Yeah holy shit I'm sick and tired of complaining about the cook to the HoP and he not giving a fuck. A HoP once even told me to complain about the cook not making food to IAA. For fucks sake take care of your department, no other heads try to pull this shit.

FUck after you said "virology may ask for something too" and cut to google i was expecting a joke like "what virologist do?", big missed oportunity there. "Make sure (unstable mutagens for botanists) are in bottles"? I though botanist just gave you the bucked and you filled it. Working bar i always ask for a toxins kit from medbay, and a glassfull of ethanol from chem and kit some antihol with me for emergency treatment. Your fuck ups and the signs of an explosion in chem are nice details Holy shit my radios were brodcasting while I was in crit in space? That must have been fun, I though no one was hearing me. Having never played chem I found the guide helpful.

Very interesting stuff. Like how Atmos Techs deads are very concentrated in atmosia, but life suport specialists die fucking around starboard corridor area. But i can't find a filter for race.

I'm from Brazil, HUE BR

Just remembered another one. I was a vamp with a kill objective. I hacked a med-vendi, got a crew monitor and started tracking my target. Met him wondering about maint twice, but Blaire, the CMO was always there too. Meeting the CMO randomly in maint is pretty unlikely and I realized Blaire was following me, probably wanting to kill me. I convince my target to come with me to show him something, bring him to the slot machine room in chappel maint, stuncuff him, take out the radio, and started eating. A sec came right them. My target ran, I lost the struggle and was arrested. I was trying to bullshit my way out, but my target said I bit his neck before running. It's really difficult to explain biting a cuffed guys neck. The only other explanation besides being a vamp is kinda ERP. Anyway, while I'm talking with sec Blaire barges is: "This man is sick", and injects me. Soon after my body explodes and a borg comes out of it. The three guys in the room were impressed: "Wow, CMO was really right, this guy was really sick.". No one got what happened. Anyway I was happy to be able to continue in the round outside perma as a borg.

Well mortality is deaths/pop, so I'm not sure why that would skew it. There are some selection problems, but depending on how much data admins have we could solve it (death races by race controlled by job and player play time, or total karma attained for example). We could compare with non-mechanic heavy non-human races like Skrells, that would probably solve a big part of selection problems (noobs playing human more often than experienced players).
-
As this is a thing that always comes up do the admins keep stats of mortality rate by races? I tend to get fucked up and to die far more often as a human than as IPC, but I think that's because my IPC ussualy works in service, and my human usually works in eng, and eng is far more dangerous. (fastmos, carps, hiting wires with my RPD when fixing pipes as atmos, traitors on their way to the AI or to eng pod, etc).

Yeah, I knew you were doing it to give me another chance, and to reward me for not being a dick when captured ZN23X. Thanks for that. About ahelping I really feel dirty ahelping things, no one likes snitches, but I guess I shouldn't, I read the ban appels with some frequency and it seens it really helps, by making some people change their behaviour and removing the poisoned apples. Even the bwoink I took for forgeting to set internals for a vox made me never forget this kinda thing again. But I don't remember the details about this case, so nothing I can do about it now.

I was just gonna throw the guy in incinerator to be honest, IAA was busy with the eng who claimed he was arrested on made up charges. I was too pissed at sec to talk to the HoS about it. But shift ended right after I got released. I considered piping brig waste to brig supply, puting a plasma can in brig atmos, and turning on the pumps from atmos central computer, but this would probably lead to a big bwoink. But my desire to burn the brig to the ground never left me thou, since then I've been just waiting for a good excuse (a hijack objective as an antag).
-
Helping sec is always a fucking chore, it'd be nice if someone manned the sec lobby desk. Everytime I find something that I should deliver to sec I spend minutes in the lobby yelling to officers passing by who usually just ignore me.
-
Everytime I was arrested as an antag sec was great to me. Once I got arrested like 20 min into the round with the blueprints and an emag in my satchel. I was very polite to sec but insisted I had found it in maint, and was on my way to deliver them to sec, when I was interrupted by a breach in the vault windows, so I decided to fix the breach first (I was engi). My story was a little bit hard to believe, but Tetra Vega as HoS tracker implanted me and let me go. I left wondering if I would have the guts to kill her (my other objective) after that. Luckily (or unluckily) I did not have to find out as the RD teleport gunned her to her demise soon after. But once I was an atmos and a guy in a gas mask with sec uniform identified as the other atmos tech, enters atmos and starts gearing up in fire fighter gear. I'm in eng lobby with another eng, we ask him about the sec gear. He remains silent. He's tries walking out through eng lobby but we block him. We start to fight, but we overcome him, wirecuff him, and take out the mask. He was obviously not the other atmos tech. He tries to speak to us, but only in space Latin, so I have no idea what he was saying. I start to drag him to the brig but a sec borg tase me in the way. Fair enough, I was dragging a cuffed guy. Me and the other eng explain the situation, get the atmos id and borg leaves with the guy. The atmos tech was ok, the guy had just stolen his ID. Few minutes later the same guy comes pulling the same shit with an eng id. We wirecuff him again. I check him out at the crew manifest, the fucker is sec. That’s why he was out so soon. I decide to take matters in my own had, strip him and wall him in eng construction site. Soon enough there are 4 sec officers there. I tell them what happened, and that they had their chance to deal with it. They say it was a bit too much. In the middle of the conversation one of them stun cuffs me out of nowhere. They bring us both to processing. Chaplain fills me with holy water for no fucking reason (It was a cult round). The officer put me in for kidnapping, and let the fucker go cuz he's sec, he got a mindshield. I ask him if a mindshield is license to break into places and steal ids, but get no answer. The guy whose ID the fucker was wearing second time was also in prison, on made up charges according to him.

I got a medal one shift for being the only engie actually doing work. CE lobbied cap for a medal. Didn't really deserve it, I did nothing beyond my duty, but it was nice.
-
That round was insane, I was in atmos most of the shift, working on a teg with Pikel, we made it, the whole eng team came to see it as the station was calm and they did not really had a lot to do. We were pretty happy explaining it to the engis and trying to solve the cloged waste that the hot loop caused. Suddenly someone says something about a cult on radio, the CE death alarm went off in main hallway, me and Pikel went there to check it out and there's fuking pylons and constructs everywhere, and a fucking Durant kills me and Pikel dead.

Yeah, if matchmaking works the way i think it does this would make it better, you could also do it in a way that assings jobs first and them character, witch would also make it better.
-
I mean, as far as i know, i might be wrong
-
Matching peoples preferences to their jobs/roles. You can have as many characters as you want, but you just choose one to ready with
-
I'm not sure how would you do this with the slot system without fucking up matchmaking.
-
Thanks, I've been getting into service roles lately and this is really helpful

I agree with tzo, there a lot of problems with this suggestion, and the antag streak is caused mainly by few people with antag on. Being kinda of new to the game, playing for like 3-4 months I still find antaging very hard. I got jailed or killed every time I was antag. The only time I greentexted I was arrested with an emag and the blueprints in the beginning of the round, politely insisted that I had found them on the floor, Tetra Vega was HoS and cut me a break, letting me go with a Tracking implant. Ironically she was my target. RD teleported gunned her into space. I broke into evidence but blueprint was not there. Someone had left it in the bridge. So I quite cheaply broke in when people got out for the shuttle, got the blueprints and ran for engie pod. Quite undeserved greentext, and my other antag rounds were worse than that. One time I was a vamp and got got by a sec officer while I sucked my first victim. Bad luck I guess, he was patrolling nearby and heard the wirecuffs come on. Other time I was a vamp I was walking maint met an officer and he harbattoned immediately, didn't even know I was wanted. I wasn't even gonna attack him. I tried to fight back but backup came in form of a borg, and for reasons unknown that borg blew up right next to be and I died. Other time I contortionist suited my way into caps quarter, picked the gun up, and realized I couldn't put it in my pocked, so couldn't get out the way I came in. Of course by the time that happened, I was bolted in. So I dropped the gun and tried to escape without it, but I had taken too much time assessing the situation. Sec borg came in and got me. I think someone should try to do an antaging guide to help people with this, I mean I don't even know how every antag item works, and I took the time to test a few on a private server. I think one of the main reasons few people antag is that it’s difficult to do so, people try it, get fucked, and stay away from it. Also ZN23X, I hate the eng pod antags, always fucking breaking into my beloved atmos.

Space law really should be explicit about what is or isn't a narcotic for purposes of Drug Possession and Narcotics Distribution. It should not be the job of sec and IAA to decide on a case by case basis.
-
I tested it out and while you can't use chems as an IPC in the tradicional way drinking them from glasses works wonders. You can just drink Liquid Solder and you'r brain comes back.
-
I did not see the RD doing it, but I asked about it and if I understood correctly you need to take the posibrain out and throw the liquid solder on it. But it would be nice if someone could confirm it.
-
One thing that came up while i was in robotics these days was healing positronic brain damaged. It is not covered in surgery or robotics guides in the wiki. After trying some things (Including, unfortunatly, welding the poor posibrain) I called the RD and he fixed the IPC, but the guy was on robotics for a long time because of the lack of documentation on this. (BTW you need to use Liquid Solder(a chem) on the posibrain).

If i'm not mistaken you can automate it using an atmos automation computer conected to the pumps and to a sensor (or any number of sensor), but i don't think you can do it through the air alarm. A fire supression system in toxins is a pretty nice idea, and a good project to take your time as an Atmos, I'll try it sometime.
