  1. Arresting the arrestor? Sooo satisfying.
  2. It rapidly becomes very obscure without the hub listing, last time we delisted I think the average was below 20 players on a week day, and rarely any more than 40 at peak times, it was a ghost station.
  3. The research outpost is very bloated room wise, three test cells, two atmospherics rooms, four labs, two maintenance rooms, a big EVA area, a mini medbay, a massive break room, for an area devoted to two subsections its bigger than most full departments, its just too much. I think we could just get away with reducing it to one medium sized anomaly room (with the analzyer/emitter/chemmaster) with a shuttle dock, and maybe one or two side rooms (including an EVA storage for the xenoarchs), everything is just dead-weight really that's never ever used.
  4. I wouldn't call them "issues", but the engie outpost does get a lot of stuff (nothing the science one doesn't get mind but still a lot), materials, atmos thingies, sleepers, that's all expected. But come on dude they get a fucking microwave that's just OP.
  5. Ahelping isn't really too useful if its a rev round, as far as I can tell its generally regarded as "team deathmatch" and that's how its usually played. Balloons? I've ordered syndie ballons exactly three times, each time I've been ganked by a head of staff/security officer for being an "enemy agent", you've had an easier experience Here's a case for you, round that just ended: I was a rev head scientist, went around subtly flashing folks, had a conversation whilst chasing a chaplain around and was shortly afterwards brigged since he'd seen my flash. In the mean time I'd hidden it off my person, despite not finding anything incriminating it was still decided I should be implanted, I suspect the only reason I wasn't was because they couldn't actually get access to one (HoS was AWOL). Yes, it was a rev round and I was a rev, so sec felt wholly justified in implanting me since they knew I was an antag (since someone said they saw the flash), despite them not having actually found anything incriminating on me. It was specifically brought up that my "associates" (other scientists) were going to be implanted as well, that's a whole bunch of life sentence punishment based on spess gossip. Its shitsec and it wasn't picked up since it was "valid" as we were actually antags, I know the server is light RP and all but in regards to loyalty implants nobody even bothers to pay lip service to SoP (or space law in general sometimes), if you get caught on even flimsy "evidence" its always game over, with them around from round start it just kills any and all possible prisoner RP/interaction/not having your round fucking ruined by an implant because of pseudo-metagaming bullshit. I you're lucky, there's an IAA/magistrate around, who'll either protest and be ignored or wholly encourage your mind enslavement, exceptionally rarely someone will send a fax to CC/hold a trial while the station explodes and the shuttle arrives. Its just too easy for sec as it is right now to "lol ur implantd tell us everything" anytime they know OOC someone is probably an antagonist, which is what they do do, every time, light RP and all but still, there's just no way of getting out of it. I would suggest also that the cost of ordering them should be less than 50 (1!) cargo points as well, since they are essential for rev rounds, but please, something must be done to stop them being thrown around like monkey poop in the chimp enclosure. Even if its not reducing their round start availability, other ideas are more than welcome here.
  6. Loyalty implants start off in the HoS's locker currently, I think it'd be better if they were only gettable via R&D/cargo/Gamma armoury and not available from round start, they're just dished out waaay too readily IMO, considering the huge use they have, sec should at least have to work to get a hold of them. Especially since doing anything antaggy will typically have you implanted, I get that they're supposed to be an alternative for perma brig and all, but as it currently stands implants are the first thing every authority figure goes for regardless of legality/SoP (grand sabotage? loyalty implant, attacked head of staff? implant, has syndie balloon? implant, if they think you're an antag they will implant you, every, damn, time). I just think they're atrociously overused, reducing their initial availability could go a long way to reducing that.
  7. In your heart, you are an atmos tech. I don't see how making space deadlier is fun though.
  8. This doesn't seem to be a "fun" issue so much as its a "atmos techs are sad they were nerfed" issue. Seriously, the only people who've kept being upset about space being not cold are the atmos techs As far as I'm concerned space is deadly enough as it is, making it freeze you as well would just mean more mortality that would need balancing.
  9. Changelings should just reject the implant like cultists do, they're aliens who shift shape/size/species and turn into monkeys, you'd think they'd be able to physically resist a bit of metal too.
  10. Is that all we experienced players are to you? We're EXPERIENCED, not objects! Have some respect!
  11. Do you have a quota for telling people that? There really should be one.
  12. I'm a very inconsiderate player who pisses people off a lot and has someone managed to not be perma banned yet. That said, if you see Queeg Ultor Zegax John Quitacre Honkekeke or Ougadouharwhatsit (No I can't spell it either) then it means it me behind that particular sprite. Been playing SS13 for about a year, heard about it on the Paradox forums, first server I joined was Best RP and I was promptly perma banned for beating myself to death with a crowbar, joined Goon a few times and had no idea what to do, gave up, quit for a while, got bored of Skyrim and reinstalled BYOND, logged into paradise since it was the most populated, and have played here almost exclusively since. Learned to play by playing captain, was remarkably not a comdom (I remember getting an admin PM from Cian on my second ever round telling me how not useless I was), first actual job I learned off by heart was chemist, followed by R&D, switched to cargo, then back to science, got a tonne of karma after a few rounds as a robust antag, was an IPC for while then a slimebeast, currently mostly a Vox transitioning to Grey. I'm a young (ish) male adult from the north England, Google apparently knows this so you can too. I tend to hoard items a lot, I always go for the yellow gloves, though recently I've been trying to be less of a powergamey asshole. I enjoy max cap bombs, napalm grenades, and insulated gauntlets. I don't really RP much, I do however always stay IC (apparently I have really good Vox grammar), the only RP I'm usually involved though is when sec arrests me for thermiting into EVA. I understand people enjoy the game differently, but if I see any snowflakes being dicks then yes, I will troll them (all IC of course!). I'm not very robust, which is why I usually play sneaky, I never ever rambo unless I have no choice/have a double esword/am a kidan. I've been banned once, for three days for excessive violence, specifically a rage incident involving holo carp. Favourite antag role would have to be wizard, who doesn't love jaunting around being weird and giving everyone horseheads? The thing that annoys me most: BS loyalty implants, yes, its rev and you should be implanting suspicous folks, no, implanting random people in the hallways 4NORAISON is not okay, especially when its isn't actually rev, and that guy was a traitor who didn't do anything to draw suspicion to himself, whose round you just ruined and RAGHH EAT HOLOCARP COMDOM -banned-.
  13. Could just make it a local hivemind that's view wide instead of map wide, like telepathy was a short while ago. Then you could have a gossip in the bar without anyone hearing, but not meta the lings.
  14. I still think IPC's need a lore change so they're actually made of space paper mache.
  15. Not sure about giving the chaplain armaments. Would make for interesting traitor items however... The idea of an altar is also very cool. Just make the chapel symmetrical, the only reason I never play as the chaplain is because the chapel's shape makes me cry inside. So ugly!
  16. Race abilities were OP as hell, slimes had a get of jail free card and Vox leap was just ridiculously unbalanced even when nerfed (stopping combat for 5 seconds counts for a lot), it just makes them a beacon for powergamers. Little differences like having clawed hands, bursting into flames at 40 degrees and Grey telepathy is enough for "immersion", playing a different race is supposed to be a sidegrade/palette swap, not give you blatant advantages. I like the new old map though, the updates a while ago were really aesthetically unpleasing IMO, and to areas that didn't really need it (the chapel/library area still needs a rework however, far too unsymmetrical).
  17. Just tried this with a full bag of traps, an angry HoP with no gloves, and a Championship belt, he went all the way. Didn't break his hands though
  18. Half the time I'm arrested recently, almost always for non violent things (blocking sec doorways with vending machines, decorating a room with blood from a monkey human, stealing the boozeomat) Sec sees fit to put me to sleep for ages, can't exactly defend my self if I'm unconscious on and off. I'd be understandable if they only did it with murderers and the like but its happening every other time now. Is it possible to ID lock the sleeper or something? Brig physicians tend to use it much more responsibly.
  19. Does it actually break their fingers or just do minor brute damage? If it actually breaks bones I'm totally filling my bag with them every single round.
  20. This is a great idea.
  21. Come on, we all know they're really space gerbils.
  22. But... Bigger booms! To be honest, I'd just like to see both surgeries taken out with one explosion... That said, more ways to acquire transfer valves outside of ordering them from cargo would be an acceptable substitute.
  23. Not if you have the (fairly common) escape alone objective, which is usually the only legitimate reason to bomb places in the first place.
  24. People barely ever use bombs though, at least I barely ever see them used. That is if you don't count fuel tank explosions.
