  1. You seem to misunderstand, the HoP provides them with weapon permits, the HoS however does not have to be inclined to provide them with weapons. They can either make their own ( improvised shotgun, crossbow etc...) or order some from cargo.
  2. While i have had a bit of time to think this whole thing over, I believe i came to a sound enough conclusion based on some other topics as well. I have stated elsewhere that the HoP should really not be as engaged in Cargo as he is IF there is a Quartermaster present, and if not really cargo techs can do it all alone... So i only deem it logical for the HoP to both organize and arm the Gateway expeditions. He is the one that grants weapon permits and he is the one in charge of general public so I honestly see no other reason or role in the game that could fit this job any better. Now whether or not the Head of Security is willing to provide arsenal support to the expedition team is another thing, and I will agree that Gateway expeditions should not be forced but rather spontaneous and heavily dependent on the type of round currently being played.
  3. 2. Don't you have to get a weapons permit first before you can even touch weapons? And that's usually done by the Head of Personnel so i don't really understand why the Head of Security has so much to say there. The HoS should be more interested in keeping the station safe, the HoP, RD and Captain should worry about equipping the expedition squads. 5. I think only Captain and HoP should be worried about sending a rescue team. Just my opinions, everything else seems cool enough.

  5. Ryse Son of Rome was a decent game, a tad bit tedious later on but still an amazing game.
  6. I have nothing against the gateway Explorer or anything the job stands for. With that being said i believe that enough focus has been shifted onto this issue in the time being, I also don't understand why people don't talk about space exploration more. I don't see anything wrong with the Captain letting two unemployed civilians taking a couple of hardsuits and adventuring into deep space. As far as I can recall there are many interesting things and features to find out there and there is no limit to what we can do with those things provided those people have a lot of imagination. So honestly, i could personally care less if there is or is not a wiki page regarding Gateway Exploration.

  11. Hey fellas, just wanted to pitch in and say hello since i never took the time and liberty to do so before. Not sure if i should disclose both my first and last name so call me Petar ( or Peter ) and i forgot to mention that i'm from Bosnia so yeah if you want to visit look me up! Haven't been playing for too long but I've been on the server for about 8 months i believe. But so far, i like it. ( Just gotta stop getting banned...)

To be honest the turret construction is more or less not really necessary, so instead of trying to fix the crew manifest so it includes the ERT, i recommend doing something else in your spare time. Because if you build turrets in the middle of the hallway word is going to spread around and antags will most likely just avoid and or bomb the area.
  15. Ahhhh...... screw it. One more question ain't gonna hurt. Could it be possible to make an event where the kitchen would be something resembling the popular show Kitchen Nightmares by Gordon Ramsay. We could make a red team and a blue team just like in the show and of the admins or whoever really could act as Gordon ( although i recommend we use different names ). We would also have players coming in and placing orders, an entire waiting staff, bartenders those dudes who take you to your table and the whole shabbang. Tell me what you think guys!!!
  16. Well considering everything it's not a big problem anyhow and also considering that i'm the only one who noticed it should be kept as it is, but if you do want to replace it as an alt title for the coroner then feel free to do so because it is correct.

  18. Ayyy i'm not alone, but seriously i'm not thinking about switching the entire job description of the HoP i just want him to have less things to worry about and give the QM some respect by promoting his position. Nothing else really.

  20. To end this, cause i am really giving up. Pathology has nothing to do with developing the viruses, my english may be trash but i still mostly understand what im talking about for christs sake.
  21. Having pointed this out to Necaladun already i'm still not satisfied with how this is set up in the game. Before the round starts you obviously get the option to choose your next role, when you cycle to medical you get all sorts of jobs, but what caught my attention was the fact that if you picked virologist you could also choose a sub-role (Pathologist, Microbiologist and Virologist). To make this fully clear, Virology and Pathology are two separate branches in medicine, i am not saying that they are not connected but it is falsely presented in the game.Virology is a branch where you obviously develop and follow the development of viruses, their chromosome structure changes etc.... Pathology on the other hand is quite different. Pathology (pathos- meaning pain or suffering and logos meaning science) studies how an illness killed its victim. Very simple yes? They follow the order in which organs shut down and determine the decease, they do urinary or blood culture in order to see in which stage of the decease the patient had passed away etc.... Meaning the study the flow of the decease and how it came into the body. They do not partake in developing the virus. So i generally understand the confusion here, so many of you will probably ask and i quote `` But what is the coroners job then ?``. Believe it or not his job is almost the exact same, HOWEVER, in order to even become a Pathologist you need to go through 4 more years of extra emancipation, in short, you need to specialize in this field. I am not writing this post because this is some major crazy issue that needs instant patching but considering that i myself work with these people on a daily basis i couldn't allow this to go unnoticed. NOTE, i did not want to make Neca lood like a fool here. He didn't fully understand the text, no biggy. WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES.
  22. As i'm not the most experienced player in this game nor the most intelligent, i wasn't sure about making this post but i will still give it a try. For some reason i believe that the HoP position can be overloaded with work at times, having to deal with constant job changes, borging papers random idiots who just waste your time and still having to take part in command responsibilities and managing cargo throughout the QM. I'm not sure if all or any players share these issues with me but i personally believe that if we wish to make the role slightly less annoying, we should be looking towards promoting the QM to a Head of Staff. Why you may ask? Well put quite simply, the QM has complete control over both the cargo area and the mining department. ( two pretty significant fields of profession if you ask me, and very crucial to the stations success at times). Where i wish to make my point is that the HoP simply cannot oversee so many things at one time while the QM can easily monitor that entire department without any problems whatsoever. Because even as it stands now, the HoP (despite what his job describes) has seemingly very little influence over cargo mostly due to players being use to running the place in a way the fashioned to suit their play style. Sometimes it turns into chaos ( Important gear not being delivered or DNA Vault parts etc...), however there are many competent players who would have no issue with running the whole operation like a well oiled machine. To end this here, i do not only want the HoP to get less of a workload, i also want the job of QM to be more recognized and respected because at this point the only difference between the QM and regular cargo techs is the QM having access to his office... I hope you consider this, if not it's ok i'm sure there are more important things at the time but i would love if this post would catch someones attention so we could fix a couple of issues here and there.

  24. Dont you believe that the job of Barber is seemingly pointless and very uninteresting expect from the minor antagonist detail regarding the throat slicing scissors? Especially because its a karma job, and i honestly think it should be replaced with something else. And one more question. Can you please give Gateway Explorers weapon permits, because it doesnt make sense for it to actually be sort of a job in the game but impossible to do without being armed.
