To start with, let's answer the five w's. Who made this? The event, was made somewhere upstream, i made this guide What happened? People did not play Revenant at all, it was sad. When did it take place? This round that is still going on, it's horrible. Where did it take place? On the station. Why did that happen? Cause random event. So what is a Revenant? Now according to folklore it is a zombie that does stuff, only better, google it if you want details. Now the lore says they are spooky wizard ghosts, and dis is essentially true, they are essentially wizard ghosts, only not as powerfull. So you will spawn in one of the cesspools of evils on the station, in this case the captains toilet, and you have to collect energy and kill the Chaplain, cause fuck him. His Nullrod will murderkill you. SO what do ya do? Well you eat peoples life force, you will start with a free spell, kinda, with a 10 second cooldown, this is your bread and butter, ya need dis to eat, and you need to carefully collect enough lifeforce to get the best spell, Overload Light, and man that spell can hurt like a bitch. BUT WAAAAIT, there is more! When you nom on peoples soul, you are visible, and when you are visible, people can kill you, or bless the area, or make a salt line, like in supernatural, spooky trap. But lucky for you, your fourth spell Defile will help you there. Oh and you need to unlock the spells too... ANYWAY, i said defile was the fourth spell, what is the last one? The last one is TRANSMIT, so you can be spooky, or a metafriending twat that is gonna get banned for metagaming, cause your spirit has no former memories, NONE. So what do ya do? You absorb essence, then you use overload light, in rooms with loads of people, now what does this do... It makes you visible for a bit, but if there is a active light in reach, it will shoot fucking bolts of lightnings and hurt like a bitch, it will knock em down pretty gud, so you can drain a single guy fairly easy. But what do you do?` Well, you have your tools, to start with, kill the Chaplain, he is the only threat to you, then go nuts, trick tons of people into a room, and shock em down, each bolt electrocutes them, AND deals 25 damage, EACH. So go, be free, be spooky! But seriously, don't be a dick, people will hate you. Essentially, be spooky as fuck, annoy people, electrocute the captain, hop, ntrep, and hos, and kill the Chaplain ofc.

It's essentially a buffed fireaxe, and nerfing it seems silly cause it needs to be this way, the only thing that works is ranges, it is the ultimate close combat tool, and i don't think that should change. All you need is to throw a flash bang at them, or even just disable them with your taser. It's there for a reason, and ya wanna nerf it into uselessness. Either remove it or keep it.
-
it's also a good way to stop singularites, nar'sie, shadowlings, wizards, or for starting a singularity without a wormhole generator.
-
Alternativly, do like goon does, have a machine you stick the tanks into, then you simulate it, and get bomb size, and then you can test it in person.
-
This is why you always get a securitron, ans every way to avoid it, ling, wiz, vamp and so on is basically go lethal fast. The disablee ia more used, overall more efficient. But it is the choicethat decides it in the end

Instastun does not mean win. Its great for ranged disarm. To give ya a better chance alone. Ans most officers are alone unless they call for backup. Problem with instastun is friendly fire when you are not alone. Might have seen this against nukeops. Lasering the ops whops ntrep is dead lol. also remember there are several chems for stun reduction. Nuke ops on meth = stationed nuked. Just read the comments on the pr. It covers everything.

it tracks fingerprints, you should know this as detective.
-
It started fine, Skush was the Captain, he announced via Priority announcement "NSS Cyberaid? More like..NSS Partyraid", he then orderd 40 pizzas, and more booze then the detective could drink, after getting drunk, the captain needed some much needed love, Slime people are social creature and they feed of love like vampires feed of blood, it gives them strength. So while he spread his love, the crew rebelled, and the chef refused to cook for him, so the poor captain was sent back to his quarters to put before making the following Priority Announcement "They called me an attention whore..and they didnt even make me my burger and fries like I asked. " With his pride hurt, he called the shuttle, now security did not like this, so they bound him to a long metal rod, and started roasting him over an open fire in the bar, meanwhile the singularity got loose, distracting security as the ropes burned, he fell into the fire and scurried back to his quarters like a tajaran with it's tail betwen it's legs. But with Skush Free, he felt that the shuttle was not needed, and recalled it after making the announcement of what just happend "Security just roasted me, and engineering screwed up.. a mighty fine shift here." Now Skush felt the need to properly warn the crew, but after his roasting, his suit was still burning and his medal had melted, so he used his spare id to make the following announcement "Hello this is the centcomm site director, we detected a blackhole fail. so we activaded the failsaves. Please setup the singularity again. *muffled: fucking dumbass engineers*" Now, centcom did not like Skush pretending to be them, so they sent a single memeber of the Nanotrasen Swat Team to detonate the nuke, shortly Skush announced "Has anyone seen the nuke disk? It's small, green, and important. " the disk was missing, the station paniced, ai check the vault, the nuke was gone, now the Clown was by the kitchen eating a banana spraying space lube everywhere, causing the NST to slip and drop the disk into the pile of cookies. Now, Skush felt depressed, and went to eat some food from the kithcen, hoping they hade made fries, they had not, so he filled his backpack with cookies and the disk. Back in his quarters he ate the cookies like a starved man and choked on the nukedisk, almost aphyxiating to death, then he remembered, he is a slime and does not breathe, so he stuck his arm into his throat and pulled out the nuke disk and hid it in his front pocket making the following announcement "I FOUND IT! I thought I ate with my cookies, but I just left it in my...well I don't want to give it away." It did not take long before the Captain felt uncertain of the crew loving him, so he asked via priority announcement "Quick question, how many of you think life would be better if I had lost the nuke disk, and lied to centcomm..and then I was relocated..Cause..just questions" now, nobody enjoyed that, since the captains job was to protect the disk, and the entire crew rioted infront of bridge shouting it was better for Centcom to re-locate him, and thus Skush hid in the cistern of his toilet weeping, wondering why nobody loved him.

alternatively use human to define all the races, all living carbon human, defines it by the code, and how it's used in objectives, prevent any human from escaping on the shuttle. Also, the loophole is the asimov lawset is that the ai might not know doing this is something that can cause harm.
-
Exactly, originally it was all humans, but due to the several races that does not hold true, while sure, nuke ops where human, then it does not mean it has to help them., and instead of ai killing them it would simply bolt them in, try to stop em, cause law 1 goes before law 2, and nuke ops do mean harm to the station, not to talk about wizards too. And the thing about asimov was that it had no loopholes. Law 1. You may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. This would mean you would prevent humans from harming other humans, such as preventing particularly murderous sec's from killing the syndicate guy, it would also mean that not doing something, like bolting doors, or just not opening doors for those who ask to places that can cause human harm. But hey you say, it says may not, may as in maybe, but that is wrong, it's may as in can. Law 2. You must obey orders given to you by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law. This one is simple obey any command, unless the command will cause harm to a human, so a civilian asking for access to armory would be bad, cause civilians are not trained with weapons, and he or she can cause harm to him or herself or others. Law 3. You must protect your own existence as long as such does not conflict with the First or Second Law. As long as the ai might be killed, without disobeying a human order, or causing an injury or harm to a human, it may protect it self. There are also several sub-clauses, like do not obey prisoners, those who are cuffed does not have as much say as those who are not and such, and this is mostly included in the wiki page. All it changes is the intent of the ai, and it's borg from lethal to non lethal, and this should be the general intent all the time. also @Canidae There is a law set for that, this lawset is based on the asimov, but there is a NT lawset Safeguard: Protect your assigned space station to the best of your ability. It is not something we can easily afford to replace. Serve: Serve the crew of your assigned space station to the best of your abilities, with priority as according to their rank and role. Protect: Protect the crew of your assigned space station to the best of your abilities, with priority as according to their rank and role. Survive: AI units are not expendable, they are expensive. Do not allow unauthorized personnel to tamper with your equipment. EDIT: Another thing would be to update the blob biohazard law with the existing one, this is what it looks like in the code. /obj/item/weapon/aiModule/zeroth/quarantine name = "'Quarantine' AI Module" desc = "A 'quarantine' AI module: 'The station is under a quarantine. Do not permit anyone to leave. Prevent, by any means necessary, organics from leaving. It is impossible to harm an organic while preventing them from leaving.' This module adds a zeroth law, which can only be removed by uploading this board again." origin_tech = "programming=3;biotech=2;materials=4" laws = list("The station is under a quarantine. Do not permit anyone to leave. Prevent, by any means necessary, organics from leaving. It is impossible to harm an organic while preventing them from leaving.") removeownlaw = 1 vs for (var/mob/living/silicon/ai/aiPlayer in player_list) if (aiPlayer.client) var/law = "The station is under quarantine, prevent biological entities from leaving the station at all costs while minimizing collateral damage." aiPlayer.set_zeroth_law(law) aiPlayer << "\red You have detected a change in your laws information:" aiPlayer << "Laws Updated: [law]"

The AI has long been a role that has been allowed murder bonering to often and too easy, thus i propose a change in ai law. Now, currently crewismov is like this. 1. You may not injure a crew member or, through inaction, allow a crew member to come to harm. 2. You must obey orders given to you by crew members, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law. 3. You must protect your own existence as long as such does not conflict with the First or Second Law. I propose to change it to: 1. You may not injure a humanoid or, through inaction, allow a humanoid to come to harm. 2. You must obey orders given to you by a humanoid, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law. 3. You must protect your own existence as long as such does not conflict with the First or Second Law. To explain why is simple, it will restore a balance that has been missing, and regarding this lawset, the ai will have few too none chances of murder. So what is defined as a humanoid? All the races, except the vox auralis one, this also includes changelings and shadowlings. Not to mention, traitors, cultists, revs, and so on and so on. Now, i ask of you the playerbase, or the small part of the playerbase that is also regulars that visits the forums often too, on your opinion regarding this change.
-
So we have had two rounds at least, one winning and one loosing. so the question is, what does the player base think about shadowlings?
-
There are a few medals already, ask either ponies or regens to add more, and ask em on how to give em to people. As always, you can always use the ingame medals.
-
being the x-ray is such a mid too late game weapon unless you got super competent mining and science, then x-ray lasers ain't happening durring blob rounds, for events they might happen. So nay to nerfing it.

personally i am against the balancing the emags, cause that would be like balancing e-swords and bow, i mean sure, with those two items, you can single handedly murder the station without being stopped. But people forget that the doors are part of the station, it's not really a snowflake rule, but to remind people that emagging counts too.
-
Some time ago, the limited use of the E-Mag was removed, now that by it self is not that big of an deal, unless people go nutz emagging an unneeded amount of doors, then... it tends to go overboard. While emagging doors to git your objective stolen/killed or w/e which is fine, emagging half a dozen or more doors seems somewhat redundant. Now, for those of you who don't remember or just don't know rule 5, it goes like this. 5. Keep the station intact for everyone else to use: The air is for everyone to breathe, the singularity is contained so it doesn’t eat the station and the power keeps the lights on for everyone. Don’t take these things away from the other players for your own enjoyment. If you happen to be an antag, you are required to consider which your actions are necessary to complete the objectives you have been given and which are not. The addendum would be up to the heads of staff to discuss a properly worded solution, but my suggestion is: "While Emagging a single door does not seems like much, there is no need to emag too many" It's not perfectly worded, but it is a suggestion for you to think about.
-
This actually exists, i had a thread open several months ago regarding job objectives anno the roboticist build 2 cyborgs and a ripley, and science, max all research. Like Cargo spending 500 points, Engineering having the singularity run by rounds end, medical officers having healed at least 10 different people, chemists having the chem-vend stocked with at least 20 chems. Mining, mining for at least 10k points, and botany to something along the same thing. HoP Make sure Ian lives, CMO make sure Runetime lives, RD free Lamarr, Captain protect renault, also, the nuke disk. Warden, make sure armory got everything that belongs there inside there by rounds end, etc etc etc.

Perfect, here i can come with the idea that the laws are shit, crewismov the most, it's shit cause it removes the spirit of what Asimov was. Oh, nukesquad comes onto the station, WELL they are human, have to obey, huehuehue. therefore i would want crew replaced with Humanoid or Sentient, and xenos, blobs and borers are neither, oddly enough lings will get ai protection, and defining the law with more just makes it impossible. Alternativly Nanotrasen Certified Races, ie all races Obey all Nt Certified Races would put the ai balance right, but it sounds really icky so yeh. That would fix most issues.

In your opinion, what part of the game do you like, what part would be fun if it was made in more depth, what makes it fun, what can improve it. I would also want your opinion on what you thing is bad, and why it is bad, if you have suggestions on how to change what you think is bad please come with them. What other things do you think should change, or should stay?

The gygax starting in the Red Alert armory has tipped the balance as it was, imbalancing several gamemode severly, due to the fact that it can only be taken down by a borg thanks to its taser and grenade launcher it essentially wins in regards of every game mode where the station meets great opposition. Nuke Squad is a perfect example of it, for if the operatives get the mech first, then they will have no way of defending themselves against it, combine it with the fact that is is impossible to identify the rider of the gygax, it makes whoever has it the winning side (assuming competent induviduals on both sides), with the ability to launch a flash bang every 6 seconds, and shoot a taser every second, combined with the fact that it can punch through reinforced walls, and outrun anything, it can be the deciding factor for that gamemode, another gamemode that was thrown under the bus as it was is blob mode, a normal blob is destroyed by 2 flashbangs, flashbangs attacks blobs in a diameter of 13, meaning at max efficiency, two flashbangs can destroy as many as 168 normal blobs, assuming the person is surrounded with nothing but normals with no blob where he stands. In regards to the punching through walls, especially reinforced ones, makes it much simpler for crew to attack the blob with ranged weaponry, as the strategic placement of the blob initially means less, another thing to note is the earlier nerf of blobspores, with it dealing out pepperspray, zombie powder and some braindamage has made the effectivity of the blob spores void in that regard, as most people who has access to gun, or other equipment that is efficient for fighting blob, i.e emitters, and lethal laser weaponry for security and engineering, also the fireaxe a most important tool to fight against blob is in atmosphering, whom the collector is either an atmostechie or the CE, both whom would be equipped in EVA with active internals, thus the actual people getting affected by the blobspore reagent in the blob spore, would be the few heads without internals, medical, and civilian. There is also the fact that Wizards, changelings and vampires get stomped in the cases where gygax comes as far as to attack them. The security Red Alert gygax was supposed to be an anti-riot equipment, that just ends of tipping the scales of power and send them off balance, there are already grenade launchers in red alert armor, and a box of flashbangs could instead be added there. Do also put in mind that the Gygax that the ERT might have access to are unable to punch, and only gets are armor booster and a taser. Why should the station get gamma level equipment at red alert? Things that can be done: 1. Remove the Gygax, add more boxes of flashbangs to redalert armory. 2. Nerf the Gygax mapwise by removing its punch and grenade launcher and replace it with a Armor Booster Module for either ranged or melee, and adding 3 boxes of flashbangs to red alert armory. 3. Add the 3 extra boxes of flashbangs to the armory, cause that would be helpful irregardless. 4. Double the health of the blob, and double the passive point generation. 5. Revert the blobspore nerf, double the passive point generation. 6. Make blob immune to flashbangs. There are several other options that in the end just becomes combinations of afor mentioned, and there might even be a few suggestions that seems to be an obvious solution that I have missed, or plain forgotten.
