specifically added to try and curb bridge hoboing) there's a few problems with that. A) Only the captain really has the authority to close it. This is a smaller issue, granted. B) If you, as captain, do decide to close them, you will be met with even worse issues. Between other command staff walking in, going "wtf" and opening them again for next to no reason (research directors do this in robotics too and it annoys the shit out of me if I'm busy), and people spam knocking/ banging/ BREAKING the windows down because their opera curtains just shut on them... it's even more of a headache. This isn't getting into some of the other issues. Part of the reason we had to crack down on meta cliques after a while was because it screws over antagonists--large groups of people congregating in maintenance or public areas often denies antagonists a remote chance of taking on their objectives or converting people. The only solutions often end up being "wait until the leave", which they often won't until its too late, or "attack and kill ALL of them at once, in public". Do any of these sound ideal to you? I don't think so. The same problems apply to bridge hoboing, a problem debatably even worse because it's in full view of command staff, a hop-skip-and-jump away from the brig, and jam packed with other people. There are several other places to hang around in, that aren't as public or secure, and don't cause as many problems. Some of those areas could certainly stand to be made more interesting, perhaps... and I hope that's something we look into, alongside disencouraging people from hanging around the front of the bridge. Perhaps the bridge could be moved somewhere else, with windows only looking out into space. If command wants to interact with crew, they very much have the means to do so on their own terms, and there are many situations where that is a must.
  2. My friend the ban hammer will be happy to talk to the most toxic of these fools. Screaming and bitching at the coders in a non productive manner solves nothing.
  3. Remove cloning, remove SR, remove cyborgification being a common occurance. Yes. I'm serious.
  4. Don't worry woj, I'll make sure you get fired every round
  5. I need to respond to faxes more often tbh.
  6. I don't really think this contributes to horror as much as it does "Hey robotics print out ten cells for me k thx" And I swear if I have to answer several dozen requests like that I'm going to cry. Realism doesn't gameplay make good all of the time. I think there's a fine difference between, say, an idea to have a person remove clothing prior to surgery... and making people just want to stock up on ten dozen cells each shift. I feel this would be more tedious than beneficial.
  7. Wouldn't something being used for an engineering/ smithing profession be stronger than the norm?
  8. You did that on purpose, didn't you vallidian I see how it is >:^(
  9. This is a well thought out solution to my concerns, honestly.
  10. You're fired
  11. We'd have to establish certain things about those brands first. Shellguard, for example, is fine--it's well known as a munitions company. Bishop, Hesphiostos, Xion and others, however, have very little lore on them outside of being subsidiaries of BioTech. Bishop, of those three, has a bit of an edge over the others because of its last name, Cybernetics, but not much more. I run a character that works for Bishop, but all of the stuff I come up with is head canon. If you want to give the brands differing effects, they'd need to play on what their respective corporations do. This doesn't count balance into question; and while the idea is cool, I'd worry about players beginning to min/ max cybernetic limbs rather than using them as an RP thing. They're in an OK place as is, so I'd be a bit worried about touching them without a very good game plan.
  12. Ban arc for griefing again.
  13. I'm turning your office and the bridge into a maze again, hope you like dungeon crawling through a hallway your wide frame can barely squeeze through
  14. Fuck it, then, throw the book at them. Give the traitors more TC, have an extra smaller chance for extra side antagonists to spawn (swarmers or terrors, for example). Alternatively, have the wizard's death automatically render useless all the items they've exclusively summoned. Fizzle out, delete, explode, whatever... although, granted, this would likely be quite difficult to code. It would, perhaps, be the better response. At first, yes--until the feature becomes more well known. That said... if someone goes "well, wizard is dead mission accomplished okay bye" and cryos out, I'd be more oriented to say the round is better off without that person. It's not that difficult to find something to do that doesn't involve killing an antagonist.
  15. Add a chance to randomly introduce other antagonists (traitor/ changeling/ vampires) and you'd likely erase most meta issues.
  16. Give me $500,000
  17. Give me $5000
  18. give me 5$
  19. Oil was a change literally made to make them closer to humans. It was awful to deal with in practice and added very little. As for EMPs, while I generally agreed that IPCs are hard mode and are best that way... being one shot obliterated by a shitty revenant or an abductor giving out free EMP glands was a bit much to me. IPCs on Paradise are in a good state, all things considered, and don't really need more changes for the time being, nerfs or buffs. Give thought to some of the other races that are truly human+.
