I think will they be added is a better question, or; what can we do to help implement them in the server?
-
I see. Thank you for your responses.

Sounds fun but is not comparable to the dissatisfied crewmember gamemode.

Are there fabricators for space pods available on the map?
-
Are those pods buildable? Perhaps we can just make a more central podbay where they can be build and maintained.

Good afternoon, I am Kite, Kite512 on Byond. My favorite roles are antag's though I can enjoy normal rounds as RD, Captain or security. I prefer to be a little mischievous in my roles when I'm not trying to perform some super-project (the coloseum sadly never made it). I greatly enjoy overpopulating the AI networks and still would like to find out how to add a zeroth law to an AI. The medium-rp this server has really makes it enjoyable to me. I have never played as clown. I've been banned once as a overactive Carp NPC and altough I still think the ban was a tad bit harsh I see it as a blessing as it brought me to the forums. I hope to see this server grow out better then it already is. Questions are welcome! Kind regards, Kite.

Do you have a link to an explanation to that one? But this whole gamemode is not about converting people, it is about bettering your standing trough immoral and psychologically screwed ways. (By the way, the whole crew will probably hate you afterwards so holding your position might also be a stretch goal).

I like the idea for this gametype. A lot. Nanotrasen is a company. And just as many real-world companies it has several departments which get their individual budgets. Even within the same corporate enviroment it is normal for departments to pay each other for their services to keep their accounting proper (a certain amount of energy (money) put into a service/product must pay for itself). This gamemode could work quite well. The captain/AI live off of fines they can charge following nanotrasen laws and will mostly be overseers during these rounds. The security department will assist the other departments where needed for a price. If a crewmember can't pay his medical bill he'll have to check his respective head for mercy, after all the head wants the crewmember back to work to earn money. Selling illegal goods will off course still be punishable by laws. Mugging and general annoyance between departments is a great feature to have. Muggers that are found will be fined by Captain/AI (up to all of their money) and held jailed by security who in return gain some money for holding the prisoner. If the prisoner doesn't get demoted he can try his hand at making money again once he's out of jail. This gamemode would give some rounds that differ nicely from the usual ones. EDIT: Those rules are fabulous! We'd probably need to find a way to prevent individuals from declining the importance of the department. Perhaps list at the end: - Captains assets - Richest department - Richest player from above department - Richest grayshirt - Clowns tip money

I would really like the space ports with space pod construction (see other suggestion viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1016) in the map. In my opinion they could make the map much more enjoyable.

The idea is to make the psychiatrist more important (and fun) along with the option for psychological problems to have more of an effect on the station. These crewmembers don't want to hurt or blackmail anyone, but they see no other way to achieve their goals. They could also play a game of charisma, but never the power a rev-leader or a cult has of converting people. Some of the goals of the crewmember may be rp-goals such as the space-ninja has them (Admin decides whether they are completed or not).
-
No, their goal is not to kill people off like the revolutionairies do (the heads), they just want to better their working condition to some unproportional amount (ie. a scientist demanding to be replacing the fully functional RD or the captain) trough disproportional means (ie. holding the entire station hostage, or a group of people, or technology or the AI on an intelligence card).
-
The idea is a gamemode where there is one or more dissatisfied crewmember(s). These will get the message that they are fed up with the working culture and get an often strange goal (ie. 'Build a doomsday device and hold the station hostage untill they give in to your demand for better working enviroment.'). These roles will be played from slightly disfunctional personality perspectives and this gamemode will make the psychiatrist's work more important on the station (ie. he can talk to the crewmember in an effort to back him down). Depending on the demands/options/severety of the situation anything could happen from the dissatisfied crewmember getting what he wants to having to 'dispose' of said crewmember due to the insane demands ('I was always supposed to be captain!'). The subject can also be given the idea he gets what he wants, overruled by the psychiatrist and the station putting up a play around the crewmember. tl;dr: New gamemode where a dissatisfied crewmember does weird things (like taking the station hostage) to get attention. Seems like work for the psychiatrist! Could be very well mixed with traitor and ling's.

Then how can we access them? They are a pretty neat way to access space.

Thats why the HoP is second in command, and then the heads. Security will listen if the option is horrible rape or stand and fight. The squads from centcomm will come in waves. As for metal/research items, the 'other' station could very well have a storage where there are some stacks of metal and some exotic materials.

Could space pods be added to Paradise? http://wiki.ss13.co/Space_Pod EDIT: I aim for the buildable kind, as in a pod fabricator.
