How to win on Code Delta.

Increase photo/paper naming character limit
Spacemanspark replied to Streaky Haddock's topic in Suggestions
You could just use a relabeler. -
>ERT with different species. >Kei' Shen as ERT. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. As for cloning vox, how the hell are you going to hook it up to N20 before it dies again?

This is a suggestion for the forums, and not the game itself. Spoiler tags. You got your quote tags: Your code tags: Uh... important code stuff goes here. Hyperlink tags, etc.. Something we really need, however, is spoiler tags. They work by clicking on the button that says 'spoiler', and out pops additional text. It's really useful if you want to make a wall of text type post without actually spamming a topic. http://prntscr.com/5cm6s9 This is what it looks like before. http://prntscr.com/5cm6xo And this is after.

Gotta be fast on explaining that logic to a Tajaran. But sure, why not. -

Ahahahaha, I can give you many stories of that happening, and most of them end up with me sighing as I throw a cat eared human (Usually missing a limb or ten.) and a Tajaran or two into the brig. -

We form the Tajaran SWAT teams because we keep getting put down in the first place, though. Heretic got a hilarious example of this the other day. But yes, Tajaran are more or less meant to be insular. -
I was fine with Vox leaping, but thank God those slime people abilities were removed.

[REQUEST]A guide to coding for the server
Spacemanspark replied to andrewmeythaler's topic in Guides
How to code: Download the link FJ gave you. Open up Dream Maker. Open up the code file (.DMI, I think is the file extension.) Randomly delete lines of code. Compile it. Ignore the errors. Press Control + R to start up a server. Watch now as you have a server where everyone is a postcard and the doors are singularities. -
Can the person being gibbed get to hear elevator music while they're being gibbed too?
-
Thanks for this valuable input. No, thank you, sir, for pointing it out. It is now in the hall of forum fame. --------------------------- I actually do like this idea, on a more serious side.

This brings back some great memories of when I started playing here. The first job I played here that wasn't civilian (With Kei.) was reporter, funny enough. It ended with the captain hiring a chemist to try and kill me after I defaced them, and then some random dude popping out nowhere just before the chemist could start attempting to do so and wiping them out with an Esword. Turns out that random dude had an objective to protect me, and had been stalking me for quite a while. -
I think we need to communicate more with the community before changing things/ adding new things. We need to see if the community (The ones playing the game.) actually want the change. It's a problem that happened on /tg/station, and still happens. We'd have less of these threads if we just communicated.
-
The code base should be unique, not what we can port from fifty other servers, in my opinion. Porting a bunch of shit from /tg/ isn't very unique.
-
Oh hey may as well get in on this as well.
-
Not as hilarious as watching someone wielding a chameleon C20r and chameleon ablaitive vest during a malf AI mode, shouting "I GOT THIS" and getting wrecked by lasers.
-
I was playing on a different server the other day, and saw something so hilarious, so scary, and so confusing to security that I couldn't stop laughing. Chameleon kits. These are made in RnD, and they come with the following items: -Chameleon hat. -Chameleon jumpsuit. -Chameleon backpack. -Chameleon gloves. -Chameleon shoes. -Chameleon armour. -Chameleon gun (Don't flip out yet, keep reading.). -Magazine for the Chameleon gun. Now, about the CHAMELEON GUN, it actually doesn't do damage, it's more like a cap gun except it can actually hit people and change its form (Via right clicking and selecting 'Change appearance'.) into ANY gun in the game, however, it will fire a bullet like projectile no matter what the gun looks like. It can hold seven bullets in its magazine. The clothing can be right clicked on, and you can select the option to change the appearance of the clothing. It can change into pretty much any thing that fits into its category, although it will not gain the effects of whatever it is transformed into (So, in other words, making the gloves look like insulated gloves won't actually make it into insulated gloves.). This takes a LOT of research to get to it, and there should probably be some kind of thing that tips off security that it's fake. Basically, this could be used for a hardcore version of laser tag. Ya, I'm just waiting for the 'NO FUCK YOU NO''s to roll in. But I still think this would be neat to have.

EDIT: I'm a dumbass and forgot that I read about this on a topic about a week ago.
-
Not a bad idea, although if you're stuffed into the morgue it's likely you won't be put back into the round in any way, at least in your current body.
-
I've had people just switch jobs at round start to try and take me out as a traitor. Please don't, I don't like having to take people out of the game so early.
-
They can still break bones... which in all honestly, I'm fine with. It's a great way of disabling hands without actually killing someone, like you would have to if it was an all out punch fight. If they can't dismember completely, then I think we're good. Maybe remove the bleeding too. I don't like the idea of cutting off claws because all it takes is Cy Roberts lubing the floors everywhere and then cutting off the claws on every Tajaran that flies through it. It'll create a horrible lynch mob every time it happens. We need more ways of making other species mad that don't involve harming them, please. Hehehe.

Replacement Suggestion for Customs Officer
Spacemanspark replied to Streaky Haddock's topic in Suggestions
I don't think I really like this idea. -
Diona ability! (As if Diona weren't OP enough...)
Spacemanspark replied to fludd12's topic in Suggestions
Have a limit for how far it can grow. Erase the idea of being able to control computers. Have a weight limit on what can be transported via the conveyor belt things. Have a vision limit so they can only see the tiles next to the vine you're currently looking at, unless you're looking at your character (Or perhaps another Diona, if they're also planted and their vines are connected to yours, perhaps?). Make it so that the vines cannot break things like windows (I can seriously see a Diona using this ability to cut open a hole into security during a rev/ cult round. Or even as a normal traitor. Don't let that happen please.). -
We could do this /tg/ style and hand out forum warnings if people post in topics they aren't supposed to/ post something irrelevant/ plain Ad Homineum. I do like the idea of being able to see at least the player complaints.
